I love Dairy-Go-Round! My go-to is the blizzard-style ice cream with extra toppings (because more is always better imo). They're usually pretty busy, but honestly that just adds to the summertime vibe--everyone out enjoying ice cream together. Def recommend.

Finally was able to try their vegan soft serve. Last time I went they were out of vanilla flavor, only chocolate was available and I'm not a chocolate ice cream fan (yeah, I know it sounds weird). Anyway, I was super pumped that they have Biscoff cookies and spread, so you can make your own mud, as they call it. I had a junior size and it was perfect for my needs that day. The vegan soft serve is not the best I've had, but still good.

We came here to cool down with some ice cream after a hot day. The service was great and very patient with us being that the menu is very large. It was really hard for us to make a choice. I decided to go with one of the specials from their signs becuase my boyfriend niece said she had it before and it was good. I got the viral til tok flavor Dubai chocolate flavor; the have two option the parfait and the mud. My only complain is that my bf's niece and I got the same one. And they first made hers mud style which isn't a parfait looking so it wasn't as pretty. They tried to fix it but as the picture shows compares to the second picture it wasn't as appealing. They were both good, and the strawberry was fresh, just know it's costly and if you want to try it like i did becuase i seen it on tik tok then definitely try it. My bf's nephew got a strawberry cheesecake sundae speciality. That was worth the price, it had a lot of topping and it looked good. Aesthetically pleasing in the definition. You could definitely shared this one. Lastly My bf got the puppy chow sundae and honestly he didn't like it. The ice cream was okay but the cost of almost 10 dollars isn't worth it. It's just Chex mix on top of his sundae and some syrups. He was very disappointed with it. He wouldn't get it again. They do have aesthetically pleasing treats, and will come back to try other ones if back in town from out of state.

Loved coming to this place! I had been wanting to try it for awhile and stopped by after the art fair. The menu is so big (almost too big)! After checking things out we placed our order and received our items fairly quickly. The employees were very nice and worked fast. Love the cute little horses that fit the merry-go-round theme outside :) the ice cream was super delicious and I'm looking forward to going back and trying something new

Banana Pudding Waffle Cone with a view of the merry go round horse

Second time going to Dairy-Go-Round. Very nice ice cream place. They have so many ice cream choices. My husband liked how they list out options for peanut butter lovers or people who like chocolate. My absolute favorite, a must have ice cream treat, is the Banana Pudding waffle cone. It's the same as the banana foster (sliced bananas with Carmel drizzle on top of vanilla ice cream ) but also with crumbled vanilla wafer. The people working there were helpful trying to direct me to the type I was referring to. The merry go round horses at each pillar added to the cuteness of this ice cream place. Definitely worth stopping out and enjoying some much needed ice cream. Also for people with dogs, they have pup cups with vanilla ice cream, peanut butter and a dog treat!

Amazing ice cream place. Everything you can get is really good especially the Christmas in July. The service is very nice and the workers are nice too. The ambiance is very great and overall 10/10 place.

Not really much to say. Spring is upon us and the weather is prime for continual weekend ice cream trips. Can't go wrong with vanilla on a sugar cone. Wasn't too busy thankfully!

I swear I'm opening one of these back in Nm.

I swear I want to bring this style of Soft Serve Ice Cream back to NM. There's nothing like this back there and I know the locals would just love it! This is one of the many quintessential examples of Midwest Soft-Serve ice cream joints that serve wonderful, creative ice cream treats while building memories that last a life time. I can still remember the first time I was allowed to get a banana split...I hit my first home run and, well...that was the rule. The coach "Had" to buy you one, if you hit one... :). I remember the first time my older brother had me try a "Boston Cooler"...a local to Detroit only (really) type of ice cream drink (Verners and Ice Cream) that none of know how it got it's name...lol. IT's places like these that become referernce points in time that you can't wait to pass along to your own kids or friends, whether they want to hear or not...lol. In short, it's simply delicious ice cream that's part of the culture - a memorable part of our culture that can be and is, enjoyed by everyone! Oh...and...yes....the ice cream here rocks!

You just can't go wrong with this place! I've been here a million times so it's about time to review it! Everything on the menu is great, plenty of vegan, and dairy or gluten free options for all of my friends! I have never ordered something I didn't love here, but maybe that just because I love ice cream! There is a 25% charge if you use a card (it used to be cash only).

You can't go wrong with dairy-go-round! Pros: good variety, good ice cream, the owners seem to really care about the quality and are always updating their Instagram with new flavors, affordable Cons: the order/pick-up system was a bit crowded. I wish they had a separate window for ordering and another for pick up or something to help mitigate a crowded mess at one window. the location is a little far from downtown Plymouth but that's hardly a con! SO excited to come back and try their pineapple dole whip :)

As the first customers upon re-opening in quarantine, we were excited to be able to come back and enjoy one of our staple, classic Plymouth ice cream spots. On top of that, I had never tried a vegan soft serve before and was dying to try it after reading other raving reviews of it. My mom (proud to be first re-opening customer ordered a small sundae with brownies and hot fudge. I tried the vegan vanilla mud with mint oreos. It was definitely satisfying as far as vegan ice creams go, but does melt fast so be warned when it's super hot out and you're thinking of going for a cone. Definitely lower fat content than your typical dairy ice cream (a bit more icy, again meltsbut like I said it it the spot and I'll be coming back hopefully to try different flavor combos. They also offer a vegan pineapple soft serve, which you can get in a twist with the vanilla, among combining with other menu offerings.

    Creamsicle cone made wrong.
    Kirsten F.

So I've had ice cream here before, but this time when I ordered a Creamsicle cone, the girl put orange in the bottom, the put vanilla on, then ran the Creamsicle again and dumped the cone and all in a dish. No explanation. This is not how it should be served.

There's plenty of variety, employees are nice (most are teenagers or young adults), price is "ok" for what you get, but I would rather much visit the ice cream places down the blocks from Dairy King, since they're all close to each other anyway. My problem stems from how when they're busy, they don't want to get customers in/out the door. Some I see are visibly irritated with families with large orders because the family's of four or five have many ice cream requests. Not the biggest deal, which is where I come in. I've seen the countless, 100% Artificial Intelligence created boards that advertise and display their menu. To me, it's awful they can't use some of their employee's handwriting or creativity to make the displays (don't we see that at standard ice cream shops anyway?). It just didn't right that they couldn't pay even a one time fee for someone to create these menu boards, they rely on AI instead. I took a quick Google still on Dairy King's reviews about it, to see if I was the only one. Not surprisingly, I saw one person comment on it and said how it was disappointing. This reviewer wasn't even rude, just said how it's a frustrating experience for an ice cream shop. Rightfully so! It is! My even greater concern, where the one star officially comes in, is how the business owner on Google reviews for Dairy King was egocentric, and very passive aggressive with the reviewer, basically backing down on using AI without taking any kind of feedback for their restaurant. Isn't that what having an ice cream shop or any restraint about, listening and wanting feedback? For similar prices (and ice cream you can get anywhere else), I will not return. This whole experience, even after years of visits, is pretty upsetting and I expect better. 1/5 stars

Some of the best hot chocolates I've ever had are from chocolate shops (makes sense) so I had high hopes. The price was quite reasonable I think for a premium hot chocolate, $4.99 for a dark hot chocolate with Mayan spice (cinnamon, cayenne, etc.) added. There was an option to add whipped cream and marshmallows but I opted out. The cocoa was excellent - delightfully chocolatey and definitely spicy - it definitely had a kick. I would order again in a heartbeat - maybe it's a good thing for my body that I don't live that close to Plymouth. They also have a nice array of chocolates, very similar to classic chocolate shops. I bought a couple of dark chocolate covered cherries and dark chocolate honeycomb chips for my mother and she loved them and she can normally be very picky about these type of chocolates. She said they were very fresh and the cherry flavor of the chocolate covered cherries was excellent. These were probably her favorite chocolates she's had in the last ten years or so. Alpine Chocolate Haus was definitely a winner and we'll be back whenever we're in Plymouth.
