I'm so disappointed with the new ownership. This used to be my go to spot for a carwash. Prices have increased dramatically, and they no longer have the 5 day rain guarantee for a second wash. Basically the previous owners offered two washes for $13, and now it's $16 for one. And the one wash doesn't shine the tires like previously. Plus the back of my car didn't even get clean with the $16 wash. The employees looked unhappy, as well, but I don't think I can blame them. Time to find a new carwash. read more

This place has gone downhill since it changed ownership a few years ago. I use both the hand wash bays and the auto wash. Of the four bays, only 1 or 2 are usually operational. A staff member uses the bay closest to the street as their personal parking spot. Today, 3 of 4 bays were blocked by cones, and a woman was in the only apparently operational one soaping up her car. A staffer knocks on my window and tells me that they're closing it after this woman is finished. I asked why, and he says, "oh, she's just a relative of our manager. But I guess someone slipped on ice earlier so he said to close them down. I guess someone forgot to put down salt". It was 44 degrees outside. This is the typical 'IDGAF' attitude and effort they put into maintaining this place. When a bay is working and available, it's not unusual for one or more of the cleaners to be depleted. I no longer use the brushes because they're so worn out and dirty. The auto wash now leaves a bunch of soap on the car, especially the back end. There are two natural-gas, high-output dryers at the exit, but they no longer have either of these running so your car is left wet and soapy at the end. I have kept coming back since the other options locally are more expensive. From now on I'll just drive further to a better option or pay up for the local full-service operations. read more

I went here a month ago and my car was damaged. I turned around immediately to report the damage to the car wash. When I arrived, it was nearly impossible to find a manager. Once I found the manager, he looked at the damage on my car and said "this looks consistent with damage a car wash causes". I gave my information and was told they would get this handled and I would hear back in 2-3 days with a claim outcome. I waited weeks.... I finally drove back there a few days ago, nearly a month after the incident and the manager was surprised to see me. I told him I never heard back and he expressed that the claim must have never been filed. After two days I received a response... claim denied. They claimed that because I had tar on the bottom of my rocker panels that the damage must've been from previous incident. The even more concerning part is my car is in fantastic shape and this was a blatant lie. I have never worked with less professional people in my life. Just bought me car this year and should have known they aren't cleaned daily to remove glass and rocks and other particles that transfer to other cars and scratches them. I came to literally just vacuum out my car, and there were 3-4 other families there cleaning out their car. The employees shut the vacuums off on us at 6:55 p.m. without letting us finish our cars. Then when I asked kindly to turn them back on so we could finish, both employees were rude. Saying they wanted to go home and smoke. They were tired. Stand alone automatic car wash with free vacuuming. (I am not aware of what sort of brushes they use. I did not see any advertising on the premises. If you have a car with a perfect sheen or wax job and it is newer, it is advisable to inquire with an attendant to learn more. I've written about this in other car wash reviews. If small scratches would irk, ya gotta know what kinds of brushes are used.) Motorists traveling down Ogden (from up to a mile away) can see advertising of $3 car washes. But after driving up to the computerized POS machines, you realize the $3 wash is their crappiest offering. (Peep the photos). The sign indicates it as not a "car wash" but "light washing only." In other words, no additional offerings. It's a lowered pressure of soap and water, washing which is followed by a very good blow dry. I tried it, I thought it was perfect for what I wanted. The car was reasonably clean and at the end there was enough blow dry that most of the vehicle had been dried off with little need for a towel wipe. (On the Sunday I passed through, I did not see any "towel services" so I'm not sure if that is offered here.) However, my wheels looked like garbage. They were barely touched, so I had to them myself. The property layout is awkward. Pull into the driveway and your directed towards the car wash corral starting with electronic POS. You should not go through the wash and then maneuver back to vacuum. This will require going around the block back to the entrance since their property layout was not planned well. Instead, veer to the right and vacuum first, if needed. (It's free so why not.) That is if you can find an open booth. These guys get slammed on weekends. Since they offer a monthly membership I can only imagine how busy it is normally. (IF you can't wait, the 7/11 gas station has a decent vacuum. It's $1.75 for 6 minutes of vacuuming.) The following is a general statement about automatic car washes: Most motorists that have navigated car washes in America realize that if you enter an automatic wash (this is NOT touchless, there are brushes that touch your car), there is always likelihood of some sort of acceptable damage which the business owners relinquish any control over. In most cases one could lose a wiper blade (or antennae) and if so, don't feel embarrassed or too angry to return and regain your possession. I've had rear wipers fly off my ride because of a hard brush or the combination of a hard brush lifting the wiper off the window followed by the swift strength of blow driers carrying it away. Sometimes you'll hear it, other times it'd be wise to take account of these small details on your own. Wipers can cost $10 plus, top of the line $26+. Newer style antennae are usually screwed on. Over time they can get lose and at times get knocked off. Those start at $20 and go up. If any of these circumstances have occurred, stop your car and find an attendant to speak with. In most cases they will stop the system and return your belongings (if found). Some operators can be assholes (not specifically here) and will tell you it's not there without looking. Because of their crappy layout and in a sense, false advertisement of the $3 wash, I think most would use those as instant negatives to rate them lower than necessary. My first notion was to rate them 3 and never look back. But a memory I have of the visit. I noticed how every car coming out of that wash looked shiny and mostly dry. I didn't notice any spotting. Come for the monthly car wash pass, stay for the free vacuum's. As far as I can tell this place is open everyday but Christmas from 7am to 8pm. I mean it can be howling snow with white out conditions or be a tropical cat 5 typhoon with hail the size of beach balls and they are open. I pay $40 a month for the unlimited top of the line marquee wash. Use it three times a month and it pays for itself. I use it at least that many times a week Note: unlimited means once per day, but open everyday. The car comes out with mirror shine and new looking tires. Pimp my ride baby. They offer no interior services but you can hang in the parking lot and use the free vacs and your own two hands to do the interior. This is not a detail place. It's a make my car look like it doesn't belong to some bum place. In fact make the car get approving looks type of wash. Once I realized the rack was tore off in the wash, I walked into the office, manager went to grab my roof rack out of the car wash scratched and mangled. The mural on this car wash needs to be updated but other than that, the price is fair. It is open 24 hours so whenever I am high as fuck and driving down Ogden Avenue, I go here to get a car wash. There is one big drawback here and I would advise to never bring your children because there is a child molester who lives across the street, an old white man who sort of looks like the academic Noam Chomsky, and he has propositioned my 7 year old daughter several times. This place is always jam-packed. It's on a really small piece of property to accommodate the need. That and the fact that we don't have a lot of free-standing car washes around. Your best bet is to pull in and go straight to the vacuum if you can get one. Otherwise, you have to navigate through traffic on Ogden to get back to the vacuum. So the actual cleaning machine experience... I have paid for the upgrade a time or two. It is not worth it. The "tire wash" makes your tires look ridiculous. At least if you have a compact car. It looks like this weird streak on half of your tire. This is NOT a touchless wash. It has those strips that "clean" your car. They can also scratch your paint. I noticed some scratches after my last trip. If you are ok with the risk, go right ahead and this is the place for you! If you are a bit more anal like me, you might want to keep looking for a different car wash or use the manual stalls they offer. read more

Sometimes, I am easily pleased. I consider this a blessing. I love the elephant trumpet sound when I press the first button on the car wash kiosk here. Yes, I do. Every time. But aside from this bit of mirth, the wash is always good. Have never had any issue, and believe me, since this is my first new vehicle in 14 years, I treat him (yes, him) as I would a loved one, so I would notice if his bath had injured him in some way. Recent renovation makes this place AWESOME! The vacuums are FREE...and they actually work. I did my whole interior in about 10 minutes. Its up to date and sucks up about everything. The wash I paid $6 for. :( The sign says its $3 but that was the cheapest one available. I didn't see anything else. I wasn't very happy with it. It was okay, but it missed the back bumper, there were still specks of mud on it from my recent ride in the country backroads. Plus I think I can wash it better for cheaper in the washer stalls. But I still absolutely love the vacuums and its on my way home from work so thats why its a 5! read more

Really a great car wash. I love the fact you stay in your vehicle as you ride through the wash. Color me crazy, but I think it's fun. Price ranges from $3-12 for the wash. Not sure if the $3 is even available anymore. I usually opt for the $6 during warmer months and the $10 during the winter. The $10 does an underbody spray to get all the salt off the undercarriage. The really nice aspect is the monthly deal. You pay a monthly fee which is equal to the cost of three washes and you can get your car washed as many times as you want in a month. Really nice in winter months. They offer free vacs and a DIY wash rack. It's the only place I go to get my car washed. read more

I only give one star because there is no option to give negative stars. These people are as dishonest as they come. Their automated machine severely damaged the running board on my car. The person on duty said it was likely due to some part of the mechanism that is only used when you select a premium wash with wax (I had previously purchased only standard washes for the car). After filling out a report and submitting it on the day of the incident, their manager Jaime called the next day and claimed they had spoken to my wife before because there had been a similar incident before. In case you guys don't know, The owners of the Brookfield express car wash sold the business to a corporate company called "True Blue and Rainstorm." In the next 60 days, expect some great changes. When I heard about the new company coming in, I thought to myself, "Since it's a corporate business, maybe I might get a higher salary, or a change for the better." I was wrong. I requested a salary of $15/H, They shut it down and made it $11-12/H. It's funny How any small restaurant can get you $15/h but a high car wash business doesn't work for a hard working employee. Let's not forget about the handbook. The following rules, and terms from the handbook is facts and 100% guarantee. Any tattoos, piercings, and Facial hair will be restricted. Any visitors or engaging any conversations with someone that you know will be Prohibited because It's claiming to be a distraction. When my mother stops by to check up on me, I once in a while give her a wash, and it would be acceptable. However, with the new company if you attempt to provide yourself, or a love one a car wash will land you in big trouble. And with the New company, you can forget about keeping tips in the tunnel. Wash it yourself, don't use the drive thru, even though it's pretty cheap. My car gets dirty really really quick because I park under the el tracks and their drive-thru car wash just can't handle it. However, with the do it yourself washing stalls...I can get Bianca (my car) clean as can be. There are plenty of stalls and spots to vacuum and shampoo your car yourself. If you just need a touch-up, then by all means go ahead and use the automatic car wash, they have different washes and all are pretty reasonably priced. read more

Fully understand so I go to the self wash i explain to the employee the compressor isn't working correctly & it cost me $7 just to rinse off my car because there is no pressure.
