Always enjoy coming to Brome; it's one of my go-tos when I'm craving a burger. It is walking distance from my house so I am here often, and I haven't ever had a bad experience. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is always clean. The food is always fresh and prepared wonderfully. On this most recent visit, I ordered my usual burger, the Mex with a side of fries. Normally when I come with other people I'll opt for the chili cheese fries (which I HIGHLY recommend, probably my favorite thing on the menu) to share, but I went with the regular fries this time. The burger was excellent, cooked to perfection and tasted great. I was too full from the burger and fries, but if you're in the mood for dessert I usually get the Oreo shake. They usually have a shake of the month which is always something interesting and worth trying. If you're not a burger person, their salads are excellent. I'm not really a salad person but I've had both the chicken Caesar and the kale crunch salads. Both are super tasty and a nice and healthy alternative. They are a little on the pricier side for a burger, but you're definitely getting what you pay for quality-wise. read more

As soon as you walk in you can appreciate the aesthetics of this spot, the decor is lovely. I got the classic burger and it was delicious, food came out pretty quick. However I regret asking for well-done since the patty was pretty dry. My SO got the dante burger, i had a bite (i'm super sensitive to spicy food) and it lived up to the triple chilli peppers beside it on the menu- THE SPICINESS LEFT MY LIPS TRAUMATIZED but so good especially the turkey bacon *drool* the fries were a bit soggy but seasoned well. Such a disappointment! We drove there on purpose, wanted to try their impossible burger, and our last experience was very good. They were out of impossible, so I ordered the veganmami with vegan mayo and my hubby got the original one. Both were less than average. I opt for vegan mayo instead of the vinaigrette and maybe that was a mistake. The burger was very dry, barely any mayo, one sad leaf of lettuce, little onion, and one slice of tomato.... also they made a mistake with my fries, brought regular instead of sweet potato, so I had to wait until they bring the correct ones. Once arrived, they were dripping in oil... and totally tasteless. My hubby's burger was exactly the same, lack of flavor, skimpy on toppings and very, very average. Fries were slightly better than mine, but still, very average. We had such a great experience last time, so it was a shock for us on how average everything was. It has an industrial feel with exposed ductwork, industrial lighting à la Restoration Hardware and poured concrete floors. However, the space is softened with greenery and tufted upholstery. Outdoor seating on Michigan Ave seemed remarkably tranquil. Parking is in the back; the entryway from there leads to a well-marked floor that lets customers know where to go if dining in or getting take out. Before approaching the counter, you can decide from among burgers, salads, hot dogs, and sides. Beverages include floats, regular and artisanal sodas (as well as grape Faygo!), and citrus-infused waters. I went with the One-Eyed Brome which is a burger topped with beef bacon, avocado, cheese, and a fried egg. I ordered it with fried onions (onion straws) for flavor and texture. In addition, I had a side of sweet potato puffs. While these puffs (tater tots) were plentiful and delicious, I unfortunately found the burger lacking in flavor and the patty over-cooked. Although they're known for their burgers, most recently I got their Impossible Burger with an order of the Butter Chicken Fries - I was impressed. The Impossible Burger tasted like ground meat, I wouldn't been able to tell the difference! The Butter Chicken fries don't really take like Butter Chicken. The staff are very rude here and are beyond terrible at taking food orders. This is unfortunate because it's such a beautiful restaurant and the food is not bad. But not greeting customers, being rude when taking orders and looking pissed when someone tries to give a tip via credit card and not cash, not calling out names/order numbers when ready, and not remembering what ingredients go into the burgers and having to ask customers **20 minutes** after ordering what type of burger they ordered and what goes in it (which is clearly written on the restaurant's digital copy!) is not what I expect for $13+/burger and $7+/fries. AND THEN finally when you get your order and drive home, finding out they still somehow managed to mess up the order?? Plain chicken 'burger' with no sauce, no lettuce, jalapeño, NOTHING at all just because you asked for no corn?? And I wish I could say this was just a one time bad experience and that they're usually not like this but it's happened both times I tried going here! I've come to Brome for years and I order the same thing every time. I ordered a large house salad with crispy chicken. I opened it up and there was an entire mountain-like layer of CRUSHED croutons. I was so confused. Granted, I asked for extra croutons, but for them to come as finely crushed as saw dust-- I was actually confused. And there was not a single normal shaped crouton. Had the Waygu burger and it was good but not worth the price. It wasn't THAT good..Hubs had the veggie burger and while good, it fell apart and he needed a fork to eat it. The other couple with us had a veggie burger as well with the same results of it falling apart and the other person had the fish. It was good she said but smaller than expected. I had had my eye on Brome for a really long time. As a former resident of Dearborn I still keep an eye on goings on and biz openings there so when I saw this coming I was excited to check it out. But then life got in away and I wasn't able to make it out as early as I would have liked. Instead, I watched pictures roll in on Yelp, and snaps of delicious looking burgers and shakes posted on instagram by friends who stayed in Dearborn. I was jealous and looked for the right opportunity to visit myself. It finally came along today when I met a friend there for lunch who works in Dearborn. I was READY, you guys. Last night my husband asked me if I wanted to go out for burgers. "NO!" I said, "I'm saving myself for Brome!" I was red meat ready! But then when I got there and I looked at the menu the one that caught my eye the most? The vegumami burger. IDK, guys. I'd had a stressful couple of days and my appetite suffered. Suddenly I didn't want something so heavy as red meat. The vegan patty called out to me, surrounded by cheddar cheese, sautéed mushrooms, field greens, tomato, onions, and chipotle mayo. It was GD delicious. I'm no vegetarian but I'll be craving this patty for a long time to come. Vegetarians and vegans, you definitely have a delicious option here. The french fries were delicious. You can get them with salt and pepper or one or the other. I am not big on pepper so I opted for just salt. As I previously mentioned, I've been stressed and I definitely rely on the comfort of sweets during difficult times so I opted for a vanilla bean milkshake. It comes with a bubble tea straw so it's nice and wide, which makes drinking the delicious dairy concoction easy peasy. The space is lovely. Open and airy with plenty of seating, both small tables and large. The greenery on the walls is awesome and high fives for the Freestyle Coke machine. It's a fast casual style--meaning you order at the counter and they bring you your food to your table. No formal wait-service here. Prices are higher compared to most "fast food' joints but you get what you pay for since everything is fresh and tasty. I just wish they had been open when I lived out that way. This new restaurant in West Dearborn serves up high-quality burgers in a soothing garden-like setting. They advertise organic grass-fed beef on all their menus, but the only way you get organic is if you pay $2 more for each burger. I don't like that type of misleading advertising, (especially when their burgers start at $10.) I ordered a burger (Certified Black Angus beef) with beef bacon and cheddar and was asked how I'd like it cooked... medium or medium well. I asked if they could do medium rare, but I was told no. I assume this is a cultural thing, since this is an Arabic-owned restaurant. I'm Armenian and grew up being told meat that's even slightly pink will poison me, so I assume they are stuck in the same mindset. Anyway, I ordered it medium. I made it a combo for $3 more, which garnered me some handmade fries and a drink. There is so much seating in this restaurant. It's refreshing. Obviously whoever designed it took great care on the comfort of their guests during their meal. There are floor-to-ceiling windows but it's not deathly freezing (as is usually the case with lots of windows). There are booths, bar-top tables and long tables that can seat groups. During the warm months, they have a large patio. Onto the food... First thing I noticed is they give *way* too many fries. It was about an entire pound of fries. I hate wasting food like that. When I bit into my burg, I quickly realized that my "medium" burger was definitely well-done. No sign of pink. Luckily the beef has a little bit of fat, so it was still juicy. It was seasoned perfectly. I'd forgo the bacon next time, since it's incredibly fatty (and beef fat doesn't go down easy like pork fat does). The fries were okay. They weren't very hot. The burger was good. The employees were friendly. The space is warm, inviting and well-appointed. I'd definitely go back, but skip the fries. Be prepared to open your wallet. I was amazed by the "veggie" burger especially from a place where they use a cow as a logo... Lol So, I being an vegetarian, have passed by this place several times. But never felt like checking this out assuming very less options for me. But shocked to see some very good vegetarian options. So. The kale salad was superb. It's the sweeter variety. We got the veggie burger, which was very good. I needed little bit more flavor/spice but the tobasco comes to the rescue. But burger tasted fresh and the bun was crispy and soft to the perfection. Once surfing the menu, we were sold! Organic grass fed burgers from cow and the non organic were black angus patties. So basically the menu is with black angus patties and if you want an organic patty, then it's 2$ more per burger. Their burgers were amazing and wonderful in taste. A nice monstrous burger. Another thing about this place was the quantity of fries they serve with the meal. I usually prefer a chunk of fries with my order and the quantity was to perfection The mex, the deluxe and Dante heaven are by far the best choices available. I came here between two Cinetopia film fest screenings yesterday. I had been wanting to try it ever since the Yelp Elite event (which I wasn't able to go to) and I knew that it was a short distance away from the Henry Ford, which was the screening venue. PROS: -Nice, open space. Definitely a bit of a hipster vibe (they had a garden where you can plant your own herbs, etc.) but I liked it. The motif is green so that kind of fits with that, also. -The food was DELICIOUS. I ordered the mushroom burger and my friend ordered the Dante burger (which I assume was spicy, based on the name ...). We also ordered garlic/cilantro fries which were tasty. -Random, but they have fruit-infused water by the Coke Freestyle machine, if you only ordered water. Nice touch that I usually only see at hotels or larger places. CONS: -The price. My burger was $10 and my friend's was $11, and then we got a side of the garlic + cilantro fries ($4) to share. If you want to make your meal a combo, it's $3 and you get fries (I assume) and a drink. But if you want your meat to be organic, that's another $2 or so per burger. For two people (two burgers and a side of fries to share, no drinks) it was about $26. -Slow service. We only had about 45 minutes between movies (I thought we would have 60 minutes, but oh well), so we raced to Michigan Ave. and found a spot to park. Then we waited about 15 minutes for our burgers, so by the time they came out (and the fries a bit later, like 5 minutes later) we pretty much had to eat fast and leave. I only ate a few of the fries so I'm looking forward to nuking those today or tomorrow, too, as the few I tried were very good. I'd like to come back to Brome (hopefully when I have more time and am not in a rush, ha) as the food was very good. They offer burgers,veggie burgers, chicken burger,salads,fries in different flavors and tater tots and an assortment of $5 shakes. Prices weren't bad average $7-$12 then add fries. It can add up to be a bit expensive. The wait tonight was long but again it was opening night. The food did come out a bit cold and the burger was overcooked we were also missing fries but they did fix that. Loved, loved, loved the kale salad!!! At $7 for a small, it was a good deal because there was enough to fill me up. The sweet flavor of the ingredients, with the slightly bitter edge of the kale, mixed with the amazing lemony dressing was wonderful. My husband ordered an original burger, which he was nice enough to let me sample, and it was a phenomenal burger. With McClure's pickles to boot!! That's a treat in itself. The grill may have had a cool spot, as part of his burger was rare, while the rest was medium as ordered. This place is run well, kept clean, and has a nice feel from curbside and throughout. Very impressed with the place! To start I had the kale salad. Normally I don't eat kale, I tried it one time and never wanted to eat it again but I had to try again. Love the taste and the freshness. Crisp, with dried cranberries and pine nuts, croutons and topped with parmesan cheese. I would definitely recommend it! I also had the Brome burger and Cajun fries. The fries were good, not too spicy but had enough to give it a good take and a kick. Burger was made just right...not too well done and enough pink inside to keep it juicy. They even have halal products! Place is trendy and cool looking inside. Burgers here cost a little more but you pay for the fresh and great ingredients. There was a lot of buzz going around when brome opened. Trying it for myself I was impressed. I love the decor of a fresh health food restuarant. Everything fresh and catering to a health conscious crowd. The first time I went I ordered a dante burger which was a burger with ghost pepper chillies. The meat was perfectly medium and seasoned with the tantalizing amount of kick which added to the flavor profile. Buns were hot and all the workings were very fresh. Ordered a kale shot which was great They also have a smoothie bar and healthy salad options which looked amazing too. The next time I came in after about a couple months later I slight drop in quality ordering the tex burger. But would want to order their other options. Brome was always good I've been going since it has opened. Always a Kale Crunch salad with chicken. Over the past year brome has changed. The service is awful no one is friendly, it's extremely dirty inside, the portions have got smaller (such as just the Parmesan and cranberries) I got to brome today and ordered my usual.... 45 minutes later or standing there I finally got my order I now no longer have time to eat or actually get back to work. They just handed me the bag of food. Again small portions and the dressing is now different than before. Really just disappointed because this place was my favorite spot to go when I'm in the office. Definitely worth trying! More than anything, Brome is a reputable company because it embraces Dearborn. It is a business that aims to contribute to the community, which is awesome. A small example of this is when the owner comments on Yelp reviews and assures that customers are being heard- that is always a plus and should be commented. Brome is always packed, and I think the mentality behind the idea of it is a big part of that. Business done right. I also appreciate all of the choices available at Brome. Offering gluten free options, Impossible burgers, organic meat, and interesting toppings shows care for customers. That fresh element is rare and good to see. Organic meat and these fresh selections are going to be more expensive, but I still have trouble paying so much when I have dined here. It has to be an amazing burger for that price, and to me the flavors are only so-so, a little better than an average burger The garlic fries are waaaay too garlic-y for me (huge chunks with 1/3 garlic, 2/3 fries), but if you like garlic a lot then don't miss them. I can see why Brome is given so many positive ratings! We had the Chimmi Chicken sub which was fantastic with amazing grilled chicken and tasty fixings. Also had the Wild Mushroom burger which was equally delicious with flavorful freshly ground meat and great fixings. A huge thank you goes to Jawad who gave us exceptional service and really worked hard around the restaurant. Since this was our first time here he suggested sauces for our sweet potato puffs which were fantastic (Brome house sauce and sweet jalapeno sauce). A big thank you to him for allowing us to try their peanut butter shake which we highly recommend to get as it was delicious with custard! They also had malt vinegar for the thick cut fries. The Smoothie stand at the end of the store is NOT included. We had the fish and regular burgers-both very good.
