Brooklyn Bread Cafe has been my go to place for years. It's a neighborhood gem and I'm so excited for their new location that now has outdoor seating. Their sandwiches are to die for! My go to Tuna Bella never disappoints! The bread is so fluffy and the balsamic drizzle is addicting. Each sandwich is made to order so the wait is worth it! The new store has many more options now and I'm excited to try all of their new spreads and salads. They started table service this weekend and I truly enjoyed just sitting down and placing my order. its kind of pathetic how much i grovel at the idea of brooklyn bread's bagettes. Although there not the tradditional french crispy bagettes, they retain a certain je ne sais quoi about them which makes me hike down all the way to the end of court street to get them. I dont know about the rest of their food though because I cant stop eating their bagettes to try anything else read more

i've never made a yelp review but i tried this place for a 3rd time today.. they get my order wrong every single time. every time they ask, hot sauce or ketchup - i say no thank you and hot sauce always end up in my sandwich. i ask for extra crispy pork roll and raw looking pork roll ends up on my sandwich. it's very very frustrating. read more

These are not typical bagels. They do not boil them for that chewy crust. They are crispy and really delicious. Nice loaf bread too and the pizza is surprisingly good as well. The service is good and friendly. No BS, unpretentious and a good value. read more

Brooklyn Bread is a okay choice for an informal breakfast. On our first visit, we had bagels, eggs, cream cheese and coffee. It was early on a Sunday morning before it got crowded. The help was friendly and we said we would probably come back someday. That was about a year ago. So while nothing really turned us off, nothing really turned us on as well (get your mind out of the gutter) which I think says it all! read more

If you love meat on your sandwich and want a meal for your money and not a snack this your spot. I'm telling you that sometimes they go too far but I'd rather have more than less and the amount of sandwiches they have on the menu is pretty ridiculous. Most of them are well executed and worth it. Mostly Italian style but they also can do an American classic just as well and use better product than the other sandwich factories in the hood. The salads from this place are also some of the most fulfillingaround and worth the price. You have to watch the amount of balsamic but that's a small complaint. This place has one of the best "to go" cups of coffee as well. But get there early for the cinnamon twist bagel. It's just the right amount of sweet with your coffee. read more

I was with someone who needed to take a dump and we stopped in this cafe for that purpose. I ordered the "s" shaped sesame cookies (two for $1.50) and they were so good I ended up ordering one more. As a frequent patron of Brooklyn bread I am disappointed. The staff is super unfriendly except for one cashier. I don't know anyone by name but the young cashier girl with black hair is super friendly and very nice. The one guy that makes the sandwiches always has major attitude along with the rest of the cashiers. I think maybe I'll just take a break from the hostile environment. Also since they moved they are a little disorganized and the wait is way to long especially if your on your lunch hour. read more

We recently catered from the Brooklyn Bread Cafe for my daughter's wedding. We ordered for breakfast and lunch to be delivered to the bridal suite for the bridal party and also for the following day as a brunch for our guests that stayed overnight at the Nu Hotel. I dealt with Dimitri who could not have been more concerned about making this event fit my needs perfectly. We talked via phone, discussed my thoughts and expectations and his guidance in recommendations and selections could not have been more spot on. His delivery staff were timely, polite and extremely courteous. Now on to the food which was absolutely delicious. We ordered everything from breads, bagels, muffins, sandwiches, gourmet sandwiches, salads, cookies and cream cheese spreads. We were 100% please with everything. The presentation was extremely attractive and supplies such as cutlery, plates and napkins were plentiful. I recommend them highly and without reservation! Bagels here are light and soft. They have a different texture from a "normal" bagel. I would not go out of my way to visit this bakery however the bagels are very good. The staff were friendly and the place is clean. Nice place to get your breakfast and go. read more

I love my sandwich that I got there recently during the "hurricane of 2011." They were one of the few places open in the Carroll Gardens. They ran out of rolls of bread and offered me an option to have my sandwich in a bagel form. Sold! I decided to get #15 sandwich (which is also available in a wrap or hero form). I ordered a ham w/sundried tomatoes, brie, oil and vinegar, which was just completely satisfying. Being only $8.50 for this large bagel-wish. The components were fresh ham and rich creamy brie, topped with sweet tomatoes doused in oils. I would say this was memorable! It was then washed down with a hot tea with milk. There is about 10 seats, maybe 5 or 6 tables, so get there early or expect to wait to get in. I mean the lines are not long, just a 7 minute wait for me when I went in, and it was after the trains/buses were all cancelled, so I didn't mind waiting at all. I found myself walking on Court Street with my fiancee and smell the wafting aroma of sweet heavenly freshly baked bread in their down stairs basement rising towards street level hypnotizing us to visit. read more

Not only was I lied to but it was extremely hot inside and there were dozens of flies landing on the food and the workers. I will avoid the berry cream cheese next time because its way to sweet for my taste. Also the drinks are way overpriced.
