I ordered a Stromboli and got a modified Calzone. A stromboli and calzone are 2 different items. Mr. Roma or whom ever - please look up what a stromboli is, but you probably won't even see or respond to this review. I ordered and picked up on Aug 22 about 7:15pm. I should have opened the box, but I trusted that ya'all knew what a stromboli vs calzone was. My mistake. That is strike 2 for you. Most likely won't be back and will not recommend. Also, the cheese sticks tasted like they were frozen and from from a bag/box that I can get at any supermarket for a fraction of what is charged. I was disappointed. read more

I must say, after going to a few Pizza shops around Volusia County, Roma Pizza on Courtland in Deltona is by far the best Pizza I have had. We also got the Meatballs for the appetizer. Again the wife wanted to get Roma and I told her they have got worse and worse. I'm sorry but this guy just lies an lies watched the nasty practices they have making pizza again flys all over the place when you go in restaurant smells funky like mold and bleach. I don't eat the pizza makes me sick and my wife tonight realized after one bite gross barely any sauce grab a slice and the whole slice is just bread because it all just falls off. I've been coming to Roma for years. I've had nearly everything on the menu, and I have never left disappointed. For the last two school years, Roma has supported the Osteen Elementary Broncos PTA for spirit night, so they give back to the community. The owner Sal has always been working so hard, nearly every time I have gone in there, but greets me and makes me feel welcome, even though he is usually incredibly busy. One day a few months ago, for the first time that I have ever seen, Sal was sitting in the dining room. When I walked in to pick up dinner, he told me that he had been there since 7am, putting together a huge catering order. That was the first time I had ever seen him rest. On two subsequent consecutive visits, he wasn't there. I thought it was great that he finally took a day or two off, but I missed seeing him! Tonight, I went in for a sit down meal. I ordered the special, Lobster Ravioli. Oh dear Lord, it was absolutely perfect! My wife went with her old reliable stuffed shells. While we were finishing up, it appeared that things had died down a little, and Sal came out to the table. He told us all about the best places to eat in Italy, all the best places in Maryland, and spoke about his beautiful family. I think it is true, that the best food is made with love, and Sal puts everything that he has into his craft! He is an incredibly sweet man, and an amazing chef. The ambience was nice, the only annoying part was that we sat close to the entrance near the door bell (it would announce "front door" or "back door" the whole time). I've lived in Deltona for almost a year and a half and FINALLY got around to visiting. I've heard people raving about Roma Pizza, so I felt I'd be immediately disappointed due to having high expectations. Well, I was not disappointed! While this review is solely based on a 1st time experience and only ordering a x-large cheese pizza for about $19. I definitely want to try other food before coming to a final verdict. Not bad, not great, but it's good. This is coming from an NYC pizza snob. Being raised in the Bronx, we love our plain thin crust, extra-crispy plain or pepperoni slices, and I must say that Roma's slice is respectable in this old school Bronx boys' opinion. The thing I have to say is while their slices are good, I just kept having this feeling that it was missing a little something. Not anything huge but maybe one simple ingredient. I just cannot out my finger on it. I also found it interesting that they only serve medium (14inch) and x-large (18inch) pies. I found it more interesting about how extensive their menu was. I saw wings, subs, specialty pizzas, a Sicilian, Cannoli's, Italian ices, pasta dishes, etc. The Pizzaria is pretty large and has enough space for indoor seating although take-out is their main thing. I vote Roma's as the best pizza in Deltona with the potential to be a go-to spot! read more

I think it's about the past year.I found Roma and they made us a Sicilian pie like I had it up in New York. I got a whole pie and it was great nice crispy crust and a month or so later I got another pie. It was great as well. then I heard something about the place was sold with new owners. The next Sicilian, pie, I got the crust was like rubber. Even reheated it was impossible to chew. I mentioned it the next time I ordered one I gave them another chance and it was worse. No more crispy crust it is rubber. The search is on for another good Sicilian pie somewhere. read more

My bill was almost $20 more than what it was supposed to be.When I confronted the owner, he said I was at the wrong website even though I verified everything's correct he said that's not my website I said well is your name your telephone number your address? How is the consumer supposed to know that this is not a good website, he asked what he can do. I asked him to refund me my money the difference he said absolutely not. Instead of three $18.95 pizza I got $27 pizza and $19 pizza and a $20 pizza +2 dollars for sauce three dollars per sauce and a 4% credit card. I am sorry but this is NOT RIGHT! Authentic NY style pizza. Best in Deltona. And they have many variety of pizza even the good old square Sicilian pizza. They have pizza by the slice and a special with two slices and a drink. They are open 6 days a week but closed on Mondays. There are very few restaurants in Deltona but at least we have a good pizzaria in Deltona. read more

Unreal that this little hole in the wall spot is so flipping amazing!!! Grandmas Sicilian pizza was seriously the yummiest pizza I've had in like 15 years. I wish the menu was online BUT then again, people might find out about this gem and ruin it. The lady taking my order was great and hot everything correctly first time around. My children had cheese pizza and the taste was so classic New York style from back in the day. We also had a veggie and meat pizza and it was outstanding as well.
