How does a dealership Try to charge a $200 diagnosis' fee on a brand new three week old truck with 1,400 miles???? They claimed it was in the event that "critters chewed through my wiring" when I brought it in and required me to agree to it in order to check the light. The tech said it's because you modified the truck. I explained that it was bought directly from Ram Upfitted by AEV, showed him the factory placard in the door jamb. It is covered entirely by Ram under the factory warranty. When done they corrected the problem, handed me the keys and told me I was good to go, no mention of charge. Then today I get an invoice sent to me to pay stating could not duplicate the problem. Well what are you duplicating, you cleared the check engine light and took apart the air box for inspection???? The truck was very sluggish and jumpy then bells and whistles going off, and codes were both related to the transmission in distress (codes: P0944, P0868). The service manager told me they were not replacing my transmission or returning my money from a job not completed or reimbursing me for a rental. Definitely avoid this service department!!!!!! i took my van in for warranty work in february. after many, i mean many calls & text to service department and chrysler warranty division. they approved 4240.00 in warranty work, i finally got my van back on april 1st and it ran like crap and has a cracked windshield. they claimed that a wire was loose and it runs fine and my windshield is my problem. i went back on april 8th and the manager told me "call your insurance and have them fix your windshield end of discussion". over the years i have had a number of vehicles fixed at brookfield dodge with warranty work to the tune of over 10,00.00 dollars. apparemtly they do not want my business! now they will not get any more of my business. in fact i will be contacting chrysler warranty and my attorney. read more

After reading the reviews today, I was shocked to see so many 1 star reviews. So far I have had a great experience! We worked with Damone, we made an appointment, to test drive a truck, They stayed late to let us take our time. They let us take the truck overnight. This morning we went in and tested 2 other trucks. I was expecting more pressure, but Damone set us up without any complaint. He knew all 3 of the trucks, dodge, f150 and the Silverado and their features. We settled on the dodge. We also spoke briefly with the manager whose assessment on all 3 trucks was spot on. I took my car in for new breaks a month ago, and they started to grind. The cost for front breaks and rotors and a front headlight was almost a thousand dollars. Wow... way too much, especially since they started to grind again. I took the truck back yesterday only for them to tell they couldnt.find.anything wrong. My husband asked if he took the truck to another mechanic, and they found something wrong, and they would then fix it. She replied No. the receptionist attitude was rude and terrible. Buyers Beware. My mom traded in her 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 18,000 miles in Excellent condition and they only gave her 20k for it. She leased it from them in 2018 and when her lease expired, she paid the remaining balance. The guy told her he gave her 20k because that was what she paid off minus the taxes. What happen to how much the car is worth? According to Kelly Blue Book, the traded in value was around 31k. What she paid DOES NOT have anything to do with it. She ended up purchasing a black 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 59 miles for over 49k, but a so call third party website has it 43k. Unfortunately I could not be there with her because I live in California. They fast talk you and take advantage of older women who come in there by themselves. Update 10/22/2022 the auto service contract that Brookfield sold me. Finally did a 3 way call with me said they would pay for rest of the repair. I have yet to get paid back. Let's add to that after my car was serviced at Brookfield Chrysler (which by the way sold me the car with a remote start feature) that worked when I took the vehicle in to get this major work done. All the sudden my car won't shut off when I removed the key. I had to lock the doors to shut car off. I returned the car and they basically told me my remote start was a aftermarket. Yet they sold it to me with this aftermarket feature. The service department called my I said "it worked before the repair" they disconnect the remote start and gave me car back. I asked the service manager what I can do. He told me to take it to summer shop that's not Brookfield. I wrote Andy the manager a letter in the mail. I've been blatantly ignored and still no follow up or problem fixed. I will not be recommending Brookfield to any car buyers in the future. read more

I have to express my discontent. My JEEP was sent to another business to have specific windows tint replaced. I specified I wanted the tint to match what was already there but apparently this was not relayed to the other business. I get my car back and the tint doesn't match. There has been a huge lack of communication on part of the dealership and the other business. What I specifically wanted should have been passed to the window business and if that couldn't be matched, they should have contacted the dealership to check with me to see if I want to proceed. It may seem like a lot of work but I wish some people had common courtesy and not just about make the money. I am holding both businesses accountable. The window business for allowing my car to roll out of their shop like this, and the dealership for not making sure the job was done as the customer requested. This has caused me way more discomfort and distress than it's worth. Customers--make sure you specify exactly what you want. Sometimes it's better to avoid the middleman. All this with the Finance guy...told him to get the guy who sold us the car. At the time, we were told the extended warranty was good for 5 additional years or 100000 miles. The jeep currently only has 51000 miles on it and it hasn't even been 3 years. I take it in for repairs this week and was told the warranty expired already. They tell me now that the warranty started when they first got the Jeep, not when I bought it. I went here for a simple oil change and my entire day went bad in the matter of minutes. My tires were supposed to be rotated which I paid for with the oil change. But due to the techs failure to look for the lug nut lock which was in the cup holder where I advised him it would be they just didn't complete it. Instead of them reaching out to ask where it was they wrote on the work order that the lock key couldn't be located. Also instead of just pulling the oil change sticker off the windshield the tech scraped it with a blade and cut a hole the size of a 50cent piece in my tint. Then they told me that I had to pay for the oil change and they'll assist me with the repair of my tint. Instead of just paying to replace it. Also as I explained that was unethical. They then called the police on me. I then advised the officer that I was in town visiting with family for the holidays. I was treated unfairly by the officer and I wasn't the one in the wrong. My husband and I found a 2018 Nissan Murano on the lot, test drove and when we got back the sales person stated that it drives nice and holds you like a glove, we thought none thing of it. As I looked at the odometer it had 4,000 more miles than what was on the website; We noticed that the car wasn't clean and was told they would clean it before purchase (there was an unmistakable brown stain on an all around beige color interior! Purchasing was after 5 0'clock and sales person told me the crew was gone home for the night and I said that's ok I can leave it until tomorrow for them to detail it. The next morning I thought about how stained the seat belts were and called to make sure they didn't forget them as well, sales person said okay. We get there and she hands us the keys stating that they finished detailing. We got to the car and nonething had been detailed, none thing at all! Oh wait, she said they tried to remove the stain but didnt want to damage the leather (smh). We decided to count it as a lost. This is a great car so that didn't stop us from purchasing, we went home and I cleaned the stain better than they did. It's still not gone ... but the amenities on this Nissan Murano SL was enough for me to take better care of it than they did. One Huge detail I almost left out. This is such a smooth and comfortable vehicle that someone from the dealership drove it home even after we purchased it. I found this out because not only did they save their address as home in the GPS but they didn't even remove the most recent destination from the system. How inconsiderate and unprofessional can a business get. I'm guessing it happens more often than not when it comes to employees driving the vehicles for sale because believe it or not; we were at another car lot that told us the managers wife had taken it for the weekend :)... I bought a vehicle and in the deal they agreed to replace right tail light and fan switch for heat and A/C. It's been over a month and a half still not done. When bought a car from them, told us it was getting detailed and be ready later that day. 6 hrs later they said it was ready. Wasn't even detailed. About 3wks later, our exhaust comes loose. Called them to get it in to get fixed, they finally told us it went to the muffler shop the day we got it and not detailed. Few more things wrong with it so we got ahold of them to make an appt to bring it in; Spent an extra 2k for a warranty and only covers 4 things on it and told us we may have to pay a deductible fee. We purchased a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan here, and the purchase process itself was pretty easy. There was a bit of trickery on the interest rate, but we were prepared and ultimately got a rate we were happy with. Had we not been prepared, the rate would be double. The real issue came in because they said they would contact our insurance company to get things set up. We had a minor service concern that was discussed during the purchase, and so a few days later I followed up with our sales agent on that. While on the phone with her, I asked if the insurance was taken care of. I was told she would look into it and let me know. Never heard back. I wait another week, and still hadn't heard back, so I email our sales agent. No response. I follow up a few days later, no response. So I called our insurance agent myself and was told they never reached out. I set up the insurance, and sent a message to our sales agent. Never heard back. The very next day I had an Equinox slide into me, causing enough damage that the van can't be driven. Luckily I had put the insurance on myself! I sent our sales agent another email (this was Christmas Eve now, so I figured they were closed). I waited through the holiday weekend, and waited until lunch time on Monday but still had not heard back. I called the dealership and asked for our sales agent, and was told she was not available. So I asked for the finance manager we worked with. He tells me why the sales agent isn't available and that they don't set up insurance for customers. They just have the lean holder added (which apparently they didn't do because our insurance knew nothing of the purchase). He asked if there was anything they could do to help, and I asked if they could provide a loaner while the van was repaired. He said normally they only give loaners if the vehicle is in there for service, but he would check with the service manager and see... He said he would call me back in 30 minutes. 2 hours later I called back, and he said he was told they didn't have a loaner available for me but if the van comes to them for service they would work something out. In all, a very disappointing experience. If you want support after the sale, go somewhere else. Once they have your money here, they aren't interested in you further. read more

I have to vent a little today! So, I'll tell you my situation. I went to Brookfield Dodge in Benton Harbor yesterday. They had a 2020 Dodge Ram posted on Marketplace for a great price. I decided I would go check it out yesterday after I called and talked to 2 different people I set up an appointment. I made it up there and met the Salesman. He did his job and sent me on my way for a test drive. Here's where it gets interesting. I called my salesman up and told him to get the paperwork ready. I get there and since it was late and the credit union was closed, he said just take it home and we would sign everything Thursday (today). Last night I was browsing marketplace again. Guess what I see...the truck that I'm driving, for $6500 more. This morning, I call them, actually they should have called me, to ask them what was going on. First, I talked to Kevin, a salesman, who put me in touch with Doug the assistant manager, I think. After getting in a heated argument about jacking the price up, BAIT and SWITCH, I wanted to talk to someone above him, Andy, GM. After playing phone tag back and forth, he tells me he can give me 1000 off...not gonna cut it! I have the picture of the price on Marketplace and the picture of what they jacked it up to...AFTER I asked for them to draw up paperwork!! I was told it was a mistake on the price. I have not reached out to the owner, yet! I feel if they are going to use the internet to advertise, they should honor the price! My girlfriend purchased a new jeep. Not only was it brand new, she drove it off the showroom floor! She purchased the vehicle Saturday and we had to take it back the following Monday (whistling noise coming from the window as if the window seal wasnt tight). Not a major issue, but not something that should be an issue with a brand new car. They acknowledged the issue. They had the new car in the shop from Monday-Friday and nothing is fixed. Said they are at a loss for words on how to fix it. They put over 200 miles on it during the week, which is more than double what it had when we purchased! Dropped it off with 227 and it had 465 when we got it. Did I mention nothing is fixed? They owed her a detail on the car and 4 different people assured the car would be detailed when we picked it up. The car was not detailed and was sitting in the parking lot, not in the service bay. I called Doug (manager) 3 times during the week and he said he was busy but would check on it and call me back.. never heard from him. They continued to assure us that it is under warranty and we will not have to pay for the repairs. The fact is, we did pay for a brand new car that has issues and is still not fixed. The salesmen was helpful getting us a loner car but had no idea what was going on with repairs. We asked to exchange the vehicle and get a different one but they said the vehicle was now used and unable to offer us selling price. We had the rental longer than the new Jeep and they put more miles on it than we did! It was a terrible experience we will never recommend this dealer. We now grinding brakes that are not covered because of the miles that were put on by the deal and the vehicle being "warn". read more

When we took her car in for repair they said it wasn't covered because the warranty took effect when the dealer bought the car, not when she bought it.
