I have to be honest. I have meager expectations when it comes to assisted living situations. I…read morethink that we have all heard horror stories about these places before. NOT THE TERRACES OF ROSEVILLE. This location is beautiful, the staff is caring, and I have never heard anything short of loving, caring comments from the team. Don't get me wrong, a couple of staff members are aloof, but most do not have regular contact with those currently housed here. My GG is 102 and has been here for years. I firmly believe that the assistance of the Terraces Team, up to and including their stringent rules on COVID-19 visitations, made this a very safe place for all elderly loved ones. I can only hope that when I am old and gray, I will have a group of people who love their job and the people they work with so much that I am taken care of like this.

Everyone from management,…read moreto the dining staff, and even the shuttle driver have all been extremely welcoming and have made this transition easy for us. My grandpa loves the food, and there is always activities and social events happening. Everything from monthly road-trips to special music guests. They really put forth the effort to make things fun for the residents. We toured other homes, but The Terraces stood out to us because of their clear communication and transparency. They have gone above and beyond for my grandpa since day one, they even sent someone out to West Sacramento to meet with him when he was in the hospital for physical rehab. It was very stressful looking for a new home for him, but we are very happy we chose The Terraces for this new chapter of his life. They encourage him to be independent, but are still right there in case he needs assistance. Couldn't ask for more!

Our experience with Citrus Heights Terrace has significantly declined since Veronica took over in…read moremanagement. The facility, once a welcoming and well-run community, has suffered from poor leadership, lack of transparency, and a noticeable decline in professionalism. Veronica consistently fails to communicate important information with families, often keeping crucial details hidden or changing policies in a way that confuses memory care residents. Her lack of social awareness and engagement is evident--she appears nervous and uncomfortable when speaking, avoids direct interactions by staying in her office, and does not take the time to truly know residents or their families. Rather than taking responsibility for the facility's issues, she deflects blame onto others and delegates her responsibilities, which has negatively impacted staff morale and overall care quality. Since she took over, we have seen an increase in concerns, including visits from Adult Protective Services and multiple families forced to relocate their loved ones due to poor communication and unprofessional management. Before Veronica's tenure, our loved one was thriving in a positive, supportive environment with dedicated staff. Now, that level of care has declined, and the once-excellent team seems stifled under her leadership. This facility desperately needs leadership that prioritizes residents' well-being and open, honest communication with families as this was prior to this new manager starting. We truly hope Citrus Heights Terrace addresses these concerns before more families feel the need to make difficult decisions to leave for their loved ones' care.

First you will meet the office staff, who were/are all incredibly cordial. Marlene, the Marketing Director was kind enough to take me under her wing and give me a tour. First stop was one of their libraries which also had two desktop computers. The entire facility has wi-fi for all of the residents which is included in the monthly rate. The dining area is lively and large (service and food were great! Yes, we were treated to dinner there). Who wouldn't want to dine restaurant style for two meals a day? We looked at a few different floor plans, all had different views but were all very nice, spacious and bright. There is a great craft room for arts and crafts, a lounge area for Happy Hour Thursdays and for presentations and live music, also weekly excursions and provided transportation. The grounds are beautiful, someone posted a great picture of the court yard as well as the gazebo and the ponds. Aside from all of the genuinely happy and sweet residents, I think my favorite feature was the location and proximity to the shopping center with Trader Joe's and Starbucks (also a bank, a beauty salon etc), I believe it's called Roseville Square. Not even a residential street to cross, just a walkway within the parking lot to follow and you're there. Highly recommend! Honestly, there are too many great details about this place to mention in this review, so if you are seriously considering or shopping around feel free to private message me. No, I do not work for them or with them.

It was a difficult decision when we had to find a care facility and we are so grateful to have found a space for him at The Oars. The management staff is welcoming and extremely helpful when making the transition of moving your loved one in. It is a beautiful setting and they have lots of activities to keep their residents busy. They serve healthy, delicious meals with a wide array of choices. Their caregivers are friendly and supportive. Having patience even with the most difficult residents in advanced stages of illness. I made my visits to see my dad on random days at different times and no matter when I showed up conditions were always good and the residents were always well kept, clean, and taken care of. If the time ever comes that your loved one needs placement in a care facility, I hope you will be able to find a spot for them at The Oars.
