Tried to eat here tonight, showed up 40 (820 on a Friday when they close at 9pm) minutes before closing and the two teenage kids running it had absolutely no desire to take our order. All chairs were already up on the tables, and as we walked up to the door, the girl was heading to the door to lock it, and rolled her eyes and was visually upset that we were there. Then she said that they were unable to make a large pizza. I don't know why people invest so much to open a restaurant, then allow kids to run it. Definitely won't be back. read more

Picked up this pizza for dinner tonight as it was convenient and close by. Pizza was overpriced for what it was - it was undercooked and just basic kinda like little ceasers or hungry howies. Had to pop it in the oven for about 6 mins to cook it throughly the cheese wasn't even melted all the way and bottom of the pizza was very doughy. Drive the extra 5 mins and pay the extra 10$ for a good pizza from Anthony's. Won't be coming back here read more

This place is pretty awful. I came here specifically for a slice or 2 of pizza and the slices looked dismal at best. They looked as if they were sitting there for weeks. When I tried to order off the menu they didn't have anything. I settled on lasagne and after sitting for 30 minutes I was told they won't serve it because it was burnt, so its not fresh like the menu suggested. I was handed the menu to order something else and said I'll pass since the first 2 things I called out was told they didn't have. It was a Sunday and the sign on the door said they are now open on Sunday so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they aren't prepared for Sunday traffic. If they aren't going to offer a full menu they should pair it down. read more

Came in the try out a new place that opened up in my area only to find out that the owner was insulted that I did not fall in love with his food. The waitress asked me how I like the food, I made a couple comments otherwise the flavor of my food was ok.. There was a gentleman sitting next to me who ordered wings and said the wings here a really good, but when he got his wings he said they were not that good because he should have ordered them crispy. Since I love wings and wanted to try another item on the menu, I placed an order for crispy wings - they came out not crispy. I believe she was one of the owners who came over and said sir we will remake them for you. The waitress came over with what I thought would be a fresh order of wings crispy. No that is not what happened. She present me with the same order of wings that I was originally severed that went into the fryer with all the sauce on and they where all burnt/charred marks. As soon as I open my month to say what happened to the wings - the owner said from behind the counter "fine, if you don't like them you could get out, you haven't liked anything since you got here". I was shocked that he had the balls to treat a paying customer and not allow me have my option about his food. I never said anything about not paying for my meal. I ordered lasagna and meatballs and bread. I never said anything about the meatballs or bread. I have no idea what this guy was talking about - other than he was very insulted that I did not like his lasagna and now was having a issue because they severed me non crispy wings. This owner needs Chief Ramsey's help! read more

This is one of my first reviews that I have ever made on Yelp. I live in Los Angeles but was in Deland all week visiting family, and we ordered pizza from Bronx one night. It was the best pizza I've had in a very long time. A few nights later we ordered the family chicken parm meal and again I was blown away! It was very busy both times I was there and still the food was on time and service was excellent. It is a family owned business, and you can see they put their heart and soul into their food. Even though Los Angeles has a ton of amazing restaurants to choose from Bronx would definitely give them all a run for their money! read more

This place is only a month old and is really well decorated. I ordered a supreme pizza and cannolis. The pizza toppings were all fresh and tasted great. The sauce was a little mild, but with good flavor. The crust was perfectly cooked. I would order it again. The cannolis were fantastic. The filling was perfect. This seems like a family run business. Great Place & owner! Been going to one of Tony's many places for years ever since he opened up Tonys NY Pizza in the Kmart shopping centre in Orange city many years ago. Hated it when he sold it but glad he is back to making good ole NY style pizza! We visited Tonys a few weeks back & was not disappointed. pizza was spot on & crispy but not burnt, just how my family likes it. Garlic knots were good also. Wish they had more seating inside for hot days but on a cool day/night you van eat outside on the patio. Prices were consistent with competitors but the food is much better! Pizza is good, not NYC pizza, but about as close as you can get down here without importing City water! My biggest problem is the inaccuracies when it comes to quoting how long it would take to get a couple of pies. Ordered a large cheese and a large pepperoni on a busy Friday night... Was told 45 minutes they would be ready. I showed up in 45 minutes and was told "5 or 10 more minutes". I waited an additional 30 minutes for 2 simple pies. Please figure out how to determine the time...if it's 2 hours...I'll order 2 hours ahead...And then I'll show up in time to bring hot pizza to my family, instead of sitting a very small waiting area designed for people to eat, not wait. I'd love to give a better star rating...but this is the 3rd time that I've been duped into believing the time estimate that they give. Anthony's, Angelina's and even the new Original Anthony's by Walmart can give accurate estimates...thinking I'll just drive twice the distance to not waste time sitting and waiting in their shop. read more

Was waiting to try this place for a while. Service was quick and everyone was so nice. The food smelt sooooo good so I had high hopes. Unfortunately it wasn't meant to be. Pizza dough was very tough and chewy. Like they kneeded it for wayy too long. The garlic knots tasted as if they used garlic powder and oil. It definitely needed some salt. I had a philly cheese steak sub and a veal parmigiana sub. The bread the subs where on was DELICIOUS. But as far as the meat and sauce they honestly had no flavor. This place is absolutely terrible! If I could give 0 stars, I would. We ordered online for a curbside pickup. We initially were told 25-35 minutes. Then, that was updated to more than an hour wait. I got there at the very end of the timeframe provided and called to let them know I was there. They told me they were "warming up the pizza" and would be right out. I sat waiting for 15 minutes then tried to call. The line just kept ringing busy so I had to go inside. When I did, they gave me nothing but attitude when they should have been completely apologetic. And to top it all off, there wasn't a mask in sight so total violation of the mask mandate. Run from this place as fast as you can. Worst customer service I've ever experienced! Typical New York style pizza; however, not worth the attitude from the woman working the front counter. It started out with the feeling that my phone order was an inconvenience. Then, while picking up our order, I witnessed this same woman ordering patrons around with commands such as. "Keep the door closed. Either come in or wait outside!" ... "Make a line around the counter to keep the front clear." No 'please,' no 'thank you,' -no courtesy. She even went as far as to chastise other patrons with "well, that's not what you ordered," and "I can't help what order you walked in." A little while after exiting the restaurant I overheard another customer come out and say that after replying no to her asking if he had already placed an, she told him "good luck." There was even another family that ordered delivery pizza and had it delivered in front of Bronx to prove a point! We were so disappointed with the level of service that we ended up purchasing follow-up items and beverages from the neighboring businesses. If you're craving pizza, I strongly recommend considering an alternative venue; unless of course you want to feel guilty about eating. read more

Delicious and authentic. We ordered two different pizzas and the caprese salad. The dough on the pizza is clearly hand made in the store. The best pizza I have had since I was in Italy. Went out to the Bronx Pizza in Deland at Victoria Commons . The place is nice and clean. They greeted you as you walked in. Everyone was friendly. The menu has plenty to choose from. We ordered the Supreme pizza it was very good. The Philly steak and cheese is also very good. Everything is very well priced. Recommend this place for lunch or dinner. read more

I decided to give Bronx Pizza DeLand a try because I'd read numerous reviews from neighbors within my neighborhood giving this place the thumbs up as the newest go-to spot for a slice of pizza. I called in my order and arrived 45 minutes after it was placed. I ordered the Fresca Pizza and Garlic Knots. The small dining room was busy when I arrived and my order wasn't ready. No big deal - I wasn't in a rush. I stood along the counter and watched meals be prepared as I waited for the cook to remove my pie from the oven and slice/box it. The kitchen and dining room were clean but the pizza and knots were both disappointing!! The pizza sauce was flavorless, the chunky tomatoes tasted as though they came from a can, and shredded mozzarella was used instead of fresh (although to the place's credit - the menu didn't advertise fresh mozzarella). The crust edges were crispy but the center was soggy and uncooked. The knots were hard and included more of the flavorless sauce. I ate half a slice and one knot - the rest went to the trash. I decided to give Bronx Pizza DeLand a second try against my better judgement. This time I ordered a simple pepperoni and cheese pizza. This pizza was greasy which made the center of the crust soggy and the sauce continued to be tasteless. The only thing Italian or NY about this pizza is that the dough appeared to be homemade and is hand stretched before it's topped and placed into the oven. read more
