Breakfast Muffin with a potato rosti added from Mother Flipper.

Really nice place to come to on a Saturday morning! It was a bit smaller than I was expecting but it had everything you need from a Farmers Market. I had been for a 5 mile run before heading out to this so I felt like I deserved a really treat! There was quite a bit to choose from from the food trucks - burgers from Mother Flipper, flatbread wraps, crepes! In the end I went for the Breakfast Muffin with a potato rosti from Mother Flipper, it was so good! The coffee from Dark Fluid good too! As for all of the other treats, I had to be so careful not to buy all the yummy looking cakes and pies and vegetables! I managed to limit myself to some "Cro D'onts" which are similar to cronuts and covered in loads of cinnamon sugar! I also bought some purple carrots and sweet potato hummus for snacks later today :)

Mother Flipper Cheese Burger. What more do I need to say?

A bit on the small side but that makes it feel homely. Filled with locals and foodies, a nice alternative to the tourist filled Borough market nearby. There's a good selection of street food, fresh food and drinks.

I always want a Mother Flipper, but can't limit myself when there's so much other good food around.

We enjoyed walking around and seeing a wide variety of food options! The whole market area was clean and organized when we got there at 9am. No lines yet. Long lines did start forming around 9:45am when the hot foods were ready but moved pretty quickly. We tried: * The Ginger Pig - Traditional Sausage Roll * Wild Mushroom Risotto - Spelt Risotto with Truffle Shavings * Turnips Greengrocer - Chocolate Covered Strawberries * The Black Pig - The Best One With Crackling * Turkish Deli - Turkish Delight & Turkish Coffee * Bread Ahead - Crème Brûlée Donut

We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed! It was hard to see all the various vendors as some of the food lines were really long, especially for the fish and chips. There is very limited seating in the market so we elected to eat outside of the market as there are many restaurants and pubs in the area. From spices, olive oils and a variety of food choices, this market is a must visit when in Central London.

Telegraph Hill farmer's market…read morehas everything that you would expect: Seasonal fruit and vegetables, predominantly from Kent Meat and meat products, including seasonal game from Godmersham in Kent Cakes Delicatessen Breads of various types Cheeses Kentish wines and fruit juices The stalls vary according to seasonality. So so for example, you won't get meats like Game from March to mid August or English tomatoes in mid December. What you will get is 'just-picked' fruit and veg super fresh from the farm and according to season. The bread is made locally from organic ingredients where possible. Cakes are also locally made and delicious. Little of the food is imported (with the exception of the chocolate that graces some of the cakes I guess!) so food miles are low and quality high. Stall holders are friendly and knowledgeable, happy to provide samples and offer tips on dishes and ingredient combinations that make for perfect meals. The farmer's market's take place every third Saturday of the month; most recently on 16th August 2008. Get down there between 10 am and 3pm. UPDATE 22/07/09 A fish stall now regularly makes the trek from Essex (Maldon) which just about completes the loveliness of it all. There is also an excellent stall selling marinated olives, marinated garlic (which is delicious BTW), artichoke hearts and more.

Lovely market with plenty of fresh produce, hot food and crafts. It's worth visiting on Saturdays.read more
