BUYER BEWARE! DO YOUR HOMEWORK, Because you will find in my opinion Absolutely zero integrity at this stealership! . I spent $70,000 at this location and they lied to me from the moment I walked through the door. At one point I really trusted them and they showed me that you can't trust this car dealerships because they're all carnival barkers. I told them specifically I do not buy vehicles that have ever been in an accident.! They assured me this vehicle wasn't in an accident after I buy the vehicle and get the Carfax in my email I find out the vehicle has been in an accident. I spoke with the general manager about my concerns and he said began immediately deflecting responsibility stating they don't know if vehicles are in an accident or not, but in the same breathe said they have car faces on every vehicle that comes through the door. On the website when I looked at the truck said it was accident free, but when I get the carfax in my email it completely contradicts everything they said online. Then I canceled some warranties because they lied to me about the cost, the assistant finance manager told me the finance manager cancels the warranties. The finance manager herself told me she cancels the warranties, but when I called because the haven't been canceled yet, she said some other lady cancels them. Then conveniently it went from 3 to 4 weeks to eight weeks for a warranty cancellation. I've been buying vehicles for 30 years and this is not my first warranty cancellation, she didn't cancel them like she said she was going to and when I called to check on them now she's canceling them. Instead of just saying, she made a mistake like most everybody else at the LeValley Chevrolet she chose to lie. and when I mention that this seems to be a pattern to Tad who identify as the General Manager he acted like he was offended, and that he's never gotten a bad review but all you have to do is click negative reviews on their Google reviews and there's literally pages of them dictating the same thing that I just said.. My Chevy Volt broke down during a weekend trip to the Lake Michigan shore -- probably a sensor or control module issue. I had it towed to LeValley, the nearest Chevy dealer. They went with the gouge-the-stranded-traveler playbook and insisted on a $500 non-refundable, non-creditable payment to diagnose the problem. For less than half LeValley's extortionate "diagnostic" charge I rented a Uhaul truck and trailer to tow the car home to a trustworthy shop. Read the reviews and think hard before you do business with LeValley Chevrolet. (Also think hard before you give any credence to Chevrolet's claims about the benefits of their nationwide network of licensed dealers.) read more

Review for LeValley Chevrolet-Buick-GMC - Benton Harbor, MI I've given this dealership several weeks to address my concerns, and I've heard nothing back except for one follow-up call from Sales Manager Kyle -- the main person my complaint was about. In that call, he doubled down on defending his incorrect understanding of how to measure tire tread, offered no willingness to correct himself, and was extremely rude and dismissive. He claimed he was "a mechanic in the army" as if that somehow overruled the standards set by the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association and every certified automotive guide. Military service does not automatically make someone a certified mechanic -- and his statements directly conflict with industry standards. When I purchased my used vehicle here, I made it very clear before signing that I had concerns about both the brakes and the tires. Kyle personally guaranteed me that both were in good condition and "within spec." The agreed-upon price was based on that assurance, with the understanding there were no mechanical issues and that the vehicle had been properly inspected. The reality: The brake booster was failing. This was covered up by installing cheap metallic pads to artificially increase stopping power, masking the real safety problem. The tires, which Kyle insisted were fine, had edge tread worn down to the wear bars -- a safety hazard, especially at highway speeds. I also experienced vibration from the same tire I pointed out during the sale. Kyle gave incorrect and misleading information about how to measure tire tread depth, claiming you measure from the highest point of the tread rather than the lowest/deepest channel. That's not how the DOT or any tire manufacturer measures tread. The dealership provided an alignment sheet showing everything "in the green," but a second alignment inspection done elsewhere showed multiple wheels out of spec. This raises serious questions about whether the alignment was ever actually performed or if a preprinted "all green" report was simply handed to me. This is not "buyer's remorse." This is about a deal that was broken. I bought the car based on written and verbal assurances that specific safety-related items -- brakes and tires -- were inspected and in good order. That was false, and I have documentation and photos to prove it. The safety concerns here are real. A bad brake booster means longer stopping distances and potential brake failure. Tires with edge tread worn down are prone to blowouts and poor traction, especially in wet conditions. If a dealer is willing to misrepresent these basics, what else are they cutting corners on? Dealers should be held to the highest standard for honesty and safety. My experience shows this dealership fell well short. read more

I had a really good experience with purchasing my first ever car with Jim Dudley. He made sure what type of car I wanted that I actually got it. The service was great there. Jim took the time to actually listen and help me out with getting a popular car that I wanted which was a 2021 white Blazer. If it wasn't for Jim, I probably wouldn't have had the car that I want now if I didn't go through with him. He even made sure my gas tank was full and I couldn't thank him enough for helping me. Any of my family and friends I always recommend them going to Lavalley and having Jim help them out. still to this day Jim always helps me with any questions I have and he checks up on how my car is doing. I have been going to LeValley for a few years and up until my last visit, had great service. I had pre scheduled my appointment for 8:00am and when I went to check in they told me it might not be ready until 5:00pm. My vehicle ended up being done at 11, and was told everything was in good condition. Then the guy goes to tell me that my tires actually probably will not make it through the winter (my tires were purchased new not too long ago). The guy then makes a comment about how my mom is probably paying for my oil change as he saw her pick me up/drop me off since they told me I would be there all day. Strongly considering not going back after this very disappointing experience. read more

This is my experience and my opinion of La valley Chevrolet service department in Benton Harbor Mi. My 2011 Chevy Impala ( that I purchased from la Valley) service engine light came on along with the problem was stated on the message center that was " REDUCED ENGINE POWER and SERVICE STABILITRACK. I searched on the web and found a great multitude of complaints regarding this issue and it also it stated the problem is the "powertrain control module" that is pretty straight forward, you don't have to read anything into this, just change the module, plain and simple a 4th grader can understand this....but the well educated service advisor wanted to run a diagnostic check starting form $150 and going up from there. I am thinking this is probably not the first time La Valley Chevrolet service department has encountered this issue and one would think that in order to get to the position of a service advisor you would need to be a well trained service mechanic and after using the code reader on my car that also told him exactly what the problem was he would have enough knowledge to figure out this extremely complex and mind boggling issue, just change the module, or he could have just wanted to hose a customer with and additional $150+ added to the service bill. I would like to find a service mechanic that can do the repair that does not make a person fell like they are being taken advantage of on auto service read more

Levalley Chevrolet. In Benton Harbor MI. You gave horrible service to me and tried to con me out of what couldve been a great deal and prolly brought back a future fleet deal ‍. A deal i could've paid off in half the time. But trying to heckle someone out $8k for a down payment, for $750 a month for 72 months is a horrible deal. Thats $55k for a $22k truck.i couldve came up with 10%. But your crook of a dealer lost more of your profit... Shame on this dealership do not buy from them! I havent missed a payment with an additional interest payment ontop of my monthly!!! Told me you'd give $11k for trade but wrote 1100 so you took all id have worked for wouldve been lost and put it onto the new loan. Glad i walked away!!! I give your dealership O STARS!!! read more

I needed headlight replaced and was quoted price on phone, but when I got there price had increased by 40% - nearly double. Technician "DOUBTED" I had been quoted the price, but did not ask anyone.The sales department is fine with good honest salesmen, but the back is questionable. I will not be back there for service. The management listened politely and seemed a bit interested but did nothing. read more

Was a recall on my vehicles, called Ralf said he'd order the parts & call me when they came in...Ralf called the next morning after receiving the parts to schedule the appointments within the next couple of days. These guys were awesome! I was on vacation in Michigan and had to get my car towed to a gmc dealer. We were supposed to leave town the next day. Joe was in contact with me as soon as my vehicle arrived to the dealership. Unfortunately it arrived close to closing but Joe insured they would get it looked at first thing in the morning. My vehicle was done by early afternoon and more importantly it was fixed. Joe sent a courtesy car to come get me and bring me to the dealership. I scheduled an appointment for a recall on the seatbelt harness of my Chevy Malibu and to check an issue with my tire pressure. The techs in the service department discovered the tires were totally shot and advised not to drive on them any longer. They had me back out the door with a safe vehicle by the end of the day. As a single female, I can say I have never once felt taken advantage of or lied to by LeValley employees in order to enlist more services/repairs. Yes, this does happen and yes, it's happened to me at a dealership in Grand Rapids, MI. When a service has been recommend by LeValley, I was actually shown what the potential problem was instead of just told that something needed to be done. This goes a long way in building trust and I appreciate being treated with respect. I really feel this speaks volumes for the guys working at LeValley as well as their integrity.
