The sweet potato pancakes were really good, and the steak and eggs surprised me because the steak portion was huge and cooked really well. The avocado toast was also delicious, and even something simple like the eggs and cheese tasted amazing -- they really know how to make good scrambled eggs there. I also thought it was really cool that they had a little French market section where you can shop for French products while you're there. Most of the mimosas were really good too, and on Sundays they're only $5, which was a nice bonus. The wait time was definitely long -- over an hour and a half -- but honestly, the food and overall experience made it feel worth it in the end!

Everything is clean and intentionally places, it almost feels like dining in someone's really nice sunroom. The service was great. Molly took care of us and she was helpful, quick and efficient. Would definitely look for her again on my next visit. The food. First of all I underestimated the portions. The Red Potato Hash is enormous. Really great flavor but I barely made it halfway through the bowl. I also ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes. They're probably my favorite thing on the menu. Taste, texture, consistency, all perfect. Tried their crepes for the first time and loved it as well. As someone who drinks coffee daily, they make really good lattes. The salted honey was that perfect balance of sweet and salty without being too much of either. This is the perfect breakfast/brunch restaurant. They're consistent, personable and efficient. Can't wait to come back and check out some new items.

My partner and I were greeted immediately upon arriving inside and were told me could sit anywhere we liked on the patio. We could have sat inside, but It was a beautiful day so we wanted to take advantage of the weather and view. We ordered coffees-my dirty chai latte was delicious and my partner was happy with her iced americano as well. We shared the apple crepe and although I wished it had a little more moisture inside, the cinnamon and Nutella were delicious and complimented the apples nicely. The service was excellent, we enjoyed our time, and would definitely return.

Village Tavern was my first pick, but was a 25+ min for a table and we were hungry and in somewhat of a rush. We made our way next door to penny path and I was excited for crepes and maybe even more excited for coffee. I had skipped my usual 2 cups that morning thanks to a rushed airport experience. The iced latte hit the spot. Even my 15 year old stole some sips because she liked it and isn't a coffee drinker (yet). As for the crepes it was ok. I went with the Brie, apple and turkey Brie which is usually an amazing combo but just wasn't doing it for me. I ate about half because I was famished and held off on the rest. My husband polished off his Hawaiian crepe and my daughter did the same with her pizza crepe. Since we were there for lunch we went savory over sweet, but the sweet ones did look good. I'd come back for coffee, but would probably eat elsewhere next time. However it was a very cute cafe in an adorable little center not too far from campus.

The high wooden bookshelves and designated reading tables give it literary cachet, but The Remedy leans more cozy than stuffy. There's plenty of seating inside and out, and this would be as good a place for a group as it would be for partaking solo. Part coffeeshop and part bar, The Remedy also offers baked goods, flatbreads and charcuterie alongside its coffees, teas, and cocktails. I passed on the food (it seemed overpriced), but the coffee left no room for complaint. I went with a marshmallow iced latte. It was prepared quickly, and it made for a smooth sip: not too sweet and no acidity. Winston-Salem has no shortage of places to grab a drink of the caffeinated or alcoholic varieties, but it's hard to beat the atmosphere that The Remedy has to offer.

I felt like I interrupted the gentlemen's conversation by trying to order and they were not very friendly. The veggie quiche was over $7 and kind of small. I was still hungry. It was good though. I'll add that I did not try the coffee (which apparently is a staple) There are so many OTHER breakfast and coffee spots in the city... I'll just say that.

Here is the summary of my experience here: 1) Ambiance 5/5: Cheerful contemporary inviting vibe. The seating is limited but I believe this is mostly a to-go coffee place. There is a couch and about 4-5 2-seater tables 2) Service 5/5 - The service was delightful. I had few questions about the bagels being vegan and they patiently heard and found out about it. Good news - Most of the bagels are vegan :). The girl in the front taking orders was very patient and helpful 3) Food 6/5: I am neither a fan of bagels not do I like coffee but I got them both. Here is the review: a) Iced Vanilla Latte - I did not want to have it but when I took a sip from my wife's cup, I was forced to get myself one too coz it was really good. b) Blueberry Bagel with cream cheese - This was another hit. Great bagel and cream-cheese. FYI - I am not a bagel connoisseur so I might be wrong but I loved the taste. 4) Value for Money 5/5 - Totally worth it in my opinion. If I am ever back in town or anyone is tired of waiting in line for the Table, ditch it and instead come here The Good: 1) Ambiance 2) Service 3) Iced vanilla latte 4) Bagels (they are mostly vegan) Not so Good: 1) They dont have sandwiches. 2) You need to toast your own bagel
