Went to this winery for a wonderful wedding! This winery is very concrete, full of barrels, spacious and the inside, is huge! It is great to hold private venues, such as weddings, here! During the pre-wedding, they were serving up Quadrant gold and platinum wine, where they blend the different types into one wine! Call me a Wine-Oh! Second time into this younger winery and signed up on the wine club. I don't usually go for whites because I feel that reds have more life to them and simply just like reds better. However, that being said every white I tasted (five or six of them) I really liked. The had a 2010 Shimmin Canyon Vineyard Viognier that was absolutely wonderful with a very inviting taste of honeydew and mangos and not too fruity but just the right amount. Ended up buying a case of the 2010 Triptych White at $60 on the case price ($5 a bottle) and better than most $10 whites. I don't think you can go wrong with the whites here, but wasn't that impressed with the reds. If you are looking for a white I would try this place and location is great. read more

We came here in October with Covid restrictions still in place. We felt totally safe and taken care of, especially by Susan! She really hooked it up for us and gave us the best education during our tasting! The mushrooms we ordered were perfection and the pizza was great too. Very kind and friendly winery. The staff is open and suggestive about their wine and willing to open up other bottles not listed on the tasting menu. :) The inside looks like a cozy house, and the servers are very warm and hospitable. There is a large fireplace with couches and games to play or unwind. There is also a collection of jewelry, and fun wine items to purchase. The winery also has a café connected to the location. We ordered the warm brie plate with roasted garlic. It comes with a million cracked wafers, but, we ended up using all of them to soak up the yummy cheese and garlic. The tastings are $10, but, if you purchase a bottle of wine, that will go towards the tasting. The cheese pairing is delicious, however, the $10 cheese pairing does not go towards your purchase of wine. It is non-refundable, but I would suggest the cheese pairing. read more

Came here for some wood fired pizza while out riding. Renee helped us to decide what kind of pizza to order. They make their own dough here and cook it in a wood fired oven. We had 3 different kinds including my favorite the quattro formaggi which is a white sauced pizza. All of them we had were amazing. We also had the olives and mushrooms which had a great flavor and several kinds of olives. Overall I really liked this place and will be back. Highly recommended. read more

During COVID the tastings are all outdoors around tables in a shaded but very windy area. Our server was quite busy -- was doing tastings with a number of different table groups, so she was doing the best she could do under the circumstances. We enjoyed the wines very much. Several were extremely good. The ambiance is probably much better when the tasting can be done indoors. We did not order any food, so I cannot comment on that portion of the service. I would come back again. I just think the ambiance would be better when not confined to the outdoor patio. But they can't help it, and they are doing the best they can under the circumstances. read more

My wife and I made a stop here because they are one of the few wineries that advertise food options, and we are always looking for pairings or just a good charcuterie plate to nibble on with our wine tasting. Now I will let you know that if you are reading this and you stop by to see if I'm full of bologna, the wonderful ladies pouring were informative and super friendly making the whole experience worth every cent. The entire place was super clean and open and airy with wafts of great food cooking and really tasty wines, I'm not a white wine person but they changed my mind and the reds and blends were so warm and delicious. I went from a tasting to a glass of my favorite, to buying 4 bottles. Broken Earth Winery was our first stop on this adventure to the Paso Robles wine district. Upon entering the tasting room we were in awe of how large of a space they have complete with comfortable seating and an onsite restaurant. We grabbed a seat on one of the many sofas and was greeted by Trudy, our tasting host for the day. Broken Earth has a large selection of wines and the winemaker incorporates the use of many grapes to provide an expansive taste experience. We were introduced to several varietals we had never tasted, educating our taste buds to new wines. Broken Earth wines are easy to drink, good structure with plenty of fruit on the front and back end of each taste. The wines are affordable and the selection will fit every taste as well as every pocketbook. As a compliment, we enjoyed our visit to Broken Earth Winery so much we lost our track of time and almost missed our next wine tasting appointment. I had a great time here with friends. It did not hit me until later that I have actually been to Broken Earth in Paso Robles. I loved the inside...awesome seating areas and lovely interior design. Service was great (especially from Tina, as we came in on a busy night and were a group of loud girls talking and doing lots of drinking). Wine options are perfect. There is something here to please everyone. We ordered in pizza from Joanie's next door, and also had some of the cheese options for an appetizer. Rounded off our weekend getaway with a tasting and a light meal at Broken Earth Winery. The winery had a relaxed/somewhat casual feel to it which we were looking for. We walked in and we're met with friendly faces. We were sat and served by Annie, who is so lighthearted and friendly and makes you feel right at home. I'm not much of a rosé girly, but their rosé was particularly delicious. I am a member of several clubs in Paso Robles and this one is by far the worst with regard to customer service. I signed up some friends through their referral program where they promise to give you a $100 gift card with each referral after your referral gets at least three shipments. It had been over a year since I signed them up so I decided to look into where my gift card was back in the beginning of May. I emailed their customer support team and got ghosted initially. This should have been my first red flag. I finally got a reply from Matt Dolman two weeks later stating that one of my referrals indeed had their 3rd shipment sent back in February and "they would send out a gift card that week.." Nearly two months later and still no gift card or replies to my follow up emails. I have been a loyal customer for nearly three years however this company's lies and deceit have been the final straw. I finally cancelled my wine club membership because I couldn't deal with their abhorrent customer service. Potential club members beware! read more
