Deliciously crispy, sauced-up wings! My go-to here is the medium garlic mixed with the garlic parm…read moresauce. I love that they let you mix the sauces together for your wings. I know the picture doesn't do the sauce justice, but I swear the wings were sitting in a puddle of medium garlic sauce deliciousness. Their fries and fried pickle chips are also incredible! Let it be known though that when you order large fries, they really do give you like an insane amount of fries haha. This place does get super packed on the weekends even though they have a decent amount of seating available (yes it's just that popular). Thankfully, Hourglass right next-door lets you bring in food. So we ordered to-go and popped in next door for a couple beers while we ate these bomb-a$$ wings.

I ask what the point of ordering ahead and being told 15-20 minutes was and was told "we don't start wings until you get here. I reminded them I ordered a burger not wings and was told to talk to the manager. I go speak to the manager - Tristan and what I got was an unapologetic and another "that's how we do things". I explained the whole reason I ordered ahead was because I was running late for a trip, and she shrugged - Lack of being upfront when I called and simply giving a shit by the manager Tristen is enough of a reason I won't be back.

You know, when Mama pulls out all the stops and makes the specialties the family has come to love. Everything about this little place says home. It's clean and simple and unassuming and comfortable. Every person in the place is friendly and welcoming. Whether they are staff or customers - it's old home week. And the food. Go out of your way to get there. I got simple meal since it was my first trip. Rib sandwich (says 3 bones, I got 4), greens and yellow rice. And a brownie. Ribs are tender, perfectly seasoned, well sauced fall off the bone amazing!! The collard greens are cooked perfectly. Even the rice is very tasty. I am a customer for life!!

The red velvet cord near the entrance was a nice touch - made us feel like royalty walking in. There was a nice-looking outdoor seating area, but it was 98 degrees out and not shaded, so even my lizard-as* couldn't do it. There was a separate seating area inside though. You order at the counter. Everyone we encountered was super friendly. We got help with the menu and some suggestions on options. I opted for the rib dog and side of mac and cheese. I also got a sweet tea. My husband got the brisket with fries and a (canned) Diet Coke. The rib dog was pretty impossible to pick up and eat, but was very tasty. The mac and cheese maybe top 3 I have ever had. The brisket my husband ordered was quite tasty, pretty smokey (not my fave, but he loved it). Meat was moist and tender. It was about $42 total before a tip for the two of us and we both had leftovers for another meal. This place is a little out of our way, but we would definitely stop in again if we were in the area. If I was really craving good mac and cheese might even make a special trip (being honest - I love bbq places for the sides. Its shameful but true.)

When I arrived, I clicked the check in link they sent via text to let them know I was there. After waiting more than 10 minutes with no one coming out, I eventually went inside to check on the order. The restaurant was not terribly busy, so I was unsure why curbside was not being fulfilled. When I went inside, my order was already sitting on the pickup shelf. I asked the associate if curbside was still being offered, and she confirmed that it was. I explained that I had checked in and had been waiting for over 10 minutes. She apologized, but there was no additional explanation. Because the food had been sitting on the shelf, some items were no longer hot by the time I got home. That was disappointing, especially since I specifically selected curbside for convenience. That said, the food itself was very good. The pulled pork was flavorful and tender. The chopped brisket was delicious and well seasoned. The seasonal candied bacon mac and cheese was rich and indulgent, with flavors that worked well together without being overwhelming. The portions were generous, making it a great value for the price. Overall, the food quality was strong, but the curbside process did not work as intended. With better execution on pickup, this would have been an excellent experience. One of my favorite things about it is that it hasn't changed much over the years, but in the best way. It's family-run, the vibe is comfortable and familiar, and the staff has always been amazing. We've had countless dinners here with big groups (10+ people), and they deliver every single time. That kind of consistency is rare. What I order every single visit: Salad with house dressing, it's honestly one of my favorite dressings anywhere. Loaded Buckskins - You have to get these. Think a cross between a steak fry and a potato wedge, loaded with cheese and bacon, addictively good. Petite strip steak - Perfect portion, cooked and seasoned just right every time. Simple, consistent, and exactly what you want. They also bring out warm brown bread with your meal that just hits, and a side of applesauce that I've come to think of as the perfect little palate cleanser, such a simple touch, but it makes the experience feel even more classic. This is one of those places that feels like home. No frills, no trends, just really good food, great people, and decades of consistency. This will absolutely be a staple for me as long as I live in Sanford.

At 9pm the parking lot was packed! So we decided to go back Saturday for dinner and we were not disappointed! The ambiance is old school 80's rustic. This is not a fancy overpriced steakhouse... they clearly understand "if it's not broke don't fix it!" It reminded me of that old school spot where you walk in and everyone knows you. We started with some drinks and apps... coconut shrimp and jalapeño poppers. Came out hot and tasty! For mains we had the grilled chicken breast, rib eye, filet and the strip steak. All the proteins came out perfectly cooked, sides were delicious! The homemade peach cobbler was great, I wish it had some more peaches but other than that it was perfect! The service was amazing, our server came back to check on us several times and kept the drinks topped off! I am so happy we stumbled in and I can say we will definitely be back! It was a great meal, good vibes and full bellies!

I ordered from Too Good To Go where you pay a reduced rate for surplus food. You order a surprise meal through the app. It was Sunday and they offer a Sunday dinner so I had high hopes for my order of two dinners. One meal was three pieces of jerk chicken along with sides of rice and black eyed peas. The second meal was baked chicken with mashed potatoes and white beans that seemed to be northern. The chicken was freshly prepared and hot and the meals stayed that way until I got home. I liked that the jerk chicken was not too spicy. Definitely full of flavor and the peas and rice was a nice combination. The second meal was a comforting meal. Two dark pieces of chicken and a scoop of mashed with the simmered northern beans. Each meal came with cornbread which probably was my favorite part. I was happy with my meals and definitely would eat here again. I want extra cornbread and to choose another dish from the menu.
