I desperately needed an electrical panel upgrade as I had an old Zinsco type panel which was a fire hazard. I called three companies that did work in the Santa Clarita Valley. Edwin Gomez, the owner of E4 Electric, was the first one to answer the phone and was the 1st on to come over to my house, He provided me a bid for the job immediately. His bid was given to me verbally at that time and he also provided a professionally written quote, which included the plan for the job with all the parts needed. He was professional in every way. His bid was the fairest bid of the three I obtained. Of course, he was selected without fear or reservation. He obtained a permit from the City the next day and made a plan to start the job as soon as my calendar would permit it (about three days). He was on time every day of the job (3 days) and ensured that the work site was clean at the end of each day. I own a 1925 Spanish home in the City of Inglewood, and have been doing a lot of repairs and upgrades to prepare my home for sale. I ordered a new wall oven, but when it was delivered, the tech told me that I needed a large enough beaker for the new oven to work properly. So, I started my search on Yelp to find an electrician will great reviews to add the new breaker and dedicated new wire. After no response or very delayed response from the other top rated electrical companies on Yelp, I decided to give E4 Electric my business since Edwin was really the only one of the bunch to take time to follow up with me without delay. We scheduled a conciliation to verify what needed to be done, which most companies won't spend the time to do, and then setup a date the same week to upgrade the breaker to 30 amp for the new oven specification. Edwin came on time with an assistant. They are both very professional and got the job done quick without interrupting my focus while working from home. Edwin even answered all of my questions about the breaker size and the new wire pull path. Edwin also told me that he did another breaker upgrade for another client who had a similar issue with a 20 amp breaker that was not large enough to support the wall oven, and when it was upgraded the oven worked fine. So he suggested we leave the existing oven in place when the breaker was upgraded and new wire pulled to see if my old oven would work again. Well it did, and that saved me about $2,000 cost of the new oven and installation cost. I also asked Edwin to change out a dining room light fixture, which worked out well.
