They are kind, knowledgeable and helpful - always! Today, Christmas Eve, was more crowded than I've ever seen it. I parked far, far away - behind the store. There wasn't a space to be had and cars were circling. I was pleasantly surprised that while inside, it was still a pleasure to shop there. The aisles are large enough to handle crowds with baskets. The newly added self check out sped up the checkout process. Today I was at the one that was at Whitworth Shopping Center -- such a pleasure (but really expensive).

They unfortunately discontinued it, so we wound up on a search for it across the area. That's how we came across KC Market. The store is probably the biggest Kosher market I've ever seen. They have a huge selection of meats, dairy, prepackaged foods and ready to go meals. Also, there are many high quality items from Israel, including cheeses, hummus, chips, frozen foods, sweets, you name it. As with most Kosher markets though, the big issue is price. They are so expensive! We used to get that package of Emek Light cheese for about $7 a lb at Costco. Here it's nearly $10 for half a pound. And it's pretty much the same story with every product. Other than the prices, very solid market. I'm not often in the market for a Kosher stuff, but I would gladly stop by again if something popped up. Four stars from me.

It's a Germany company and they do things differently to keep the prices very, very low. Most folks aren't used to cart deposits. Yes, you will need to insert a quarter into the lock to release the cart. You get it back when you return the cart. This saves ALDI the cost of an employee running around the parking lot to bring the carts back. Most folks aren't used to bringing their own shopping bags. Yes, ALDI will sell you bags instead of the usual unlimited bags (at least here where the government doesn't require selling them). Oh, and you'll be bagging your own groceries instead of an employee doing it. The selection is limited, generally only a single brand of products and that generally isn't a name brand. ALDI's generic brand is very good but people may prefer a name brand. All of this and more to keep the payroll costs down. There generally aren't more than four or so employees in the store at any time. Low cost for them translates to low prices for you. You must also bring your own bags. Items are a good price but I don't recognize any of the brand names. I will return or maybe try a different location as I feel like the time of the day might be the reason I had to get out of here.
