My family has been coming here for over 40 years, and we truly love this place. The location and grounds are absolutely beautiful and are the reason we keep coming back. Location & Grounds: The setting is incredible, well-maintained, and hard to beat. Units & Amenities: Unfortunately, the units haven't changed much over the years, especially considering what they charge. The mattresses are very uncomfortable, the TVs barely work, and many of the amenities feel outdated. The sauna never seems to get hot enough, and I've always wondered why a hot tub has never been added, it would be a great improvement. We also found that basic supplies like toilet paper were very limited. This property has so much potential, and with some updates to the units and amenities, it could easily be a five-star experience. My entire family feels the same way. We love coming here and hope the owners invest in modernizing the accommodations to match the incredible location. read more

Brockway Springs property is lovely - the grounds, pool and sport courts are well maintained. If you plan to rent here, go through their on-site management - very helpful. AVOID UNIT 3 MANAGED BY GRAND WELCOME. Walls and carpet are dirty, the oven and internet/wifi did not work upon arrival - it took two days to fix them and another two days to get bathmats. We made two contacts over four days about mice in the unit before help arrived. I spent too much of my vacation time cleaning what should have been done before we arrived. No one is maintaining this unit. read more

My husband and sister and brother-in-law had a lovely 5 day stay in unit 8. It was a perfect end unit! The unit was very clean, and everything was very much up to date. Everything we needed was supplied and the views from the balconies were spectacular. I cannot say enough about the grounds, unit, and staff! We are going back in September! My wife and I have stayed in many Tahoe locations, but decided to make it a priority to come back to Brockway Springs this time around. It was as good as we had remembered, and we agreed that going forward we would make it a goal to only stay there when visiting Tahoe. The staff is extremely accommodating, and the location and amenities are second to none. To add, I had a great conversation with another family staying for the weekend. My wife and I recently spent two nights at Brockway Springs. We stayed in unit 21, a ground floor 2 bedroom which we enjoyed immensely. This beautiful condo was well stocked with bedding, towels, and cooking supplies. It is VERY well kept. We enjoyed cocktails on the patio overlooking the immaculate lawn and a great view of the lake. A short walk across the lawn brings you right to the shore....fantastic! The gated complex is in a wonderful location just outside of Kings Beach. A 5 minute walk into town with shops, dining, rentals, and a sandy beach. It's a welcome change from the traffic and crowds of South Lake Tahoe. We would definitely stay again! read more

My family (myself, wife and two girls ages 6 & 8) stayed at a condo in the community for one week during winter break. It's a gated community which added a feeling of safety. Our unit was beautiful, spacious and had everything that we needed. The kitchen was fully equipped. We had a partial view of the lake from the living room. The sliding doors of the living room opened up to a large courtyard area where our girls enjoyed going out to play in the snow. There was also a heated pool and gym which we did not take advantage of. It was very quiet and the other people we did meet were very friendly. The property is really beautiful and we enjoyed taking evening walks to explore and walk down to the lake. The community is a 5 minute drive from Safeway and a handful of local restaurants. It's also ~30 minutes from Ganlibakken Ski/Sled Hill and ~15 minutes to Diamond Peak. The wifi was faster than what we have at our house so when my wife and I had to jump online for work while the girls were streaming there was no issue. We definitely would stay there again. read more

I went to the resort twice with my girl friends. We stayed in a cabin the first time, and stayed at Tower the 2nd time. We all loved the view from the Tower apartment. Plenty of good restaurants to go to near by. The hot spring water swimming pool was too cold. I wish it was way warmer like the one I have been to in Rotorua, New Zealand. read more

Really loved and enjoyed our stay here over the long holiday weekend. The condo we stayed in has a backyard that opens up to the beautiful Lake Tahoe and also provides for convenient sledding/snow fun just steps outside the backyard deck. The community is equipped with a heated pool, tennis courts and a gym/sauna. There's a nearby Safeway or Raley's, as well as a handful of eateries in King's Beach or Incline Village. I felt safe throughout my stay here and enjoyed walking along the lake and exploring the community. I would definitely stay here again when I'm back in North Lake Tahoe. For snow sports lovers, this location is about a 20-minute drive (without traffic) to Northstar Resort. read more

I haven't even left yet.It is just so AMAZING. My only hesitation in writing a glowing review is that I might be making it harder for us to get a reservation here if everyone knows how glorious it is! We have two young children, so we stayed in a single story condo in the tower with lake views that are to die for. I don't think we would have liked it as much if we had stayed where all the action is over by the volleyball courts, but we had a truly spectacular time eating every meal on the balcony up by the trees overlooking the lake. It was quiet, peaceful, and relaxing with views that no picture could do justice. Karen, Erica, and the office staff were super accomodating. The really warm pool has the best views of any swimming pool I have ever seen. We definitely hope to come back! read more

Today we are leaving Brockway and I have to say this place had everything. My coworker let me stay here because he wanted me to have a get away since work has been really hectic. We arrived Friday around 6:30 pm there was no one at the front desk but they had a phone outside that calls them when you have arrived. It was a quick check in they gave us 3 sets of keys showed us on the map where we are located and informed us they had a heated pool and sauna on site. They have a good amount of parking so your not fighting looking around for one. This place is 15 minutes from Diamond Peak slopes and since it was the last weekend to board it was pretty open we had about 20 plus runs yesterday. The condo was a 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bathrooms and 2 balcony patios. They had everything from games, to cooking utensils, spices, bbq the list goes on. I definitely would stay here again and we had a nice view of the lake. read more

An absolutely gorgeous spot on the lake. Our living room was literally steps to the lake with unobstructed views of the water. The super heated pool was a huge hit with the kids in the dead of winter. They had icicles forming on the tips of their hair, but were happily swimming in a steamy pool overlooking the lake. Pretty dreamy. The sauna is excellent too after a day in the snow. Their customer service is top knotch too. I became stranded after a trip to the ER (broken shoulder) and literally could not get an Uber or taxi back to my car for 3 hours (maybe they were all out skiing?!) the manager Karen actually drove myself and my daughter to my car, located 20 minutes away, free of charge. I've stayed at Brockway Springs a couple of times now during my trips to Tahoe. A couple of times with family, and one time with friends. I absolutely love this resort. They have tower buildings which include rooms with kitchens and bathrooms. The tower is similar to staying in a hotel, with the exception of having kitchens. Aside from the tower rooms, they also have cabins, which are awesome. Staying in the cabins is pretty much like renting out an entire house. Last time I was there with friends, we rented out a 5 bedroom cabin which was 3 stories, had a kitchen/living room, 3 bathrooms, large screen tv, washer, and dryer. The perks of staying at this place is being in a gated community. They also have a pool and spa that is heated year round, which makes it very fun to go swimming while there is snow all around you. Overall, the resort is very nice. However, if you want to stay somewhere and have night activities, this isn't the place to be. Kings Beach is up in North Tahoe and is super quiet at night. Totally the opposite from South Tahoe with all the casinos. Great place to relax. read more

Brockway Springs was my home for a weekend. This place is great, a lake view and an entire nicely appointed condo for the price of a hotel room. I think about the crappy room I had one time in South Lake with a view of the casino parking lot and then I think about the peaceful splendor of Brockway. I'm big fan of space, so having a full kitchen, fireplace, living room/dining room, bedroom etc was just what I was looking for. Private patio with nice gas grill also included and you can park right behind your unit usually. There are hot springs which are closed at this time of year, a sauna, and a nice lake front recreation area. The Trade Winds, a little dive bar, and some decent eateries are within walking distance down the street. I should also note that the many-hued autumn foliage in Tahoe right now shows that California does too have recognizable seasons. Left coast represent. read more

My husband and I have been going to Brockway Springs every summer for years. He's been lucky to have been doing these annual trips with his family since his high school days. My in-laws rent the same condo for two to three weeks every year. For one wonderful, long weekend, we're invited to enjoy the sun and lake with them. I only recently found out how much these weeks cost (gulp), so I'm even more appreciative that I've been invited all these years. I think in future years, my husband and I would only be able to afford a long weekend in total. The condo we stay in has some older decor, and it's got a bit of a country feeling - but it all depends on the owners. I've seen other units decked out in all marble and looking like a Pottery Barn. You know you're not in the city when the night comes and all you hear is the water from the lake in the distance. If your windows are open, you can hear everything around you. A short walk along million dollar homes brings you to a nice pool area. A few more steps and you're either set for a tennis match, or you're on the dock (renovated in recent years) over the lake. The water is too cold for me, but my husband loves going down to the lake and swimming out to the wooden platform. Many a cannonball has been seen launching from this platform by kids and adults alike. I've been out on the lake once, and I must say, it's a beautiful swim. It takes me 30 minutes to get fully into the water, so I'd rather get into the warmer pool. Yes, I'm a wuss. For those much more disciplined than I, there is a gym and sauna on site under the recreation center. Maybe it's the water. Maybe it's the idea of getting away from the city for a few days. I don't know. What I do know is that I look forward to this weekend every year. A full weekend of doing nothing but laying out and reading (if I'm not napping). read more

I stayed here for a week before Christmas and it was great. I had the 3 bedroom condo with a lake view. There was a full kitchen and 2 1/2 bath. It's very roomy and comfortable. It's in Kings Beach/North Tahoe area, so there isn't a lot to do around town but that is good if you want to have a relaxing time away. I would recommend going to the Lighthouse spa for a massage and check out the safeway in town. It has everything you need to stock a kitchen with food if you don't want to eat out for every meal. read more

Loved Brockway Springs! Our family of 4 adults stayed in the Lakefront Tower the 3rd week of March. The property is a gated community, well maintained and beautiful. Our unit was impeccably clean and fully stocked (pots, pans, platters, utensils etc). We had 3 very comfortable bedrooms and 2 luxury bathrooms. We used the pool and sauna. It was a short walk from the tower. We saw 3 deer on our walk. Again, very well maintained and very clean. The temp was in the 50s but the pool was a glorious 85-90 degrees. I think our favorite part was being right on the lake and the absolutely stunning view from our unit. The units have an electric grill which we were leery of at first, but we grilled 5 large steaks on it and they were fantastic! We only interacted with a couple employees but they were extremely helpful and courteous. We were a short drive to several excellent restaurants of varying price points. The town is charming too. We all loved it so much we want to come back every year! read more

I was recommended this place by a friend who stated this place was wonderful! My mother, sister and I had planned on going to Tahoe for the first time to celebrate my sister and I's birthdays! So, we booked the condo a month and half in advance. My card was charged the day I booked the condo with no refunds, per there policy. Which, I agreed too with some hesitance. We checked into the condo around 4:15 pm. The condo had just the basic amenities, but the view was beautiful! Turned up the heat and it was not kicking on. We let it try to warm up for 45 minutes, still was not warming up. So called the front office before they closed at five. Talked to a lady at the front office who said it's an older unit and since we just checked in give it some time to warm up. So we did. We unpacked and left for our birthday dinner and did not return back to the condo until nine that evening. Checked the thermostat and the heater still was not kicking on. Called the after hours emergency number. A man answered and apologized and told us someone will be over right away to check it out. Heard a very aggressive and aggravated knock on the door. It was the front office lady, whom I spoke with prior. She didn't believe us that the heat was not working and messed with the thermostat only to find out the truth that there was NO heat! She walked out the front door mumbling under her breath..."I guess I'll have to find you another unit!". We waited for her to return and she gave us a key to another unit across the way, but not without giving us attitude. Her words to us were, "I don't know why I was notified 5 hours later that the heater wasn't working?!?" My face, was you were notified and you did nothing about it. My sister then stating to her, "It sounds like you're making it an inconvenience for you, when this is an inconvenience for us!" Where she then yelled, " I don't need your attitude young lady!" Seems to me she was the one with the attitude. You would think after paying a month and half in advance they would check to see if everything is working properly and is ready to go for our arrival...seems to me the lady up front needs to be more personable to clients who are paying good money to rent out there condominiums. Its called good customer service an area she clearly lacks! So needless to say we moved to the other unit and did not hear one apology. As a result, we will not be staying at there facility again. read more

Brockway Springs is a wonderful spot along the North Shore. The lakeside pool is heated by the natural hot springs and features a sauna and a clubhouse. They've got a relatively new dock with a swimming area that's perfect for sunset gazing or 4th of July fireworks. Just beautiful. It's surrounded with gigantic houses... perhaps "compounds" would be a better description. One of which is currently on the market in the ballpark of $5 million. Hoo-wee, but it is impressive. Within walking distance of Kings Beach and a short hike from the state line, it's a great location for hanging around the quieter North Shore. If you have the opportunity, it is a wonderful place to stay. Calmer than South Shore, although casinos and concerts aren't quite as plentiful. A much more relaxing side of the lake, and that's why I love it. read more

My family (and extended) of 10 stayed Friday-Sunday in unit #44. We all HIGHLY recommend this property. We all had a great time and did all of the 'Tahoe' things - made snow angels, snowmen, snow tubed, etc. This particular unit has a very cozy and lovely décor. It has plenty of room with the 3 full bed/2.5 baths and a loft with a queen bed. The home is stocked with games, puzzles and a few kids toys. There is a nice view of the lake from the main deck and master deck. The kitchen is fully stocked - even has a waffle maker! Great place and we are already planning a summer trip! read more

I have been coming here for 20 years, my parents took me here as a child and we still go to this day, I now go with friends too. This is the ONLY place I will stay in Tahoe. The rooms are hit or miss, some are updated some are not but that doesn't matter to me, the huge grass area is amazing, I remember playing all evening on those rocks and the pool is AMAZING. I still to this day spend all day at the pool, and It is in walking distance of kings beach, I will be going here for life! read more

My family and some friends stayed in Condo unit 15, The room was nice and clean. the size of the bathroom is just perfect. The smell of the pine tree, the fresh air and the lake view is just amazing. The heated lakeside pool is unbelievable that i don't want to get out of it. The clubhouse bathroom and Sauna is incredibly clean and well managed. Our family has stayed here for a week every July for the past several years. This gated, lakeside condo complex has beautiful lakeside views (depending on specific condo), a lakeside pool and tennis area, and nicely kept grounds. The quality of the condos is generally high, but varies depending on the specific unit rented--so select with care. The complex had a major facelift a couple of years ago, including replacing all of the decks/balconies. Some of the units are in a multi-story tower and the front ones have great views. The other condos are attached townhouses. The ones next to the lake have beautiful views. Most are arranged in a crescent around a large lawn and have mixed views. The staff is generally responsive and will fix problems in a hurry. Each unit has a Weber gas barbecue on its deck. Wireless internet generally works well. Parking is a bit tight on holiday weekends. The noise from Highway 28 is a bit annoying during the summer when the windows are open. read more
