I once ate at a Claude Bosi guest dinner many years ago at Coi. I had been meaning to go to his place Hibiscus in Ludlow. Never happened. He then moved it to London. It closed. He's opened Bibendum and then a slee of other places. I finally got to one of them. The new Brooklands ehich is stunning, it has a large aviation theme on the 8th floor of the Peninsula hotel. A giant Concorde airplane lines the ceiling and the elevator ,mimics a hot air balloon ride. . Turns out the sommelier had served both my friends and Me at separate times at Alex Dilling prior. How small a world is that? So we knew we were i. For a good meal.
There is a lunch set menu, a la carte and two sized tasting menus. I dont see said friends often so we went for the large tasting menu and a couple of bottles of wine. Chef Bosi's Italian chef de cuisine is working magic while lacing in a few Bosi classics with his new inventions. Turbot, celeriac, lamb, caviar, and many other luxurious ingredients came one after the other. We could see why they got 2 Michelin stars so quickly
The staff are a huge cast of internationals. Egypt, Italy, Philippines, France, Hungary...so many great hospitality tram all over the city and they are up there with the best in my opinion.
