Horrible. Over $400 for the same services I've literally paid $175 the past 3 years. Routine 15 minute exam and shots....a lot of similar complaints lately and no excuse to jack up prices without notifying loyal customers prior. Don't just take my word for it. See for yourself with the attached bills. Never again

I brought three of my cats to this vet and my girlfriend took our 1 year old pitbull. I cannot stress enough how greedy and money hungry this sketchy organization is. Our poor pitbull went in for allergy medicine that only made her rashes start to blister and bleed. They then wanted a 400$ fee to change her meds without even letting us bring her in first and assure she was healthy. Besides that nightmare with our precious puppy, they then seemed to charge us 190$ for each wellness check on our felines which is absolutely outrages. Everything about these experiences has upset our family and we will never be using this gold digging animal abusing center ever again.

I'm very unhappy with Brook Farms. My dog was there less than a year ago, and they refused to renew his prescription without running a blood test that amounted to $96.23. I've never heard of a blood test costing that much, especially since a Comprehensive Metabolic Panel for a person is about $29.00. My dog had a "mini screen", whatever that may be. There's no transparency in their pricing. We asked several times for them to reconsider the blood test, and they refused and said they wouldn't renew his prescription. I'm still not sure what the screening is testing for.

I walked in for the first time for my dog's appointment and all they needed to do was roll out the red carpet because the welcoming treatment here was on another level. I walked in, there weren't any people in the reception area and instantly one of the vet techs knew exactly who I had with me and was ready to show me to one of the exam rooms. I was like, is my dog secretly famous!??? Pup got a little puparazzi moment **eeeeeeeek**. Yes, here at PatterPaws they take their lil profile pic! Dr Proto was so down to earth and both him and the vet tech made my dog feel at ease. All dogs shake and get nervous when going to the vet (I feel like us humans do the same IRL with doctors we just shake inside HA!) but they totally made him be less stressed out than he should be. Also, they weren't scared to approach him (a little 7lb guy) they just confidently went in with calm and I've never seen my dog this chill at the vet before, almost zero yapping. Ok fine, maybe at the end he barked at another dog haha but he did pretty great! He got his **seamless** rabies shot and didn't even feel it or let out a little yelp like he usually does. Again, amazing Dr and vet tech. Pretty awesome tip: Dr Proto's wife, Dr Will, does a mix of western and eastern medicine and provides acupuncture to dogs, cats and horses. You can really tell the energy of this place by the workers and how they're happy to be there with the animal and to really take care of yours, no matter the size. Ok also, can we talk about the cookie bar (for doggies) with the different sizes of treats? OBSESSED. Thanks PatterPaws for your kindness, attention to detail, and wonderful staff! Dr. Covitz immediately calmed my very terrified little imp, a feat which had never been accomplished by multiple veterinarians. She had a UTI , and despite the distance, she and her brother, Wesley, (shout out to the staff [Kelly] that had to wrangle his 18lbs of terror)...had a new doctor. Dr. Covitz is a brilliant anesthesiologist, an extremely skilled surgeon, and truly empathetic medical professional. He got both of them through multiple surgeries, in spite of their ages, without negative side affects. Both were in good health after their surgeries and healed well each time. When the time came, he helped me prepare when I had to, say goodbye to them. He has always patiently and respectfully helped me through very emotional reactions, I cry at everything. When I was ready to take in a new rescue, he helped me find a beautiful little family, with a mama and her three kittens. My kittens are now 11.5 years old, and I just received the horrible news my Sawyer has Lymphoma. Jack was there for me yet again, and has helped me to set a protocol for Sawyer's care. Taking his advise we will keep him as comfortable as possible, and let Sawyer guide the depth of intervention. I will NEVER EVER EVER forget the many kindnesses, patience, and generosity of both he and his staff. I am filled with gratitude for having met Dr. Jack Covitz that fateful fall day in 2000. When I brought in my dogs for their vaccinations, they completely missed the date of one of my dogs rabies vaccination and he ended up being unvaccinated for months. When I called them about this, the person who answered the phone didn't apologize and was very flippant about it. I had to advocate for an apology, and it was only at that point that they offered to comp the cost of the appointment. Then this month, one of my dog's was sick, and I had to wait three days for an appointment b/c they had only had one vet on staff. We finally got bloodwork done and I was told we'd hear back from the doctor the next day. I called at 4pm the next day as I hadn't heard anything (mind you, my dog still is sick), and they weren't able to tell me anything. I then had to call back again at 11am the following day, and a diagnosis of diabetes was delivered over the phone by a receptionist - with no empathy, no explanation, no walking me through a care plan, or what to expect, etc. They then told me I had to go to ANOTHER vet down the road to learn how to administer insulin. It was horrendous, and to this day, no one has called to follow up to see how he's even doing or what the status is. All that to say, we're now happy customers down the road at Noah's Ark Animal Hospital. They are kind, professional, knowledgeable, caring, and generous. I recommend them as an alternative to this place.

MONEY GRAB. After five years as a loyal client, I can confidently say this practice is far more…read morefocused on profit than pet care. In my experience, Dr. Jankunus consistently prioritizes revenue over reasonable care decisions. Nearly every interaction feels like a push for additional labs, tests, or medications whether they are truly necessary or not. The final straw was when I tried to fill a 6-month prescription for my dog's medication using a 50% coupon. Despite having five years of records showing I never miss visits and routinely approve the most comprehensive labs they recommend, they refused to authorize more than a 3-month supply unless I brought my dog in for yet another round of bloodwork. This is despite the fact that my dog already receives bloodwork twice a year. At that point it was hard not to feel like the goal was simply to generate another bill rather than provide thoughtful care. Long-time clients should not feel like they're being treated as a revenue source instead of a pet owner seeking care. They also make filling prescriptions elsewhere unnecessarily difficult, which again gives the impression that the priority is keeping revenue in-house rather than helping pet owners find affordable options. The biggest red flag should have been when the entire staff left all at once. Looking back, that should have been my cue to leave as well. When Dr. Knapp and Kim were there, I felt like there was honesty and genuine care guiding decisions. Unfortunately, I have not experienced that same level of transparency or trust with Dr. Jankunus, and the practice no longer resembles the place it once was. Prices here are noticeably higher than other veterinarians in the area, yet the level of service has declined. After five years of loyalty, I will be taking my dog elsewhere and will not be giving this practice another dollar. Pet owners in the area should seriously consider other veterinary options before trusting this practice to with their animals.

The doctors have given my fur babies the best health care I could ever ask for. While being very thorough in their care and treatment, they don't perform unnecessary tests or treatments. In fact, one of my dogs used to look for Dr Scaperotti every time we would go to MAH. Dr Scaperotti, aka Dr Vic, is my babies primary care doctor. He not only gives my babies excellent health care, but knowing my money is tight, finds the best way to make their treatment affordable. I have also found Dr Scaperotti to be very knowledgeable in his treatments. One time I brought one of my babies in for, what I thought, was a minor problem. Dr Scaperotti was quick to see it was much worse than appeared. He saw that my baby had a very serious condition in her uterus that required emergency surgery. Had he not caught this in time, she could have died. But he did, and she is alive and well. I wish my doctors treated me as well as Dr Scaperotti treats my babies. The technicians are also awesome. They give my dogs loving care and help to make them as comfortable as possible while at MAH. Carmen and Katey were especially favorites among my boys. The office workers are great ladies.
