    Lemon Drop

I celebrated my birthday at the Sunday Gospel Brunch. It was such an amazing time! From the music to the food to the little birthday surprises. The whole experience felt special. One MINOR complaint in #3. Here's how it all came together: 1. Atmosphere The vibe was lively and welcoming. There was a stage set up for performances and had more room than I expected. I remembered when the space used to be a bar and felt narrow, so seeing it now with a wide front and back was a pleasant surprise. The gospel music really set the tone. It was refreshing to hear uplifting songs instead of the typical party playlist you usually find at brunch spots. It made the whole experience feel unique and positive. 2. Cleanliness The restaurant felt clean and comfortable, which added to the overall enjoyment. The open setup made everything feel bright and inviting, and the stage was ready for a VIP section or for performances. 3. Food I ordered the fish and grits. The portion was smaller than I'm used to. It was just one split catfish filet instead of two like I'm used to. The flavor was there. The fish was fried hard, just as I requested, and the cream sauce over the grits was delicious. I'm not going to hold you! I was a little disappointed not having enough to take leftovers home for my late rising husband. That's usually the exchange for me hanging out without him! Lol! But, what I had was definitely delicious. They had a lemon drop martini special. The lemon drop was a little bitter compared to what I'm used to, making the sugar rim necessary to balance it out 4. Service The staff were so kind and attentive throughout. My waitress even took several photos of us to capture the moment, which was thoughtful. On top of that, the owner gave me a free birthday shot.. Overall, the service felt personal and celebratory. 5. Pricing For a specialty brunch experience with gospel music and a fun vibe, the pricing felt fair. While portions could be a bit larger, the quality of the food, service and the overall atmosphere made for a great birthday celebration To answer your question: Of course, I'll be back! Check them out!

I alert that I have a food allergy and the server tells me it's fine. So I sit and wait and I don't find out that the server was wrong until they bring out everyone else's food so that was lame. So I change my order and ask for some chicken tenders and look at the "two" chicken tenders I ordered. What a joke. And then the bill comes--one & a half chicken tenders + 1 plain lemonade came out to almost $15 because of "tax and automatic gratuity" which just doesn't make any sense. They doubled the bill. On top of that, they brought out the food at random times so two people are eating while the other two don't have food yet. It was just terrible all around. Plus the music was too loud--it's a restaurant not a club lol. But yeah, I don't recommend and I will not be coming here again. Really disappointing.

I live in the area and try to frequent local restaurants. We were early (they opened at 11) and it was a beautiful day, so we sat outside to wait. As staff were arriving, we were greeted and informed that they will be opening soon. Everyone spoke and was pleasant. One man even took time to provide us with a menu. Once we were seated inside we sat in the restaurant area. It was a Sunday, and they have gospel brunch. The atmosphere was wonderful! The service was excellent and the food was delicious! We highly recommend having the Hennessy Lemon Drop! We were also greeted by the owner while there. Very pleasant and welcoming. If you are near stop by! Great place for even just a quick drink!

Awesome food, service as well as atmosphere!!! Received my food in a timely matter!!! Definitely will visit again soon!!!

Good food in a relaxing environment and friendly service. Pork chop sandwich was one of the best we've had.

Chicken shawarma and hummus are great. Atmosphere is schizophrenic. Part middle eastern restaurant…read morewith a neighborhood dive bar in the middle. Service was great tho. Just a weird vibe. And a lot of hooka smoke.

Casablanca Brady Street has been a staple for my girlfriends and I for years even before the patio…read morewas built. We've always loved the happy hour, hookah, and food. We've enjoyed "sip and paints" here, New Year's Eve, when they offered brunch with crepes, and frequented when they had their vegetarian lunch buffet. Unfortunately, things have changed. 1. Atmosphere The décor hasn't changed. Still sleek, dimly lit, and romantic. The bathroom water wasn't working, and staff seemed aware of it when we mentioned it. How is that sanitary or up to code? Several of the chairs brought to our table were also broken, with bent legs a clear safety issue. It's typically packed on a Saturday like a dance club but it was nearly empty on a Saturday night which may be a reflection of our experience. 2. Service Our waitress was kind and attentive despite handling a large group, but the busboy was unprofessional. He started clearing plates while people were still eating and even asked my husband to reach across the table to hand over other guests' dishes. It made us feel rushed, even though the place wasn't busy. 3. Food My chicken shawarma was greasy, hard, sour, and unseasoned, almost as if the meat had gone bad. The potato balls were cut open which I've never seen and underwhelming. My husband and son's wings were over fried and tough, the spinach artichoke dip was clumpy and poorly blended, and others said the lamb chops were "okay." Honestly, the best thing I ate that night was the pita bread. 4. Overall Experience This used to be our go to for birthdays, Brady Street drag show viewing, and happy hour, but it's gone downhill. Between the sanitation issues, broken furniture, food quality, and rushed service, it no longer feels like "our spot". SO TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION.... This was hard to write because I have so many great memories here and I wanted the experience to be better. Sadly, I won't be returning.

One of my favorite places to catch hookah and a tasty dish in Milwaukee area…read more It's tucked away quite snug right off the interstate, resting nicely between the bustling stop and go automobiles at the intersection of Howard and 76th. If you don't look, you might miss Arabian Nights Hookah Lounge. Especially during the daytime. But at night, they have neon lights that draw you in like a bug to a zapper under summer's stars. If you are drawn in, you won't be let down. Let's get something straight here -- this is a Hookah Bar. There isn't alcohol and there doesn't need to be. If you want to go somewhere for that, try using your Yelp app for "bars" with the little martini glass next to it. The interior of the place is much like a hookah bar in Cairo -- it's dimly light with a great ventilation system. There's an actual bar counter you can sit at and smoke. Ample amount of tables for seating and some rooms with couches and televisions if you'd like. For the TV's, they have Netflix, Spotify, Hulu and all the fixings like you're right at home. For the hookah, it's pretty unique if you want it to be. For the bowl (where the tobacco goes), you can get a hollowed out fruit -- apple, pineapple, watermelon, lemon and so on. Trust me, this makes it taste so much better. For tobacco, they have Starbuzz, Al-Fahker, Fumari and more (which are the traditional suppliers). You can mix flavors together if you wish. The smoke is smooth and quite flavorful, which creates the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing night with friends. For food, I've had the shawarma wrap before and their smoothie. It's good! The Turkish coffee is really good as well, and you can get it without sugar if that's your thing. It's really caffeinated and quite good. I'd recommend trying some coffee which sips great in between puffs of hookah.
