My parents recently had to go to Joes. Not only was Joe NOT wearing a mask, as is required, he even had the nerve to try and start an argument with them because they WERE wearing masks. They would not take the bait as he made childish comments about their masks. It's just rude and selfish behavior. No Aloha at Joe's. I've been going to Joe's to get my safety check for years now. It's great because I don't have to go to town since he's in Kula and there's never a very long line. He's friendly and professional and the vibe that his garage is just really nice. Lets say that you don't need to get off the car and you get full service on refilling the car for you. The gentleman was really nice and had a great positive attitude and warm welcome smile. He was nice to talk to and gave some great advice on how to drive the slopes down the sightseeing adventure. The service was quick, we got in and got out. This location was nearby to the volcano which i found very convenient for the location. I highly suggest you to come here for last minute gas if you need it before hitting up the 26 miles to the top of the sight seeing. Or you can just come here to get gas after hitting up the 26 miles. This is only 2 miles away from where the road is to the sightseeing. Overall the vibe gave me a feeling of a old vintage abandoned gas station. I was surprise how wonderful experience i got from here at the end. i found it easy to find, quick, and great helpful service! Thanks for reading and lets explore Maui! Long story short, ran out of gas at the top of the mountain...coasted down in neutral and located this little gem of a gas station. "Full-Service" station, they even pump your gas! The nicest people we've met on the island. We've actually stayed and socialized, they showed us around their property and shop. The guys talked car's and us ladies checked out her beautiful garden. Stopped here for gas and ended up staying about 15 minutes talking to Joe... fabulous service here and Joe is very helpful with directions, maps and even recommending hiking trails etc. Definitely an old style feel instead of the usual faceless gas station service :-) Loved it and will be back to fill up next time we are in Maui!!! :-) read more
