Everything was fine till I had to experience their latest new hygienist. I had glowing reports on…read moremy teeth, healthy mouth and hygiene. I get this new gal, who pushes the pocket measurement tool so far down it was painful and she tried to push periodontal cleaning on me, which would cost an additional $570 and weeks prior to Christmas. I told her maybe next time, so she refuses to give me my scheduled cleaning and somehow convinced the dentist I needed periodontal cleaning, and in a nice way, told me it's either get this expensive cleaning or leave. So, i left. I found another dentist in town, got my pockets measured and everything was fine, back to normal. Got my cleaning with the new dentist/hygienist and will not recommend Dr. Christiansen or his latest hygienist to anyone. My husband and I now go elsewhere. This is a well known scam. Pushes the probe diwn to achieve a higher number for paradentol excuse to charge more. And I was blown away Dr. Christiansen went along with her scam. I had been going to him firv6 years or so, as my whole family, but not anymore. ​

I think Dr. Larsson is as good as it gets in our area. He's always kind, patient, and understanding…read moreof my discomfort at being in the dentist's chair. I never feel any pain when he gives numbing shots, and he often will ask if I need a break while working on longer procedures. He explains what he is doing while he's working as well, which helps me understand what's going on with different sounds, etc. He corrected a bridge that I have had for over 25 years and replaced it with a beautiful, natural looking bridge that makes me happy to smile again! I also needed a crown replaced and that looks natural and nice, too! My periodontist in Medford said she thinks he's the finest "general dentist" she knows. That goes a long way with me and supports my experience as well! All the staff is kind and friendly, and will help with complicated insurance matters too - which is such a help for me! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

Got a text yesterday that husband had an appointment in a week then I and get a bill that we owe $144.00. Called today to find out what's up and they denied initially that they made this appointment without talking to us, she eventually conceded that it could have been computer generated. When I asked again about the bill, I could not get a word in and was cutoff repeatedly with her trying to tell me that this bill was from 8 months ago(very last appointment). Was then told she can't tell me why I was not made aware of it and that I was the one being rude and then hung up on!! Never have I ever put my complaints on yelp for anything that has been unsatisfactory but as a senior citizen I'm so tired of being talked down to and treated like a child who is supposed to just do what's I'm told. I love they were concerned for my comfort and that I was aware and comfortable with what they were going to do, BEFORE they did anything. The final stage was sending me home with excellent verbal instructions (repeated to me at least 3 times so I would remember) of what to do for sore gums, types of food to eat and avoid for the next few days, and if I needed an adjustment to call right away. I can honestly say my gums around the the crowns were tender, but not sore and I am so very pleased with the end results! It made me a little sad to think, I'd only see these wonderful people only 2 times a year. For me that is a first. Love my forever dentist and staff!

The reason why I am downgrading my rating for them is because I wasn't told that there would be a charge when I had to make this "mandatory" follow up visit. It feels like they make you do another office visit just to squeeze some extra money out of you. Also for any new patients, a word of caution here: They will ask you some question like "If money wasn't an option, what would you like to change about your smile or mouth?" Obviously this is a ploy on how to up-sell you on their many specialty services (which probably also come with a nice price tag to boot). Like I said before, the staff is very nice and professional, I just don't like how they are not upfront with you on certain charges.

Not only did all the staff do an amazing job, the Dentist was so gentle and kind that my son fell asleep during the procedure (no calming medications were given to him, he only had numbing shots, all natural) which tells this momma that my child was in the care of a wonderful and caring Dentist, because this child of mine does not do well with going to the dentist at all, and he has a melt down. He didn't embarrass me because of my bad teeth. He offered a relatively quick solution and my experience at Siskyou Dental was a positive one. Also, a note about Kaylee, the dental assistant. She is very pleasant and very gentle with the exam. I'm in a lot pain. My gums are infected and feeling sensitive, she was efficient to complete the X-ray, without hurting me at all.

I was going to get Invisalign but when I asked too many questions about the contract,…read morethey refused to perform the procedure on me and refunded my "non-refundable" deposit (likely because they were worried I would sue them if the procedure failed). There were many inconsistencies between what the dentist had told me to my face vs what was written in the contract. For example, they told me to wear the aligners for 18 hours a day minimum, but the contract said 22 hours. The contract also said I had to wear the aligners for 1 year minimum but the dentist told me 5 months. The contract would have forced me to allow Invisalign access to my medical and dental records for educational and research purposes, which I did not want, and the dentist said there was no way to edit or alter the contract. I did not question her on this and I tried to move on to my next question. She wouldn't let me ask any more questions. The dentist felt that I didn't trust her simply because I wanted clarification on some questions regarding the Invisalign contract. That is correct, I do not trust a dentist who is unwilling to answer a few questions about her own contract. (Plus she didn't have the courage to come tell me herself, she had her assistant deliver all this information). Seems fishy to me. I will be telling my family and friends to drop her.
