Went to this place on July 24, 2025 because they advertised chicken pot pies. They were overly expensive at $15 a pie, but my wife wanted to try them. Besides being overpriced for each pie, we cooked them and it was the worst experience we have ever had. There was hardly any chicken. It was all potato and very dry with hardly any crust and no fluid or gravy within the whole thing. It was the worst experience we have had in a long time. Being ripped off for $15 for a pot pie didn't hurt as much as this pot pie was terrible at this. I do not recommend this place. I did talk to a friend and he told me they even tried the place and all the food there is terrible! I should've known when I walked in that no one else was in the store and that should've been a warning, but unfortunately, I did not follow my instinct! Do not use this store because if the rest of their food is like the chicken pot pie, then I suggest you go elsewhere. read more

Perfectly trimmed chicken everytime, nothing but the best bell evans. I notice the difference everytime, they last longer than publix taste much better and absolutely 0 bad pieces everything trimmed to perfection before i even touch them. The meat selection is the best ive had out of all the butchers ive tried out. Had cooked brisket and noodle pudding for the holiday. Excellent. steaks,burgers and Salmon are delicious. chicken barley soup was yummy Great customer service. On or about 6/3/2022 I bought 2 rib eye steaks from this place. They were beautiful, and cooked to a medium rare. They could not be cut with a steak knife and were tough and very chewy. This is not the first time I have had bad meat from this establishment. Before Christmas 2021 I purchased 4 filet mignon and they were also very chewy. About 2 weeks ago I tried 2 filets again the same outcome. I brought the 2 rib eye steaks back today for them to exchange them and the manager was rude and very nastsy. Stay away from this place..................................I wish I could give them a 0 rating. I will never set foot in there again. read more

I bought two prime rib steaks from this place on June 4th. I cooked one of them. It looked absolutely gorgeous, cooked medium rare. I could not cut this sreak with j my steak knife and it was very chewy. I went back to complain and the manager said sorry, I can not help you! I was a loyal customer of this place for many years and always went out of my way to go there. The quality of there meat has suffered. The manager was ridiculously rude. I wasn't even asking for my money back. I will never return! plus $12 for a pound of chicken when The Boys next door charges $6 a pound for Bell & Evans .. read more

We had a dinner party for 16. Chose the Meating Place. They provided a poached salmon, hand carved turkey off the bone and an uncooked filet. The instructions were easy to follow and was phenomenal!!!! 3 people from my party just moved to Boca and they will be shopping there to get amazing prime meats. The shrimp cocktail was delish!!! My 10 year old son has recently started to like steak so I took him to a "real" butcher, the folks behind the counter were less friendly and informative than the Fresh Market. Butcher shop in the back, quality meats presented in the front. Big pieces of scallops that are as fresh as can be. Chicken Breast were great. The Ribeye Steak were top notch. Great place to go for quality cuts and meats. Definitely worth the prices, which might be considered high, but decent in my opinion. The guys are always welcoming and definitely know their craft. Need help/ideas on how to make the items you're picking up? They'll be more than willing to help you out. Honestly, my only issue was concerning their website. Me: "Can we order one from you". Response: "No". Do you know who might carry goose in Boca? Response: "No, we only know about us". This is one of the most customer friendly businesses that I have ever dealt with. We had bought something that was not to our liking. We went back to the store and I mentioned it and without even having to ask he told us immediately to take something else and apologized for us not liking it. In answer to the question, why not five stars?, one of the butchers gave us an oddly cut sirloin roast. He insisted that the cut he gave us was correct, but we've been serving sirloin roast for 20+ years and know what it is supposed to be. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I've been looking for a place to buy Korean BBQ meats for so long without having to go all the way down south at the Korean market in Lauderhill and I finally found this place. They know how to do LA Kalbi style cut and are willing to figure out new cuts from recipes or instructions. Next time I may ask for even thinner cuts. The shopping center where they are at is a little hard to find so make sure you have their number on hand. Unfortunately, being a specialty store, it was expensive, but it's not like they have much competition around when it comes to hard to find cuts of meat. read more

I have gone there 3 times. Each time the meals I've bought are tasteless. Last order I've bought was steak and onions. Onions carmelized but steak was like leather and no seasoning. My 90 year old father is very limited in his food choices. One of them is burgers. We came to M.E.A.T. one day after I had read the on-line menu and he wanted his usual, a plain, well done burger. Recently he has decided to have his burgers with bacon (this was a guy raised in Kosher households). I read that they smoke their own, which was the enticement to bring him. His biggest complaint about restaurants is that the burgers are 1/2 lb., too much for him to finish. The 5 oz. Nancy Pants was just perfect. He ate it completely. He loved it! I had the Juicy Lucy and loved it! The meat mixture is superb and the bacon, well, nothing short of fantastic! We came back today and he had the same order and loved it again. I had same as him, but with cheese and also loved it! On the way home he said that we will keep that place on our list!! I have told all my friends about M.E.A.T.! People better find out about this eatery, I don't want it to be Boca's best kept secret restaurant!!! The staff is great and the prices are incredibly reasonable! read more
