While heading to the establishment, my wife and I had a little concern regarding how the eyebrow technician would style our eyebrows. Yes the reviews were good, but there is always the chance that you can walk out with eyebrows that are thinner than preferred. Upon entering the establishment, we were warmly greeted by Ramandeep. At the time the establishment was empty, so Ramandeep immediately sat my wife in her chair. After asking her styling preference and observing a photo that my wife provided, Ramandeep went to work. My wife was very impressed by her eyebrows and how well Ramandeep mirrored the eyebrow style that my wife provided via photo. As Ramandeep ushered me to the chair, she did a great job of acknowledging patrons that were arriving for their appointments (she was also taking walk-ins). I confirmed with Ramandeep that I did not want to arch my eyebrows, just a simple clean up. During the process Ramandeep did a good job of inquiring about my pain tolerance and made friendly conversation. Less than ten minutes later I was emerging from the chair with perfectly cleaned up eyebrows. And if you like the powder they have it for sale for $24.00 dollars. They have their booth in the front more to the left of the inside of shop smart They are all nice, they do great work, and as for myself I have very, very sensitive skin, waxing made me get major breakouts! She is the one who threads my eyebrows, she is very gentle when threading my brows, I have really thick and course hair with which she takes her time trying to cause little to no pain. I came in with the $10 for $5 voucher I sat down and told her I wanted a clean up and nothing crazy. When I sat down I didn't realize that I wouldn't be getting anything crazy, I wouldn't really be getting anything at all. I had to ask her several times to remove more, even when I was done it looked like I hadn't even gotten my eyebrows done. If that wasn't enough this was also the most painful eyebrow threading I've gotten. While Threading the hairs were being pulled out painfully slow, like I mean I sort of enjoy the sensation normally when I get the top of my eyebrows threaded however this was like a slow painful tweezing of each hair. Now I thought I would just go through this and gtfo of this joint. However no during the "slow tweezing" process she proceeded to pull my hair with the thread twice! Not my eyebrow hair but my head hair. I feel she needs to learn how to thread properly before working alone in a shop, I could have done a better job at home with some pliers and duct tape.

I found Jamie at Sola Salons on Yelp and after reading a small amount of but all positive reviews I immediately texted Jamie to coordinate an appointment. I called the number listed to obtain the address and the owner simply texted it to me so it was very easy! As soon as I arrived, she sat me down, and got started on threading my eyebrows. The entire process took less than 8 minutes and her technique made it relatively pain free. My brows looked great after and it was only $10! That's the cheapest rate for eyebrow threading I've seen so far in Sacramento. She doesn't take card so make sure to bring cash or she can take zelle/PayPal!

I called Parm to try to set an appointment but ended up getting a text back to just show up. (Texting to communicate = win for introverted me!) When I arrived, another client before me was getting a henna tattoo so I ended up waiting maybe 10 minutes. When it was my turn, cleaning up my brows only took about 5 minutes. The wait was certainly worth it! We had little communication but I just made sure to let Parm know I wanted to have my brows cleaned up. The process hurt a bit and I was offered a tissue at the end for my teary eyes. It wasn't unbearable though and the end results look great! The shop is located at the corner of what looks like a deserted strip mall. Knowing that it's just Parm that works there makes my anxious mind less worried about who will be available to help me pretty up my brows. One thing to keep in mind is that it's currently cash only.
