Brothers BBQ has won their share of competitions so I was excited to try their fare while I was traveling through Ramsey. We sat outside despite the hot weather as we had a dog. Service needed improvement as utensils were not given, and they were taken away prior to packing our leftovers. The food overall, a bit pricey but generally tasty. The cornbread was fresh and a touch on the sweet side, but a delishous opener. The iceberg salad was fresh and I wished dressing was on the side as I wanted more of it as the dressing does not reach in inside of the wedge as I cut into it. The chopped BBQ had just the right amounts of vinegar, seasoning, and sauce. The Mac and cheese was a delicious treat. The yams were sweet and yummy. The cornbread was fluffy, moist and sweet. I went on a Friday night and was treated to live jazz by Ginetta Vendetta she lit up the room and brought such a cool energy to the space! This place is about way more than just food. You can feel the family roots and Southern hospitality in everything they do. The Farella Brothers grew up cooking from scratch with their mom and that tradition really shines through. I tried Aunt Edna's Fried Chicken (crispy, juicy, and clearly made with love), the sticky ribs (SO flavorful and fall-off-the-bone), and the BBQ nachos loaded with meat and cheese. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted homemade. The 2-meat combo is also a great way to sample the smoked meats brisket and pulled pork were standouts. Oh, and the Smokehouse Burger? Unreal. The environment of the restaurant is elegant and welcoming. However, it's all about the food. Although it's very delicious, you've got to watch what you eat. All my life I ate pork, so when I visited Brother's with coworkers I ordered the barbecue pulled pork. Seven hours later I was uncontrollably vomiting and was rushed to the hospital overnight with food poisoning. This was the only time in my life I got food poisoning. Now I'm always cautious with pork since my experience here. Another coworker of mine also got food poisoning here a year and a half later. People do get sick from the food here so watch out on what you order. read more

Came for a family b day dinner last minute as the weather was crappy and we didn't want to drive far. Walked in and had a decent Crowd but was clearly smokey inside. Hostess said all was good and seated us in the back. We ordered a drink and our food as after waiting 20 minutes for our food we saw fire trucks pulling up. Figured it was for Chili's next store but one by one firemen came inside. Seemed as if some alarm on their jackets went off and they started yelling for everyone to get outside now. Alarmed we exited the restaurant in the freezing cold and wind. Not once did any manager come out to update us. Finally a fireman said they were shut down because they were operating on minimal power and no exhaust fans. Carbon monoxide most likely the reason we were evacuated. Did they disable the alarms? A few covers aren't worth putting your customers lives at risk- just shut down next time. Very upsetting and may be taking this matter further. read more

I really only write reviews if the service is really good or really bad, regardless of food quality. This place has the best service I ever experienced. Amanda was our server; she was absolutely adorable. Very sweet, attentive, and cutesy. She took great care of us at our table. Who I assume to be the manager or one of the owners, Juan, was also extremely attentive. He had recommendations for us on the menu, personally brought us one of their in-house hot sauces upon hearing my father in law enjoyed spice, AND gave us a complimentary desert since it was our first time dining in. On top of all that phenomenal service, the food is delicious. The meat is tender, perfectly seasoned. The Mac and Cheese is amazing, along with the rest of their sides. They gave us the Pecan Pie for desert, which was also delicious coming from someone who's not a fan of pie at all. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone. I went here with my aunt and dad. My aunt ordered the fried mac and cheese ball, my dad ordered the fried chicken sandwich, and I ordered the brothers smoked brisket with smoked baked beans and hbb brussels sprouts. The host seated us quickly, and the waitress was readily eager to serve us and give us recommendations since it was our first time. It was not so busy when we were seated. It was pretty quiet and not too loud. It did get more packed as we were eating, probably for the dinner rush. This place seems to have its crowd of regulars and newcomers. The main reason for the star deduction was because I wish I knew the hbb brussels sprouts had bacon, because otherwise I would not have ordered them. It caused a disturbance in my stomach since it had bacon and was cooked in bacon grease. I have a pork intolerance, so later on I ended up throwing them up and some of the other food I had. Despite this occurrence, I enjoyed the food, the lovely staff, and the ambiance. I look forward to coming back soon. Just maybe, next time include if certain things have bacon in the menu. The ribs and brisket were average and slightly overcooked. The sides were good with the exception of the green beans. They were extremely salty. Our waitress was also the bartender. I've only ordered to go from here for work, and no complaints. Their fried chicken sandwich is a huge piece of chicken. The breading and chicken are flavorful and tender. I was able to eat almost the entire sandwich but it definitely food comas you. Service for pickup was friendly and efficient.
