    Pineapple pizza

Stopped and got our pizza to go as we were arriving in town for vacation. It was easy pick up and pizza was good. Fried cheesecake was ok. We had one 12" with pineapple and one 12" with spinach and broccoli (not my choice lol). I'm not a thin crust fan but it's Brooklyn style and was still good.

    Grandmas slice

First time going to Brooklyn pizza and omg it was sooo good! I got the grandmas pizza? Or square idk? Either way it was HEAVENLY DELICIOUS! So good and saucy and refreshing! Still dreaming about it.

Deep search for an edible part of the meatball parm hero with no avail.

Usually love Brooklyns as a born and raised borough NY girl myself, especially when I want a good hero or Sicilian slice. I was craving meatballs and was too lazy to make my own. I ordered 2 Sicilian slices with meatballs extra cheese all that and a meatball parm hero. All I can say is, the pizza was dead when I got it with the toppings thrown on it, the meatball parm hero was like chewing on peppercorns it was evident someone was more than heavy handed on the black pepper when making them. There was no relief and as much as I wanted to find an edible portion I could not. I will continue to order but I was not at all happy with the order I received tonight.

Such great pizza. Loved the grandma sicilian pizza slice! Would come again, recommending to friends! Service was fresh and quick. Loved the little area outside!!

The pizza was delicious, one of the best in town in my opinion! Service was a bit slow - we called in an order and arrived after the expected wait time and still had to wait an additional 15+ min. It was a Saturday though, so being busy is to be expected.

I chose 7 of my own toppings! Look at how much you get on your pizza! They don't skim you on food quality!

I'm originally from Brooklyn, NY so hard to give 5 stars, but the pizza was very solid - some of the best I've had in NC.

Once we were seated, the service was also pretty slow. The drink menu looked promising, but they were out of about half of the drinks we wanted to order. The drinks we did try were pretty mediocre and definitely not anything memorable. We ordered the pasta tower, which was probably the thing I was most excited about, but unfortunately it was just average. Taste-wise, it honestly reminded me a lot of Olive Garden, which was disappointing considering the price and hype surrounding the restaurant. The wedge salad was also nothing particularly special. The steak was definitely the best part of the meal. It was tender, cooked well, and actually had great flavor. I will say, having the server serve the pasta directly from the tower was a really cool presentation and made the experience a little more fun. Overall, though, I just don't think Sugo lived up to the hype. There was nothing terrible about our experience, but there also wasn't anything that made me think, wow, I have to come back here. For the price and the reputation, I honestly wish we had chosen somewhere else in Wilmington.

My vodka sauce (and one of my friend's as well) was only lukewarm and very thin, more like a watery tomato soup than a sauce. Oddly, the noodles themselves were extremely hot, but so soft that it was hard to even pick them up without them breaking apart. My husband ordered a baked ziti, and his dish was even worse, the noodles were completely overdone and lacked any structure. You could not stir the cheese in without the noodles shredding. When we brought this up, the staff seemed a bit confused, so we showed them how easily the noodles were falling apart. Instead of being apologetic or acknowledging the issue, the response felt more like, "Okay, so what do you want?" which came across as a bit abrasive and dismissive. They did still charge us for our appetizer and drinks (one cocktail and a soda), which felt a bit off given the situation. It wasn't necessarily about the cost, but more about the lack of effort to make things right, it just didn't feel like there was much care in how the situation was handled. We've had better experiences on Resy before, so this visit was disappointing. Atmosphere was ok. Temp was fine.

Unfortunately, our experience was incredibly disappointing. Our group of friends ordered our entire meal at once and had just received our appetizers when a staff member abruptly came to our table and, in a very rude and confrontational manner, told us to "be quiet" because we were being too loud. We understand that restaurants have to maintain a comfortable atmosphere for all guests, and if our volume had become an issue, a polite and discreet request would have been completely appropriate. Instead, we felt embarrassed and scolded. The interaction left us so uncomfortable that one member of our party immediately asked for the check and told them we would be leaving before our entrées were even served. Rather than apologizing, showing any empathy, or attempting to salvage the situation, the staff simply brought the bill, set it on the table, and walked away. What was most disappointing wasn't being asked to lower our voices--it was how we were treated afterward. Hospitality is about making guests feel welcome, even when an awkward situation arises. There was no apology, no acknowledgment that the interaction could have been handled better, and no effort whatsoever to make things right. Given the restaurant's reputation, we expected exceptional food paired with exceptional hospitality. Sadly, while we may never know how the main course would have been, the service ensured we won't be returning.
