Purchasing another piece of Broene's Amish- made furniture. Why? Well, it's not my first (11 pieces actually). It's because of their beautiful, well crafted and made furniture. It's because of their great sales and service. And they stand behind it. I had one piece, a dining room chair, that developed a loose slat in the back. They fixed it, no questions and no out-of-pocket to me. As promised. I've had many of these pieces for a number of years and they look like new. Boy, do they wear! I highly recommend them. My experience as a customer of Broene's Furniture in Allendale Michigan has been less than enjoyable. I can only suppose the sales people are either uninformed about what they are representing, but then realized that they are simply deceptive by what they do not tell you. My experience at Broene's furniture has been great!!! The people that work there are really nice and they will help you and answer any of the questions you might have at their best. I own a table, a couch, a sofa and multiples chairs so far and I can tell with all honesty that all the furniture is made great and out of really nice materials, in fact I believe they will probably last as much as I will! We bought (2) leather sofas and a recliner from Broene's. Previously we bought leather furniture from Art Van and the leather cracked and the color started to come off. At Broene's we told the sales person that we did not want this to happen and he showed us how their leather is better. We were not looking for cheapest- we wanted quality and he pointed us to their best. He said the color permeates the leather so there is no chance we would lose color like before. Well, a couple years later and it's happening. A dark leather couch shows white where the color literally rubs off. I wish I could show a picture. They offered to fix it once on one sofa but they said that is not their policy and would not do it again. We had to really be aggressive to get one sofa fixed. We bought most of our oak furniture from them, but I will never go back because they failed to stand behind their product. read more

I ordered a house full of furniture from Broenes. I was impressed by the selection. However, the product that was delivered was not as promised. I wanted a deep seat in my couch. The sectional couch that was delivered was 4 inches less in depth than promised. When I showed them the difference in measurements they refused to take the product back or stand behind it in any way. I told them I didn't want a refund but would take a store credit for the difference if they got me a sofa of the depth I wanted instead of the sectional. The owner okayed that. After they picked the sectional up and ordered the sofa instead he changed his mind and told me I could get the difference back IF he sold the sectional, AFTER deducting storage fees and extra money for the trips back and forth. It's been over a year and I have not heard a word. Very poor customer treatment. I would not recommend them. read more
