My father grew up around the corner and started coming here when he was very young and when I was old enough, he brought me here, too. Heck, my two brothers got their haircut here as well - for decades. Eddie always gave a solid haircut and a very good straight razor shave, so I was excited to see he was still in business when I rolled into town needing a beard trim and a back of the neck shave. The inside of the place is old school barber shop. It still has the same interior as did in the 1980's - probably that way looked the 60's and 70's, too. Anyway, the beard trim was excellent. Eddie is a real practitioner of his trade. He took his time and made sure it was a job done right. He also cleaned up the sides of my head with the scissors and cleaned up my neck with a straight razor with precision. I was there 20 minutes tops and wasn't shown the back with a mirror, and when I got home and looked with my own mirror, I found the cut was uneven, angled, and longer at the front. Sure it looked nice after being blow dried, and I typically play around with my hair afterwards to to be sure the cut flows nicely, but I felt uncomfortably rushed with her standing at the register waiting for me. My haircut is simple, easy, and fast. anyone could have taken 3 inches off and especially were I was coming in with it already washed and ready to go. Manager seemed very unimpressed with the efforts I made to be there on time and unsympathetic to my circumstances. maybe they figured they weren't gonna make bank off of a haircut, however I'm a great tipper. They canceled it because the hairstylist took on a color re-correction, but I'm such an easy cut I feel like they could have respected my time and effort to be there and cut while the color was processing. they simply didn't care for my business and thought a simple cut wasn't worth their time. Fortunately I did reach out to another salon and after I explained my circumstances they squeezed me in. They were apologetic for the other salons mistreatment and showed me wonderful customer service. I'm a simple haircut, but that doesn't mean you wouldn't make good money off of it. Believe me the hairstyle willing to fit me in and sympathize with the circumstance of being a mom of four will be tipped big time and have a loyal customer. this wasn't just a fail of the hairstylist Addie but the salon as a whole.
