I just got my first delivery from Marcus, he offers friendly and personal services. The site offers things you definitely won't get it from supermarket and direct from the producers. Definitely worth giving it a go. read more

It's huge underground area full of vintage shops! The prices were a little too pricey for me, but the best part was the food! Strongly recommend checking this place out!

We enjoyed walking around and seeing a wide variety of food options! The whole market area was clean and organized when we got there at 9am. No lines yet. We tried: * The Ginger Pig - Traditional Sausage Roll * Wild Mushroom Risotto - Spelt Risotto with Truffle Shavings * Turnips Greengrocer - Chocolate Covered Strawberries * The Black Pig - The Best One With Crackling * Turkish Deli - Turkish Delight & Turkish Coffee * Bread Ahead - Crème Brûlée Donut

It is a farmer's type market with some prepared foods, which were top notch. We walked the entire thing and grabbed as much as we could to eat. There are plenty of food places just outside the space that are open later as well. I got some meat sticks from a vendor, sort of farmers market style. There was also another stand that had fruit in a cup with chocolate. Our best deal were some arepas that were half off because it was closing time and they wanted to get rid of them. This isn't the place to take pictures, but rather to immerse yourself in all the goodness that is here.
All three flavors of meat rolls. Favorite was the traditional roll and the Lamb.

Nearly all my clothes, bags, make up and even some of my household items have come from Roman Road market. Due to them being so cheap but such good quality. My favourite stalls are the make up stall which stocks brand name make up at low prices. The designer clothes stall which stocks all designer clothes that are left over stock at heavily reduced prices, and the argos returns stall which can get hold of pretty much anything you want from the argos catalogue. Open 3 days a week, the only reason you would need to go anywhere other than Roman Road market is to do your food shopping but dont forget to buy your fresh fruit and veg whilst you are there!

Generally I'm only in this area if I'm coming back from town and I can't be bothered to walk home from the station nearest to my house. I'll splash out on a cab from here instead (it's my little £5 luxury every now and again). The farmers market is right next to Blackheath station in the car park. The usual suspects are here. So the fresh fruit and veg, the organic sausages. All the typical stuff. But then there's the bakers and cupcakeries and I think that's where the place comes into its own. They're lovely. The stuff they sell is great, and it's fun to walk around. You wouldn't spend more than an hour here, but if you're in the area, it's a good place to drop into before strolling to Greenwich for Sunday lunch.

It was pretty much dead around 3pm on a Saturday. Most of the stalls had already shut or was beginning to shut so we didn't get to see the full picture. But we were pretty glad to get out of the crowd of Broadway Market and actually find a place to sit down with food that actually attracted our eye And that was when we discovered The Frenchie and Mr Musubi. I also think I spotted Bad Brownie on the corner too along with a Spanish Paella stall and a few others I can't really recall. As The Frenchie is too awesome to be missed I have created a separate detailed review here: http://www.yelp.co.uk/biz/the-frenchie-london-3?hrid=gKCsmhJcrNc8ihLHE-Vpnw I can imagine the place to be busier early in the day. It was nice little area when it wasn't so crowded as tables and seats were available for seat down. However I can imagine it to be too small of a place to even get around if it got any busier as it was just a playground of a school. Would love to see what the Farmer's market look like though. Mr Musubi although looked great was sadly quite disappointing. They specialised in onigiris with three different filling, salmon, beef and a vegetarian variety. The ones we received were already pre-molded and was just seared with a flame torched to hold things together and for a crispy edge finish. However I found the rice too hard, cooked with too little water which really ruin the fluffy stick onigiris I'm used to, It could have just been a bad day for them. Still it was a refreshing alternative to all the other burger street vendors. I would suggest you pop your head in if you are in the Broadway market area and then maybe Netil market next door for a more busier street food scene.
