Like always I came out with an awesome haircut. It's the best feeling knowing you look your best. They are up to date on all hair styles so their is nothing they can't do. By them I mean Chava and Louie. I've been going to Chava for 10 plus years so I totally trust him. Chava and Louie build up their clientele over the many years of barbering so now own their own shop here in La Puente. I actually used to get my haircuts in Ontario where I'm sad to say couldn't make that drive anymore living here in La Puente so losing my favorite barber was really tough. My brother Jeremy introduced me to Chava and the rest is history as they say lol. Chava building such a large client base does take its toll I should say because the wait can be very long and grueling depending on the day you go of course. The same situation goes for Louie too. I gotten my haircut by by him many times but there is a long wait. Even though it sounds like I'm whining here a bit it's quite the opposite. Just keeping you aware of what goes down at the shop. The fact is you get the haircut you wanted or come out with a hairdo even better. Well let's not forget the new guys in the shop either. I know we're all afraid at one point to try someone new but the fact is you need a backup barber for those time constraint situations. Trust me I've got my backup barber (plan b) and that is the boy Oscar. My head was nappy like Buckwheat from the little rascals and I never let it get that bad trust me. Well had to do something right so I gave Oscar a try. Oh yeah I forgot to mention Chava was on vacation for awhile and much deserved but boy I needed my haircut. Gave Oscar the 411 on how I get my hair done and man did he do an awesome job. The man works with you step by step making sure you liking what you seeing. If I had my eyes closed I swear that it was Chava there doing it but nope much respect to Oscar. He got the skills to pay the bills lol. Most peeps are probably on their phone or watching what's on the tv there but me I watching the other barbers. That would be DJ and Miguel. Gotta say the dudes can get down. You tell them how you want it and boom!!! Done deal. You can tell their very much into their craft and not just there to make a buck. My recommendation is give all the fellas a try and then choose your plan A and plan B etc.... read more

Left Famous Cuts in Covina and started bringing my husband and Son here. It was recommended by my brother who has been a long time customer. My husband usually goes to who's open but Chava always cuts my sons hair. I love that when we walk in he always remembers my son and already knows his cut. He's super sweet with my daughter too and always offers her a lollipop as well. This is now their new barber shop. The only thing that we don't like is the wait time. Louie, Chava and all the other barbers there at La Puente Barbershop is the best for 100 miles around. The best place to get a Fresh Cut, a Clean Trim, or a Cool Fade, to include a sweet Beard shave. worst experience ever I arrived at 8:40 am and no one was there. so I was like yay! I'll be the first one ... all of a sudden the doors open trough the back at 9 am and employees let people in trough the back. if employees are coming in trough the back all customers should be sent to the front and enter like every one else. not because your the barbers homie and you have his number. he's gonna let you in the back before every one. how dishonest!! not only that but they take their time to start working and super slow service. I was there literally for an hour and they weren't half way done with their first hair cut to the homie's who texted them. oh yeah they tough it was more important to trow in a movie that talked a bout penis tha to do their job. This is by far the best barber shop in La puente. I have been getting hair cuts from Louie and chava for over 10 years these guys make an awesome team together. the staff that they have recruited are really good as well never fails. The wait is long but I usually go to who ever opens up first but when I want my hair and beard looking on point Djay is the guy to go. He Takes his time on every cut but worth the wait. Usually takes about 1hr a cut just bring him a redbull and he will finish his cuts in .30 mins. Overall this is the best place. Just recently moved to Pomona worth the 10-15 min drive. read more

Have followed Chava for over 20 years, from way back in El Monte to when he moved to La Puente. He knows every bump, crack and fat fold in my head. Never am I disappointed in his razor fades. Sometimes I don't even have to ask, cause he already knows what I want. Louie is always on point too. When Chava is not there, I know I can count on Louie to cut my hair and never leave disappointed. Be prepared to wait for either one, because on a busy day, you might be there 2 hours or longer. During the week is the time to go, like when the kids are in school. Weekends, I'd recommend getting there as early as you can. read more

I love the haircut I got at this place! It was fast and the barber (whose name I forgot to get) worked very diligently to cut my hair to my liking. I went in here about two weeks ago to get a haircut, and man was the service good. I walked in expecting to wait a while, but the barber told me that I could go get my hair cut right away. They also have WiFi, which I didn't know until I left. But I highly recommend this place. The service was fast and detailed. The guy who cut my hair would use the blow dryer to get all the little hairs off my head, which I really liked. And he would ask me how I wanted it to look, which you don't get everywhere. read more
