Brookside Deli is a local family spot. Everyone is always super nice and accomodating, but today when I stopped in, I was saddened to see the effect that this pandemic has caused on his business and in turn on his family. Did he say anything? Of course not, but the struggle is in his eyes. They have a bunch of specials hot and cold, an array of drinks and snacks all of which you are sure to enjoy. Please, everyone, I am asking you to stop by Brookside Deli (and then keep stopping by). Their food is tasty, made with love, the prices are reasonable and most importantly they need our business. If this was your pops or your uncle, it would break your heart to see his worry so let's do the right thing for our community and skip the fast food and instead stop by for real food, fast at Brookside Deli. Updated review: So usually I wouldn't go back to a place I left a bad review but, my co-workers decided to order food from here today so I figured I would give them another shot. I ordered the Chef Salad which is supposed to be Tossed greens, tomatos, onions, cucumbers, peppers, boiled eggs, ham, turkey, and cheese. My salad came with 4 skimpy rolls of cold cuts over lettuce and tomato. 3 thin slices of cucumber. No peppers, no eggs. Cost me over $10. Wont be back Original Review: Ordered a number 33 on a wrap. Supposed to be chicken cutlet,melted american,lettuce, and onions on a roll. I asked for it on a wrap. Chicken was hard, they forgot the cheese and the onions, wrap fell apart as soon as I opened it. This place is skippable; the food is a bit overpriced, often soggy, and average at best. The service seems to be way too quick, which has often come at the cost of quality, often at times they appear to do the bare minimum to make your food, barely using any ingredients. Most of the food seems like they've made it at least a couple of days ago, reheating it over and over until it gets sold or thrown out. Best to avoid this place during the school lunch rush, the service seems to slow done considerably as its packed with loud and annoying teenagers. read more

Strange Place - Food was OK; Yeah - I agree with the review of this place being a tad bit overpriced. The seating "Situation" is pretty nice. Good Day. I'm disappointed on how the owner, I believe made my MJHS students sandwich, without changing gloves and handling money. He also was holding the order slip in his mouth. The staff here is always friendly, efficient and courteous! They use only Boar's Head cold cuts, and the home made items such as salads are always fresh and tasty! I stopped by this morning for a hero. Went all the way home and noticed there was no meat on my sandwich. How the heck you give someone a hero with 2 slices of cheese, onion, lettuce but no meat. Drove all the way back and they guy immediately knew what was wrong. Talk about skimping on the meat. Definitely won't be visiting anytime soon. I ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich and the chicken was either from the day before aka not fresh or it was not cooked well because the chicken was LITERALLY like RUBBER. I took one bite and i had to spit it out. It was disgusting. I even tried to still eat it because i hate to bean annoying complaining customer but the sandwich was not edible AT ALL. I spent $16 on a sandwich fries and a drink. I asked the woman very politely if she can make me a different sandwich because it seemed like maybe the pieces of chicken she gave me wasn't cooked enough.. She continued to argue with me, even cursing at me and insisted that her chicken was cooked well and no one else complained.. mind you it was only 11 am. Terrible ethics for a business owner. Great food and service! I always enjoy stopping there for a quick bite on the way home from work.

This is my go to for a good breakfast sandwich. They never skimp on anything and I'm usually full before I even finish. They have a CRAZY menu for all kinds of sandwiches. All of their meats always look fresh and nothing ever looks like it's been sitting there. I am very picky and I have never been dissatisfied. Many delis on the island are notorious for having terrible coffee and I am forced to make an extra trip to dunkin afterwards but the coffee here is always fresh and delicious!
