I requested to get a taper fade. There were no other barbershops open. I know I should've have waited to go somewhere else not only did the lady not cut my hair as I requested, but it looks like a toddler went through my hair and messed it up and she proceeded to blame my thin hair for looking like this when I go to other places they do my taper fade they do it amazingly, I regret coming here will never come back again. Please do not come looking for anything other than basic haircuts. I just wish that if she was not knowledgeable on doing that kind of hair, I would've respected it and she could've proceeded to give me to somebody else. I have reached out to the owner via Instagram and no response last Friday I took my son in, we have been going there for over a year now and the ladies that always do his hair were busy so we went with a guy the recommended, he cut and scratched my sons neck chopped of and shaved the front of his head couldn't do a line he said my son was moving I said he moved because you hurt him. The two ladies I showed this to on our way out apologized to me I was hoping not to make this review and hoped the owner would reach out and apologize but he hasn't so yelp it is. We will not be going back $16 hair cut is not worth the pain my son went through. Stopped by a couple years back when I first moved out to LP. My first and last time. Just wanted a quick and inexpensive fade. A younger guy helped me and I ended up with many noticeable missed spots. Made me wonder if he was just learning how to cut hair and if he was why wasn't there someone looking over his work. Ended up going home to touch it up myself. Though not perfect, I can give myself a better fade which I have been doing since COVID. 2 stars because the guy who helped m at least appeared friendly. read more

Im trying to give this place a ZERO. Unfortunately I guess the lowest you can go is 1 star. Been coming here for the past few years, but this will be my very last visit. I just walked away with the worst haircut I've ever had. I know there was a language barrier, but showed the lady (Luz is her name) who cut my hair a picture of what I wanted. She BUZZED my head and when I expressed dissatisfaction, she simply said something along the lines of "It will grow back". What the heck dude!! I have to go the next couple of weeks with a buzzed head which is NOT what I asked for. I am NEVER coming back here. Please do NOT come here if you don't want to be embarrassed by a bad hair cut. I've gone to this "barber" shop many times now. I will list down these reasons why I give this place 1/5 stars. 1.) First off. They are cosmetologists. I'm not sure if any of them are licensed barbers because I've never seen anyone of them use a blade. Not really a negative, but it's a thought, because the name of their business is "brother's barber." 2.) You get what you pay for. They advertise at their front door "$6" haircuts which is fine. It's a la carte for every little thing you want. I've been paying around $10-12 everytime I go here for the things I want done. 3.) They have messed up my haircut multiple times now. I tell hem specifically what I want done and they give me a haircut they "THINK" I like. I end up dissatisfied in the end. I'm not quite sure if it's a language barrier. But I think some of them don't really understand what I tell them I want. I've noticed toddlers really come here for their haircuts and this place gives them the same haircut everytime. I don't know if their staff was taught to do the same thing, but it seems like they gave me the haircut they give their toddlers. Save yourself the disappointment and invest $20-30 in an actual barber who can communicate with you and ask you what you really want and actually deliver. I guess now I understand why my friends make barber appointments and not go to these $6 advertised businesses. I'm never coming back here. read more

Love this place! It is always hard to find a good barber and every time I find a good one they end up leaving but Richard at Brothers has been here for years and I'm so glad I found him. My sister recommended him and now I only go when he is there. He even does my boys hair. If you want a great hair cut and you don't mind waiting a few extra minutes then it's worth it. I used to like this place. I regret that I have to edit my review from the original 5 star review about their famous $5 haircuts. A lot has changed since my first haircut here in 2017. Since then, The prices have went up drastically to about $17 (not including tip) and quality of the cuts have dropped dramatically (just sloppy). Their roster of barbers is constantly changing and most of them have just gotten their license. Not to mention, they now only spend about 10 minutes cutting hair per person. The only exception to this is the owner, first chair to the right of the cash register. The owner talks way too much. He will disrupt your haircut to talk to another barber or customer. He will stop cutting your hair to watch the football game. He will cut your hair without looking at it. He will take 50 minutes for a 10 minute job. That is unacceptable. Avoid him at all cost. This is not a terrible business and I understand that the cost of living is rising. It's just a shame to see it now from where it used to be. They need to take down the $5 haircut sign. It is very misleading (the only thing you can probably get for $5 now is a buzz cut LOL!). Even with what they charge now, there are plenty of barber shops of this price point ($20) that give you the quality you pay for. This is not one of them. Two stars. read more

First time here, from recommendation. Not bad for $5 kids cut under 5! Better and faster than I can cut myself (although not exactly a through job, but good enough), especially on a moving and crying 2 year old. It was $10 for a 5 year old girl, but the lady was nice to recut 2" shorter when I first wanted 1" shorter. Would return if I have no time and skills to cut myself. Wish I can give this place 0 stars. My little brother has long hair and went in to cut his hair for school and 2 young barbers laughed at him in front of his face. If my family is going to you for your service I'm expecting you guys to be professional. They were so rude to my mom and had the audacity to ask for a tip. My mom was mad and said no she's not tipping while he was still cutting my little brothers hair and he left a couple of long pieces on purpose. This place is also so unsanitary. I taking my boys here, have been coming here f Since 2018... i often pray for the barber ‍‍‍ cutting their hair because my kids are and dislike anyone touching their ‍‍‍ head, they dislike to be held, so you can imagine. The owner asked us as soon as we walked in, how many we were and directed us to the ladies that were available. ladies were sooo attentive, they knew how to entertain my kids, they got lollypops to calm them down and conversed with them, to ease their nervousness. As if they were paying customers, which is what kids like to be engaged! Been here 5 times and have had 5 different barbers. They use non-professionals here, and some bring in their own brushes that are filthy. Mostly females who can only use power clippers with guides on them, the owner is a jerk and thinks he's it. They don't know how to treat customers or even talk with you. It is dirty and should be reported to the health department. I finally woke up after the last cut, it looked like a 2-year-old cut it, was really embarrassing. Let me save you a trip! I came back here to have them fix my son's hair because his low fade hair cut was crooked. (I couldn't tell how crooked it was until he showered) The lady that did his hair didn't understand that it was crooked and kept saying that was a low fade haircut. I had to keep telling her where to cut more of his hair. She looked annoyed when I told her if she can ask another barbers opinion. She was telling the barbers it was a low fade haircut but they didn't bother to get a closer look at his hair they just agreed with her. I went here with lower then low expectations, my usual barbershop was closed today... wanted to get my 5 yr old son cleaned up. I have the problem that whenever I go in the barber never listens to what I'm asking for, is rude, non talkative and boring. I was HIGHLY surprised walking in here. Absolutely revamped. The guy (I forgot to ask his name) was from the original la puente shop. I absolutely loved the atmosphere, loved how he chatted with me, oldies playing in the background and 100% kind demenor to my son even with him being fidgety and itchy. The news Chanel was on when my son was getting a haircut so the lady was watching the news trying to cut his hair and decided to give him a new hair line at her discretion he had picture day today and I wanted it to be fresh so I did it last night worst mistake because I have never been there before but I heard decent things . None the less I didn't feel like paying her but she did a job and didn't think there was anything wrong with it I do recommend she get glasses or turn off the Tv because now a little boy has to take his spring pictures with a jacked up hair line . I notice they have a couple of amateur who's learning how to cut hair. Slowly the price start to go up, which is understand able, due to cause of inflation. After the covid 19, the price went up 33%, that's unacceptable. I was caught off guard when she told me how much my son and I hair cut cost, that was not include tip.
