Finally. Authentic, New York style pizza in Stamford, Connecticut! As a native New Yorker, I have searched up and down for NY style pizza and I finally found it! Good crust, flavorful sauce--yes, real pizza! I thought I was back on Allerton Avenue in the North Bronx. I'm really looking forward to having their other menu items--but I know that when I want authentic cheese pizza -- I'll come to Bronx House! Best NY slice in Stamford. I like Amore for eating in, but the wood fired crust doesnt travel well and IMHO must be eaten right after it comes out of the oven. The slices at Bronx house are larger and it's the kind of crust you can fold and it won't break - but still light and not too doughy. Loved the white pizza and meatball rolls (with caramelized onion). They aren't on the menu but they had them at the counter for $2.50/each. Really love the fact they have slices. Will definitely be making it my takeout NY style- pizza place go-to. I still love the salad pizza at Riko's but it's a completely different kind of pizza interpretation. (Actually, eats more like a taco.) Bronx House is better to feed a group. read more

Right around the corner from where I live, so the location is great. I ordered a small pizza with pepperoni, bacon and green peppers, but was delivered a large and charged $23.00. The pizza was good enough, and the gentleman on the phone was pleasant, as was the delivery guy, I was just disappointed in that it wasn't the size I ordered. I'll eventually try some sandwiches and other items, and will update this review, if necessary. **UPDATE on 5/17/2017** I added a star for two reasons, mainly because I really like the Springdale Salad and the Bronx House pizza, and usually order both, albeit just a slice of the latter. Sometimes walk around the corner, and others I have them walk around the corner to deliver. The other reason I added a star is because the owner replied and offered to "make up for it" for the size mix-up on my first order. It seems that this establishment is a bit over ambitious when it comes to their delivery service. We called while having a few brews nearby at Lock City Brewery and ordered 2 pies. They told us that it's on the way and will be there right away. First thought that came to my mind was ... "don't you have to cook it first"? Clearly they forgot about that step. I don't mind relinquishing my funds on a few beers but I shouldn't be able to casually drink 5 beers while waiting for pizza to arrive. This pizza took about an hour to arrive and after realizing how dry the pizza was (Imagine eating Popeyes biscuits with no gravy, and no drink to wash it down) I was very tempted to place a separate order for marina sauce. Fantastic pizza/wings/takeout close to home! Best Pizza in Stamford from the guys who own Amore on Hope St. and ReNapoli in Old Greenwich. Wish they would bring the Italian Beef here but alas... the food was great. Could be a little wait because its so new and right next to the hockey rinks. Bronx House Pizza was a disappointment. I had a large hot sausage and sweet pepper pizza. The toppings were generous and the sausage was spicy hot without being overpowering. I probably should have gone with the cherry peppers as the sweet peppers didn't add anything, but I didn't want too much heat. Crust was acceptable, but not 'wow!' It was crispy, but pretty much bland, serving as a delivery system for the sauce and toppings ... here is where things went south ... the sauce was oddly sweet, almost as if sugar was added to it. I was excited to try this place being new to the area and having grown up in the Bronx. I've gone twice now, and both times the pizza underwhelmed. Always tastes a bit too salty to me. As a whole the slices are never bad, they're just not very good either. If I could give this place negative stars I would. We put in an order for pickup and it was supposedly going to be ready at 9pm. We get there at 9 and they say someone didn't put the order in so they asked us to wait another 20 minutes. After 20 minutes we pick up our order, drive home, open the pizza box and it's the completely wrong order. I called them (it is 9:35 at this point) and told them they gave us the wrong order and they said they would deliver a new pizza to our apartment. An HOUR later I call to get an update and they said it was on the way. It is currently 11:15pm and they still have not shown up and I'm pretty sure they are not going to show up. This is by far the worst experience I've had and if you read other people's reviews you'll see they have had similar experiences. Horrible, horrible business, they really need to reevaluate how they operate. read more

Pleasantly surprised by our first experience. Heart-shaped pizza (plain cheese) was quite good and not greasy like some other places. Crust just the right texture - a bit crunchy without being burnt and dried out. Good chew - not tough like some places. Ordered online so it was easy to specify normal crust (vs. thin) and Light Cooked (vs. Well Done). Eggplant Rollatini with Ziti was very tasty but a bit oily. Okay, not great. This is the closest to NYC pizza you will get in CT. The chicken parm pizza is my favorite with extra sauce on top. I've had the Bronx house pizza as well and usually my family devours it in 20 minutes. We also tried their heroes... Chicken Parmesan and eggplant, and they were absolutely fantastic because they use semolina bread with sesame seeds. The service is also very good and anytime we call they're all very friendly regardless of how busy they are. This is our go to pizza for the most part especially when we have a lot of hungry teenagers come over because the slices are giant . I recommend that you get the pie cut into 16 slices if you plan to feed teenagers so it allows everybody to try all different kinds of pieces without worrying about waste too. read more

Located next to my boyfriends place him and I have been there and their food is pretty good. I've gotten their pepperoni pizza and he has gotten their meat lovers pizza and we both enjoyed their food!!!! The place is small and reminds me of the pizza houses I used to go to when I was a kid like I would totally recommend it. This is a more of a takeout place. Seating is limited and not really comfortable. Parking was very difficult to find so it is better to have it delivered unless you are within walking distance. Surprisingly the staff was not at all friendly considering the restaurant just recently opened and there is lots of competition in the immediate area. The NY style pizza was fine but I know of other spots near downtown Stamford that are more convenient and offer similar slices so it is unlikely that I will have reason to revisit. we did takeout. it's not really a sit down place. the pizza is expensive. I did not like it. my kids did not like it. my wife thought it was ok. we debated whether it was a fail or an epic fail. why? sauce was tasteless. cheese was tasteless. it tasted mostly of dough. the crust was soft and fluffy but not tasty at all. the mushrooms came out of a can. it's pricier than dominoes and I would take that any day instead. so sorry guys ....maybe somebody else will enjoy it. read more

Pizza was decent, but not worth the price. Pizza was thin crust, which I like, but very light on the cheese...for $15, it should have been better. We also had a chicken parmigiana, which had a small portion of chicken. My BIGGEST complaint is their TV. Place was already loud with a few kids and they started getting busy with their dinner rush. But they had their TV tuned to ESPN, in the corner and super loud. One family actually moved to another booth, and another came in and got up and left. For the latter, not sure if the TV was the issue. I'm sure the TV is a nice to have between lunch, dinner and after....but when people are coming in to sit for dinner, turn it down. read more

What a let down! I have ordered from Bronx House a dozen or more times. I have raved about how GREAT the pizza is to anyone I know looking for good pizza... but the last few times the magic is gone.
