Yup, I'm guilty. I'm a city girl who's a firm believer that you can only find good pizza in the city. I have been proven wrong! We've ordered delivery twice and have not been disappointed. Delivery either came on time or way ahead of the estimated time. Their regular cheese pie was delicious and we loved their Planet Pizzaz pie, it def hit the spot. Their wings are on point. They're nice and meaty, and the hot sauce has a nice kick. We've also had the Chicken Francese and the Penne Planet (I'm having my last bit of it now), and they were both so good. I could not stop dipping my bread in the chicken francese sauce. We will definitely be ordering from here whenever the pizza/pasta/wings cravings kick in. read more

Today we ordered a Pasta Fagiolie soup and Large Pan Pizza. We go pretty simple: good ol' pepperoni. The soup was delicious; however, the pizza was lacking. We love a pizza that has a good crunch to it. This one did not have that. The pepperoni was rubbery, tasted odd and never curled or crunched. When we picked up a slice, everything would slide off. By everything I mean cheese, pepperoni etc. You had to physically hold it with both hands to keep it from sliding off and to avoid your only bite to be tomato sauce bread. I'm a New Haven Girl.. Born and Raised.. of course I grew up on Sally's and Modern Pizza Pizza.. but Planet Pizza in their new location (Stop and Shop plaza) is very good.. I bought a very generous small with 3 delicious toppings.. I went to place the order before going across the parking lot to pick up a few items before the Armageddon Snow Storm on 2/25..my generous small pizza was fresh and delicious.. the staff were SO Super Friendly and sincere.. I heard about this place for a long time and really want to give it a try. The staff are very friendly. I ordered a shrimp parm sub. It took longer than I expected. The shrimp parm is not bad. They do give you a lot of shrimps. I also like that fact that they don't make it too salty. This is surely a good place for a quick bite. read more

The worst. Call me stupid for continuing to give them a chance. Every time I order from them there is something missing. Every time.... I order from work so based on their exorbitant prices and delivery fee it is a pricey order. Today's order was 4 salads for $80. Every time they forget my salad dressing. Since it is at work, I either go hungry or eat a dry salad. Today I gave them my last chance. One of my coworkers checked before letting him go and saw the 3 dressings. Not realizing mine was wrong. I asked for balsamic dressing and was given blue cheese. Well I guess it is better than usual. Instead if no dressing I got something. He asks for receipt and he know he never handed it to me haha it only took a minute to realize it had blue cheese. My last order from Planet Pizza was so-so but I decided to try again. I'm so glad I did! Maybe it's because it was a Saturday night - must have had their top chefs working. I ordered a vegetarian calzone - as usual. The calzone was huge - they supersized it - twice as large & packed with veggies. It disappeared quickly as did a Margarita pizza I ordered. The pizza was an odd but very delicious New York version of the thin crust one. The pizza chef thinned the crust a bit - just enough to make it super crunchy! The pizza sauce was also perfect - went very well with the fresh garlic & basil. It was unusually good, and I've been ordering from this planet pizza branch for a long time. This experience was different due to the coronavirus pandemic (it's June so things are better but still not completely back to normal). I used contactless delivery due to Covid. I had a linguine with clam red sauce and a philly cheesesteak sandwich. The pasta wasn't the best. It was hot but the sauce was not very tasty. The clams are bits and pieces. Basically not a very good dish. The Philly was ok. It was a bit on the greasy side. The amount of meat was ok. The bread was crispy. Just not the best for the price on that pasta. read more

When I first started working in the Greenwich area, before I moved here, Planet Pizza was just a grab and go slice place after a night of partying for me. I lived in New York so I had a ton of great pizza at hand. But, over the years, the have consistently upped the quality of their food and it is now one of my/our favorite places. We get a specialty vegetable pie with eggplant, roasted peppers, sundried tomatoes, red onion and spinach that is among the best...anywhere. Also, high marks to their Eggplant Parm (meal and sub), and Calzones. Their app is easy to use, delivery is fast and on time and in person, they are always polite and courteous. Ordered chicken scarpariello pizza, shrimp scampi and chicken bruschetta, everything was delicious! This was my first time ordering take out with Planet Pizza, would definitely order from there again. A tiny bit pricey would be my only complaint, but the food was pretty good :) Well I returned today for some takeout, disappointed. Ordered a chicken roll to go and a pasta fagioli soup. Soup was a clear watery broth with beans and no flavor. The chicken roll had a random soggy ziti pasta in it so it makes me wonder if they recycle leftovers or unwanted orders into other items. I popped into planet pizza around 11:30am on a Sunday, so I believe I was the first customer of the day. I ordered a veggie roll, which not only included the typical broccoli and spinach, but it also had other delicious goodies such as mushrooms and peppers. The roll was very light on the cheese, which I like, but I think is a big sticking point for others. While at first I was disappointed I didn't get the classic, cheesy, New York style roll to which I was accustomed, in the end I was very happy with my meal. The pizza is absolutely fantastic. The delivery is absolutely horrible. So if you have time to eat in or pick up, then I recommend the place. If you're thinking delivery, then definitely go someplace else. I never had a problem with delivery until recently. They've been taking a minimum of 45 minutes and two of the last three times they took 90 minutes, then had no record of my order and took nearly 2 hours and only offered a minimum reduction in price. Very frustrating because the pizza is great but they just don't seem to value my business at all. Avoid the mozzarella sticks, they're tasteless. This is the pizza I eat for lunch, only when its provided free. It's very very forgettable. Im not positive but the sauce is very sweet and even tastes like it may be ragu based. That being said they do provide a very pleasing amount of what seems to be pretty good mozzarella. This review might be short, but it is going to be sweet after I tell you what I know. If your looking for pizza in the Greenwich area...pizza post is the spot. Fabulous sauce, great crisp on the crust, fresh green peppers (my favorite topping) and a caring cook and manager. The first thing that always pops out to me about Planet Pizza is how nice everybody is that works there. With that being said, I absolutely love their food and I haven't had anything "bad" from there yet. This is the first pizza place I can remember going to on my own. As a middle schooler, hanging around Greenwich Ave and then ending up on Railroad Ave, Planet Pizza is a wonderful haven of greasy cheesiness.
