A bit overpriced for what it was but the ice cream is really good and creamy! Perfect to enjoy with a view of the river!

After walking through Brooklyn Bridge Park one of my many times, I stopped here once a little while back as I was in the mood for a sweet treat. The line was moderately long but it went by pretty quickly and there's plenty of seating. The staff are friendly and this place in general reminds me of some old school places in northern New Jersey I used to go to in terms of the more thicker ice cream style as well as the quality. Of course, the price point is higher ($8 or one) but hey, it's Dumbo and they give you a very decently sized scoop so it's worth it. I sampled the Peaches & Cream which was good with plenty of peach flavor though I found it a bit too sweet. My other sample was what I ordered which was the Butter Pecan which is excellent. There was a good amount of nuts for crunch and it wasn't too sweet. As said before, I liked the texture a lot. The cone otherwise was the standard version and I believe you can update it to a waffle cone like many other spots. There's other spots if you want less thick ice cream such as Van Leeuwen though they cost a lot for less as well as the more unique rotating flavors such as at OddFellows but if you're looking for a good example of more typical/traditional ice cream flavors, I would recommend this place.

WOW, WOW & DELICIOUSLY AMAZING‼Have you ever tasted ice cream that reminded you of your childhood, and how ice cream back then was VERY RICH IN flavor, and it was thick in taste and economically sound. This past weekend, I was with a friend visiting #Dumbo and was very impressed with the neighborhood and community vibe; that was near the waterfront. But what stood out was an Ice cream parlor named, Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory. And I met the two most charming, delightful, great communicators who won me at hello. Mike and Jinx, who was eager to serve me my delicious Butter Pecan unbelievable tasting, enriched with natural ingredients and a dose of LOVE; had me reminisce about the ice I tasted as a child in Harlem, NY. Honestly, it was a replica of the creamy thickness, churned to perfection and eager to dive right in. My girlfriend got the strawberry flavored and it looked heavenly delectable. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing Mike & Jinx beautiful smiling faces again; but importantly to taste the other ice cream flavors I totally neglected. My motto- Don't cheat yourself...treat yourself does the mind, most & heart good.

After having dinner nearby, I was in the mood for something sweet and the ice cream here did the trick! I sampled the peaches and cream flavor first because it sounded amazing but the peach flavor seemed to be lacking. Next I tried the chocolate chocolate chunk flavor and from that tiny sample, I knew that was the one. It was the kind of chocolate that is rich, and so full of chocolate flavor you'd think it was dark chocolate but it's not. It's sure to fulfill any chocolate craving you may have, at least that was the case for me. And if the ice cream itself wasn't enough chocolate, there are medium chunks of chocolate every few licks. I ended up getting a single scoop on a waffle cone (+$1) and then bringing it to Brooklyn bridge park, just across the street, and taking a nice stroll with my ice cream in hand. The only downside was I can't believe I didn't eat it fast enough because it started to melt and drip on my hands... but you can bet I didn't waste any!

After taking a walk on Brooklyn Bridge on sunny day, we decided to extend our walk till here for some cool treat. Butter Pecan Ice Cream: soft creamy and super delicious! Lots of pecan and mildly flavored. I loved it. The waffle cone is really nice too. Chocolate Chocolate crunch : Has big chunks of Chocolate, this is like regular chocolate ice cream. This place is very crowded but they do have open seatings and e got seats fairly quick.

After an afternoon over at the Brooklyn Bridge Park, I stopped by the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory for a late night sundae. I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly and helpful the staff were, despite it being close to their closing time. The guy who helped us gave us very useful recommendations on flavor choices. And he was right! The flavors we ended up with were quite good. Was the ice cream super fancy and novel? No. But it was very tasty in a classic ice cream shop kind of way. Would definitely come back next time I'm in the area, and would absolutely recommend it.

I am so happy. I finally got the chance to try Brooklyn ice cream factory. There are not a lot of options on the menu and they are basic but that's but that was fine. I was feeling a milkshake that day and got myself a cookies and cream milkshake and it was very good! One critique I have of some ice cream places when I order milkshakes is that the consistency is very thick however, my milkshake was perfectly blended and very simple to enjoy. I was also able to try other flavors, which I very much appreciated. The only con I would have was that my milkshake was about $13 which is pretty expensive for a milkshake. However, I would come back and very much enjoyed my milkshake.

This review is for the attached bar. Went with my fiancé and our friends visiting from the UK. We ordered some beers and some mixed drinks. Everything was really good and our bartender for the evening was fabulous. I would definitely come back again!

I was in DUMBO and had just finished dinner across the street. Visited on a Monday evening around 5 p.m. A few employees working, not the friendliest but no matter. There are quite a number of tables for you to sit and eat ice cream after you order at the window. A few people sitting eating ice cream but no wait. Overall, it was a classic ice cream spot. They had a small selection of traditional flavors and scoop type/container options (no weird experimental flavors that do not belong in ice cream IMHO). I wouldn't go out of my way to eat ice cream here but it was perfect dessert post-pizza. My s.o. and I both enjoyed it.

I stopped by the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory and got the chocolate chunk and coffee flavors and both were excellent. The ice cream was creamy, chocolatey, and not overly sweet, and the coffee flavor had a rich, smooth taste that I really enjoyed. You can tell they make it fresh on site. I also liked that they keep their menu simple, no over-the-top combinations, just classic flavors done really well. You can tell the focus is on quality and flavor, and it definitely shows.

it is a bit crazy to get one scoop of ice cream for $8, and $10 for two! but i enjoyed the butter pecan ice cream, which was rich and decadent with crunchy pits of pecan. we also tried the peaches and cream, which was a bit flavorless. service is fast and there's plentiful outdoor seating, and it's a great location close to the water and park!

For all of DUMBO's incredible views, great pizza, and general tourist kryptonite, for years I have been so disappointed by the ice cream options i. the area. Until now! We tried this spot after kayaking on a whim, and as self-proclaimed dessert snobs were so impressed. The peaches and cream and butter pecan combo was surprisingly lovely, flavors were subtle but unique, the ice cream has a much silkier and creamier consistency than most scoops around. The sundae had fresh raspberries in the raspberry sauce and the hot fudge and chocolate scoops did not disappoint. There are some tables outside but we took ours to the park for the scenery. I can't imagine how they could earn more stars, especially given the grim ice cream landscape of Brooklyn south of Williamsburg. We'll be back!

Chocolate chocolate chip was 10/10. A little bit expensive and wish they had a smaller size, but still worth the trip.

The soft serve ice cream here is far above average making the experience all around amazing. A favorite menu item of mine is their small custard or red bean filled fish waffles. They are made to order & soooo good! Do not try & order these before closing because they will say no! This is a grab & go type of business. There are no tables for dining in. Street parking is free & on typical NYC/Little Italy/Chinatown parking. I have had good luck when arriving as late as possible. One of my favorite spots. I hope it never closes. The ice cream is thick and creamy but not as rich as American brands. The hojicha flavor is strong and really good and was definitely the dominant flavor, so the matcha got a little lost. The red bean was buried at the bottom of the cone but was good too. The taiyaki cone wasn't that great. I could taste salt, it wasn't sweet, and the batter had a bit too much flour. The texture was very crispy though which I did love. The rainbow mochi was tasty, soft, and you could taste the different flavors. The wafer stick was unnecessary. We both prefer Somi Somi, which is also dairy free, but I will say their hojicha is worth trying.

We tried the melon shaved ice $22 for the large which was a bit pricy but it was quite delicious. We were worried that the large might be too much for two people but honestly we were able to finish it without a problem. The melon pieces were sweet, the ice is milk based so it was creamy and flavorful on its own. We barely used the condensed milk that it came with (and we loved how they put it on the side for us instead). At the bottom of the shaved ice was cereal pieces and mochi which gave a nice different texture. We also tried their drinks specifically their blue lemonade and mango-ade which I thought was just ok. The highlight is definitely their shaved ice. Definitely go for the large as the small seemed much smaller and for double the price, you can get almost 2-3x more. Overall: it's a great place to grab a shaved ice and relax . The atmosphere is chill and you can stay without feeling rushed.

What I got instead was a cup of sadness with commitment issues. The shaved ice somehow had no flavor. None. I have had ice cubes straight from my freezer with more personality. Easily the most disappointing dessert I have had in NYC, and I have been living here my whole life, so please take that as you will. I kept waiting for the "sweet moment" to arrive and it never did. Just me, flavorless ice, and regret. If you are craving dessert, keep walking. This was a moment, yes, but sweet it was not.

Finally decided to wait in the long line one day after dinner. It took around 20ish minutes to get to the front of the line. It moved a bit faster than I thought it would. I think I do enjoy froyo more than ice cream because it's less sweet, but I couldn't see how this place stood out amongst other froyo places. They only had 6 flavors to choose from too. You get to try the flavors though! The chocolate and mango were my favorite flavors. The vanilla was good too and not too sweet. They had a blank street matcha flavor, but it had a weird matcha taste and wasn't that strong. The raspberry flavor was too sour and artificial for my liking. And I found out I don't like plain tart because it's too sour and tastes too much like yogurt. The topping selection was decent though. I really loved the mochi because it was so soft.
