Few of them told me that I would have to replace the entire panel, a few of them told me they couldn't come out for a few days, but when I got a hold of Chris says he can come the next morning. I sent him some pictures and he was able to quickly find the part and give me a quote. He showed up the next morning on time and completed the job pretty much in 30 minutes. We hired this company to fix our sewage system that was working, but having electrical issues. We…read moreagreed to the scope of work and paid a deposit. They started the job and then at the end of the day left the job saying they needed parts. However, the sewage system was now completely non-functional for the next 3 days while we waited for parts. Wouldn't it have been a good idea to make sure you can put the electrical system back together before taking it apart? Guess not. So 3 days of no sewage use, and the electrician comes back with a used part (only to find out later that it was the same faulty part he took out from my system). Puts it in and says he finishes the job. The same problems came back (surprise) and within 3 days the sewage overflowed due to faulty electricals. I called other companies had initially provided an estimate(but then mistakenly went with American Electrical Service) and they showed me with pictures that the system looks the same as before. Nothing had been done. So what did I pay AES for? I spoke with the AES electrician and he offered me to go with another company and he would refund my money. So I hired another company who got the job done. After agreeing to return my money, the electrician in charge ghosted me and never responded. It has been over SIX MONTHS and nothing yet. This is not the first time I have dealt with unscrupulous contractors but I am surprised a 4+ star company on Yelp is this untrustworthy. I am taking the appropriate actions on this matter including contact with the licensing board, but want to warn others that this company is unethical, irresponsible, and in my opinion, crooks. I don't want to mention the electrician by name, but I personally would not work with Mike from American Electric Service. BE WARNED.
