I don't know how I would have handled the passing without Janet. Everyday Shawntale, CNA visited John to support him. She showed such compassion, humility and care. When there were a few issues with the facility, Ashley was there! She answered my text messages within minutes, quickly addressed the issues. We were assigned Emily as our case manager and she was great to work with. However, we interacted the most with Grace who was on-call at the time we engaged them and helped my Dad a good bit during his last couple of days. Grace was super patient with us when we asked lots of questions about his care and hospice in general. LifeChoice also provided a rabbi for us and I think my father really appreciated that the rabbi visited with him for over an hour. I think they provided my father a lot of peace and comfort during his final days. My only regret was not engaging them sooner. Thank you LifeChoice for all of the help you provided my father and our family.

Their whole demeanor and attitude is that of angels, compassion, empathy, love..When he was in the hospital, he was not receiving the proper pain management, they kept delaying the hospitals hospice program while my dad was dying in pain. I was desperate to get him home. Alena, the administrator, moved mountains to make that happen. They got my dad home in less than 18 hours, they were by my father's bedside within two hours of me calling desperate for help, which felt like a miracle during such a difficult time. Daniel, the nurse who came to the hospital, was so attentive and caring such a such a genuine person. And once we were home, nurse Julie and nurse Grace took over and truly went above and beyond. They made sure the bed oxygen tanks supplies and meds was delivered before my dad even got home.They made sure my dad was comfortable, out of pain, and surrounded by dignity and respect--something he was not receiving in the hospital. there was also a Sweet CNA that came to help as well, Because of them, my dad was able to pass peacefully at home, just as he deserved. That means everything to me my father and our family. All of my father's friends and loyal family were able to come visit with him before he passed the next morning.. I highly recommend this hospice agency to anyone going through end-of-life care for a loved one--or even for themselves. Don't wait until the last minute. Nurses bullied us into letting them take my grandfather for "a few days" because they wanted to manage his symptoms better. He was taken last night and we got a call this morning that he died. They didn't feed him. They didn't give him his medications. They didn't check his oxygen levels because they "don't usually do that" but they PROMISED THEY WOULD BECAUSE IT WOUKD MAKE US FEEL BETTER FOR HIS OXYGEN TO BE STABILIZED. They pumped him up with morphine when we specifically said we only give it to him once a day before sleep. They took him away from us to leave him in a room by himself and die.

Red from Suncrest was just as amazing, keeping me updated every week, They both are very compassionate and love what they do and it shows. The last week of her life Red and Gloria helped me through it all. and Gisela and her staff at the Waverly as well. The social worker Stephanie, was actually there in the room when my Mom took her last breath. She looked so beautiful, Gloria would dress her, put a little blush & lipstick on and when she passed, she looked like an angel, Both of these places are so wonderful. Together, they are the best choice if you are needing care and compassion for your loved one.

Suncrest Hospice blocked my phone number, effectively avoiding accountability for their corrupt administration. I want to clarify that my concerns are not about the nurses or CNAs; it is the administration that is entirely corrupt. I urge everyone to request their medical records and read every detail carefully. The lies, misinformation, immaturity, and irresponsible behavior I encountered were unacceptable. I am a 58-year-old daughter who lost my mom, and instead of offering support, they made my grief and panic even worse. I do not recommend this organization because of the administration--particularly people like Timothy Dance--not because of the dedicated nurses and CNAs involved in my mom's care.

Because the care and programming and staff are so family- and patient-centered, my brothers and sister and I have a kind of peace of mind and heart we never thought possible. All I can say is thank heavens they bought long-term care insurance (with no cap!) back in the late '90s. After mom passed in 2016, dad ultimately moved to the "Renaissance Care" floor, where every possible need he has is met. We even transferred his supplementary health insurance coverage plan to the Sunrise Advantage Plan, as it's far less costly than BCBS, and his care is even more comprehensive, with visiting providers instead of the disruption of him having to go to them, which is quite difficult in his current confused state. We were worried they wouldn't like the food, but they loved it from the start! I think the food at a place like this serves as a barometer for their feelings about being there, and from the start, although a bit bumpy at first (nobody wants to move away from home), they settled in nicely and made friends. I would highly recommend Sunrise to anyone considering assisted living.

A Hospice Experience That Left Me Traumatized…read more I would not recommend Rainbow Hospice, specifically their in-unit hospice located at Resurrection Medical Center, based on my experience during my mother's final hours. My mother passed away early in the morning on January 25, 2026, while under their in-unit hospice care at Resurrection Medical Center. When my mother entered the active stage of dying, the hospice staff did not explain what was happening or prepare me for what I was witnessing. Despite clear signs that my mother was actively dying, the nurse refused to confirm this and did not advise me to call family, which is a critical responsibility in hospice care. After my mother was given morphine and Ativan, she began coughing heavily, moaning loudly, and tearing up. I repeatedly went to get help. An older male nurse named Ray, who was working in the in-unit hospice at Resurrection Medical Center, responded in a way that felt dismissive and uncaring. Instead of explaining that these were end-of-life signs or offering reassurance, he handed me a book about dying. When I returned again concerned about my mother's loud moaning and coughing, he told me that if it was bothering me, I could go sit in another room. At no point did he explain that my mother was likely in her final moments or that death was near. When my mother had thick mucus coming out of her mouth, I had to ask whether I was allowed to wipe it away. Even then, no one explained that this was a normal part of the dying process. I was left without guidance, reassurance, or emotional support during one of the most painful moments of my life. Another hospice organization later explained that families are typically clearly informed when a loved one is nearing the end, especially in an in-unit hospice setting, so they can prepare emotionally and decide whether to call family. That did not happen with Rainbow Hospice, and I deeply regret choosing them. Hospice care -- especially in-unit hospice care within a hospital -- should provide clear communication, compassion, guidance, and emotional support. Unfortunately, Rainbow Hospice failed to provide that for my family. Do not take your loved one here if you expect honest communication, emotional support, or clear guidance during the dying process.i am traumatize .
