I am absolutely obsessed with Cafe India and cannot wait to go back!! Everything here is amazing and you cannot go wrong with anything. The naan is delicious and everything is seasoned well. I do wish I asked for some things to be a little spicier, but I was scared! The food also came out super fast. It's really nice inside so definitely eat in if you're able to!

It's definitely one of the two or three South Indian stops in Milwaukee. Curries are excellent, Tandoori items are excellent. Upscale atmosphere is nice. To the management: Get rid of these ridiculous "Social Distancing" stickers on the floor. They are an insult to people of intelligence.

We stopped here for lunch today. We have been here several times before. As always the food is always delicious! I had the butter chicken, which is in a tomato sauce with delicious Indian spices. My friend had the Malabar which was chicken with coconut milk, milk, and other curry and spices. Amazing!! The service is always amazing and they have brand new ambience with new decor. New chairs, new tables new paint it looked absolutely beautiful very vibrant colors!!

Stopped nearby for drinks and decided to come in for dinner and so glad we did. We were sat quicky in a loving dining room. A server was over quickly to see if we had questions which we did as we aren't really familiar with Indian food so we got recommendations for a starter and two entrees. All of it was delicious. We'll definitely be back!

The service is always top notch And the flavor is outstanding Everyone helps out. I have never had a bad experience here. We love Sandy, he is always so knowledgeable. Melinda is always being proactive. Alka made us a special lentil soup with garlic turmeric and ginger! Bijaya has always the best conversations! Beljit is always smiling when he brings the food out!

Service - awesome Atmosphere - hopping music, clean interior Food - quite yummy Assorted Naan Basket $10 All the naan was good, and the basket was huge! I can't say this was the best naan I've had, since I've had some really fresh, really good naan... but these were good. Small side salad $5 It's not a spring mix, but cuts of cucumbers, carrots, onions sprinkled with a light dressing atop a light bed of shredded lettuce. Ok to share a small among 3 gals. Not exactly sure why, but the salad came out last, after all our food was out and we were 1/3 way into the meal. I'm not sure whether they forgot or just ran out of an ingredient... Channa Masala $13 Garbanzo beans curry - good Tikka Masala $15 Chicken curry - good, but chicken was dry. The 2 curries came with a bowl of rice (I think each comes with a bowl, but we got one - probably a bigger bowl than if it was for 1 serving). It wasn't a heaping serving, but enough to share among 3 people. Overall, all the food was good. Not overwhelmingly good, or the best I've had.. but good. Would I come again? Of course.

Being away from my family from Diwali meant I had to get my Indian food fix from Cafe India, which was the right move. We got a takeout order of the veg appetizer platter, the gobi Manchurian app, and an order of malai kofta that came with a side of rice. Our food was ready by the time we got there. The restaurant was decorated for Diwali which was a beautiful touch. The staff was so nice and even threw in some traditional sweets for Diwali. The food is always great here and I have never been disappointed. The samosas were big and the dough was thick and both crispy and chewy. They didn't skimp on the filling, which was also very good. Other things in the appetizer platter included onion pakoras and aloo tikki served with an imli (tamarind) and a green chutney. Everything took me back home! We got both the gobi manchurian and the malai kofta at a medium spice level, which was appropriately spiced for our palates. The gobi comes with large chunks of onions and green bell peppers. While not authentic, it's one of my favorite dishes from Indian restaurants and cafe India does it right. The malai kofta is also one of the best in the city. The koftas are soft and the gravy is so creamy and rich, it'll have you licking your fingers clean!

FAMILY OWNED | HIGHLY RECOMMEND This place is so amazing and got the best food in Milwaukee area and I would also say Chicagoland. Great ambiance, fast service. Servers are very friendly and talk to you with a smile. Majority of the items we tried were authentic. I liked how they had a rose and a balloon on each table for the Mother's Day. We ate lot of items Samosa chaat, gobhi Manchurian, Amritsari kulcha, palak paneer, chicken tikka masala, malai kofta, rasmalai, gulab jamun, paneer haryali. Everything was really good.

Overall I thought the food was good! I really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant! The servers were super friendly and quick. I really liked the butter naan and tandoor chicken, and appreciated them making it spicy for my liking! The chicken tikka masala was okay but I'm definitely eager to try the other dishes as well!

First time trying Cafe India and omg not sure why I haven't tried it sooner! Stopped in with a couple friends got seated right away we ordered the non-veg platter and Bowl puri chat, the fish and chicken were paired nicely with the dipping sauces. And the crunchy puffed rice was so refreshing with all the vegetables. My friends and I all ordered curry. I ordered the chicken tikka masala in medium and it was not spicy at all really delicious and tomatoey flavor. My friends ordered the vindaloo curry and the Malabar curry and both were spicy but delicious. The Naan assortment basket came with the garlic naan, plain naan, and the onion one. They were all so good I couldn't pick a favorite. Servers were nice and knowledgeable definitely recommend it's my new favorite Indian place. I will definitely be coming back to try some Tandoori next.

This is my new favorite place. I will be going to this place any time I'm in Milwaukee area. they do catering, so I am planning to have them for my upcoming events. Hospitality's is amazing Seating is very spacious. Servers are very friendly and nice and knowledgeable I food is marvelous. finger, licking good, and they will modify the dishes as you want. They can also make some of the non veg dishes as vegetarian using the similar gravy. my throat was a little scratchy that day, so I asked for masala chai and server made it herself for me. Bijaya is amazing. They have separate area for Uber eats, GrubHub and DoorDash so the delivery guys are not in between or standing close to the guests tables. I was so much into food, that i missed taking photos.

We've enjoyed "sip and paints" here, New Year's Eve, when they offered brunch with crepes, and frequented when they had their vegetarian lunch buffet. Unfortunately, things have changed. 1. Atmosphere The décor hasn't changed. Still sleek, dimly lit, and romantic. The bathroom water wasn't working, and staff seemed aware of it when we mentioned it. How is that sanitary or up to code? Several of the chairs brought to our table were also broken, with bent legs a clear safety issue. It's typically packed on a Saturday like a dance club but it was nearly empty on a Saturday night which may be a reflection of our experience. 2. Service Our waitress was kind and attentive despite handling a large group, but the busboy was unprofessional. He started clearing plates while people were still eating and even asked my husband to reach across the table to hand over other guests' dishes. It made us feel rushed, even though the place wasn't busy. 3. Food My chicken shawarma was greasy, hard, sour, and unseasoned, almost as if the meat had gone bad. The potato balls were cut open which I've never seen and underwhelming. My husband and son's wings were over fried and tough, the spinach artichoke dip was clumpy and poorly blended, and others said the lamb chops were "okay." Honestly, the best thing I ate that night was the pita bread. 4. Overall Experience This used to be our go to for birthdays, Brady Street drag show viewing, and happy hour, but it's gone downhill. Between the sanitation issues, broken furniture, food quality, and rushed service, it no longer feels like "our spot". SO TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION.... This was hard to write because I have so many great memories here and I wanted the experience to be better. Sadly, I won't be returning.
