Never had a bad experience at Brooklyn Pizza on Oleander Drive. Staff is always friendly, inside is always clean and inviting, and food is always good! Pretty awesome selection of pizzas and Italian dishes, as well as other munchies you don't see at many other pizza joints that I've seen, such as the various stuffed rolls. Love that they have Sicilian pizza, my favorite! And you can get pizza by the slice which is always good in a pinch! Affordable prices, good portions, and reasonable wait times... as in, not at all any longer than necessary for your food to be made fresh and ready for you to enjoy in a timely manner! With my order this evening, I did try to place it online but for some reason the final send through button wouldn't not let me push it to complete my order. Not at all a big deal to me, as I could call if I wanted but also I was only a couple of miles away so I just went in. I only mentioned this to the guy working the counter in case they needed to know if there was a problem with their website. I sat behind the window where you can watch them make pizza. All the staff looked happy like they enjoyed their jobs and each other which was sweet. My order was ready promptly (Eggplant Parm) and for whatever reason, they decided to throw me in some cannolis as a treat! My meal hit the spot, and the cannolis are delicious! I just want to say thank you for the extra treat, it wasn't necessary or expected but it was very kind and much enjoyed! Thank you BPC for always being a solid place to enjoy a meal. Stopped and got our pizza to go as we were arriving in town for vacation. It was easy pick up and pizza was good. Fried cheesecake was ok. We had one 12" with pineapple and one 12" with spinach and broccoli (not my choice lol). I'm not a thin crust fan but it's Brooklyn style and was still good. read more

Usually love Brooklyns as a born and raised borough NY girl myself, especially when I want a good hero or Sicilian slice. I was craving meatballs and was too lazy to make my own. I ordered 2 Sicilian slices with meatballs extra cheese all that and a meatball parm hero. All I can say is, the pizza was dead when I got it with the toppings thrown on it, the meatball parm hero was like chewing on peppercorns it was evident someone was more than heavy handed on the black pepper when making them. Ordered food online, which had an option of "new credit card", it then the page it tried to open didn't work. So I had to go back and resubmit the order under "pay in person". I ordered the food about 31 minutes before pick up, but when I arrived, apparently they just received the order and just started making my order. Ended up waiting 30 minutes. While I waited, they gave me hot garlic knots with marinara sauce to munch on. I could smell the garlic emanating from the garlic knots before I even took a bite. They were indeed super garlicky. A bit too crunchy on the outside. I tried the Stuffed Chicken Parmigiana Pizza (18 inch only, $36), a Grandma Sicilian Slice ($5), and a customizable 12 inch Brooklyn Special Pie ($15). Everything had great flavor and the crust were crispy. Is reported that they make mozzarella cheese fresh from scratch and you can tell. It definitely does make a big difference in flavor. The Brooklyn pie comes with seven toppings so it's heavy, but it's meant to be a foldable pie. It was nice they asked me what part of the Sicilian pie I preferred, either corner or middle. They had a whole Sicilian pie in the display case-who knows how long it has been sitting there, but I'm sure they're following food safety protocol. A slice was taken from that pie and warmed up in the oven. The Stuffed Chicken Parmigiana Pizza took the longest to cook and it is very heavy, no surprise given the amount of food that's in it. Of course it was the most interesting food out of everything and definitely worth a try. It has "thinly sliced fried breaded chicken cutlets topped with mozzarella cheese baked between two thin pizza crusts topped with homemade marinara sauce and a dusting of Parmigiana cheese." This is a huge meal so it can feed a large family. A guy, I'm assuming the owner, wasn't super friendly, but his staff were polite and friendly. I really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. Let's start with the pizza--it's not Brooklyn pizza. Not even close. On a scale of 1 to 10? I'd give it a 1. The crust, the sauce, the flavor--none of it matched the quality you'd expect from a place bearing the name Brooklyn. The lasagna? You couldn't even find it under the massive pool of tomato sauce. Same goes for the rice balls--completely drowning. If you're in the mood for a bowl of straight tomato sauce, then this is the place for you. Otherwise? Save your money. Now, I will say this: The staff was incredible. Super friendly and welcoming, and I have nothing but great things to say about them. But unfortunately, great service doesn't make up for bad food. And then, I happened to check the health inspection report. Nine violations. On February 26, 2025. Here are just a few: * Food not properly separated or protected * No proper date marking on food * Toxic substances not properly stored * Handwashing sinks not properly supplied * Issues with ventilation and lighting That's a huge red flag, and it definitely made me regret spending my money here. The only saving grace? My daughter had the vodka pasta and loved it. But for everything else? I wouldn't go back. If I could give this zero stars, I would. This was the first pizza I ate when I moved to WILMINGTON back in 2004 they were in Wrightsboro at the time used to deliver to North Chase right near Laney high school. MJ -- Moved to Leland in 2005 and we didn't have much for a long time. I had to seek this bad boy out last week. Still enjoy it wish they would put a spot over in Leland. I live next door and go in often after shear exhaustion just wanting something quick and fulfilling. The slices for individual sale have always been cold, after they heat it up it's greasy and falls apart. I've had the grandma that is thick and so crusty you can't cut into it. I finally just ordered a customs calzone. Peppers, onions and it tasted like someone knocked over a salt shaker into each bite. I kept slicing it into individual slices but each strip/bite was worse. Filled with salt. I love them being so close and convenient but I can't keep supporting a business that is not appetizing or cooked/served well. I wasn't even going to say anything, but my husband forced me to call/go back and address it. I'm so glad I did. I felt so embarrassed/awkward sending the food back (not something I ever want to do) but the staff handled the ordeal so gracefully and with such kindness. Also best Stromboli I've had since leaving the northeast. I am thrilled with the quality of their food, friendliness of staff, cleanliness of the restaurant and overall vibe in there. Amazing! This authentic New York style pizza gets a 10/10. Their grandma's sicilian pizza is so delicious that I had it three times in one week. Convenient location with great staff. We live within walking distance so we haven't sat to eat there but you certainly could if you wanted to eat the pizza right out of the oven. Their wings and pasta are also fantastic. I tried their jack Daniel's wings and unfortunately they were a little too sweet for my preference but their buffalo wings are awesome. We'll definitely be regulars here. read more

It's hard to find good pizza in the area but Brooklyn Pizza is awesome! The crust is pretty perfect, not too thin and not too thick with a nice texture. The cheese and sauce are are fresh, flavorful and seasoned well. The staff is very friendly and the place is spotless. The only negative I have is with the chicken Parm hero, the chicken was good but the bread was lacking. Maybe it's because I brought it home and the time it took caused the bread to get soggy but it also tasted a little stale. Maybe next time I'll ask for the bread to be toasted. The food is consistently great, their homemade marinara is as authentic and delicious as you might expect, and the veal cutlet heroes are jut too good to describe!
