They make sure the registration is valid (I've got a few days left) and insurance is up to date. Then, cash payment is made. It has gone up a buck since last year. It costs $27. Did I mention that they take cash? No Venmo. No Apple pay. No Zelle. Leave your checkbook at home. Don't pull out your plastic. No bitcoin. It won't work here. They made sure the horn honks, although you aren't supposed to use it unless it's an emergency. All lights, blinkers and otherwise, wipers, tire treads are checked. They peeked under the hood, and I'm sure they were impressed at the compact power plant. Then, the papers were returned to me and I was on my way. Same time, next year!

They were friendly, knowledgeable, efficient--and genuinely fun to interact with, which makes a big difference when you're dealing with inspections. They clearly know their stuff and took the time to explain things without making it feel stressful. It's obvious they provide the service but don't make the rules, and I get the sense they often deal with frustrated customers who aren't prepared. Even so, they remained professional and upbeat. Hand him your paper work which is registration insurance card and the old safety. It took us 5 minutes that's it So fast we loved it. We'll be back with our other cars.
