Before she started on my brows, I explained exactly what I wanted and I emphasized that I'd like to keep my natural shape. When I saw my brows, I was shocked. They are the thinnest I have ever seen them, ever. I told the lady that they're so thin and I asked to keep my natural shape and she just said that I had thin brows before. I did not. Last min I looked for an eyebrow threading place last Saturday and saw this location on Yelp. It was perfect because it was close to my house. Went there but then saw that they only took appointments so I called to schedule one but instead she took me in. Her mom did my eyebrows and to top it off she gave me a little eyebrow massage which was the cherry on top because it was so relaxing. I wasn't paying attention and didn't even ask prior but they only took cash which I didn't have on me. Thankfully they trusted me enough to go to the liquor store on the corner. I decided to go with threading for the second time in my life since waxing. I showed up at 10:45 since they open at 11am. But the place didnt open on time. I had to call her to make sure she was on her way. She arrived at about 11:20 so if your in a rush i suggest calling before showing up. My eyebrows are usually pretty thin so really i only needed a cleanup. After reading reviews i decided to come here. She did okay. I cant really judge because my eyebrows werent to bushy to begin with. They charge 50cents to use a card. read more

Garara Palace is in a strip mall plaza on Florin Rd. (near Lindale Dr.) and across the street from Pizza Hut. The front part of the store is filled with Indian garb and accessories for women. The backside has two chairs facing a long wall of mirror, a couple couches with a table and reading material. Gurleen's cute because she's always smiling, nice, and helpful. Threading gives you an odd sensation. It might hurt. If it's your first time, it probably will hurt. It doesn't take very long, though. You're given a tissue to wipe away removed hairs off your face. She'll let you know when she needs you to lend a hand. And in the end, she tells you the plan. What's to be grown out and what the difference with what you did before compared to what threading does. And, it looks good. $10 for eyebrows. $5 for lip. If you call the store you'll probably have to leave a message with the machine but you can also reach Gurleen at (916) 416-5000. Great and friendly service and great prices. This small shop is right across Pizza Hut and is on the right hand side in the plaza. I've gotten my eyebrows waxed before and I wanted to try something new so I ended up going to Garara Palace. Gitu was very friendly did my eyebrows perfectly, even though I wasn't sure how I wanted them done. It took about 10 minutes and she offered to put on this soothing gel after threading them. I have been going to the Garara Palace for 3 over years now. When I came to Gitu my brows were very over-tweezed and uneven. I needed serious help. After a year of consistently going to Gitu every 2 months, my eyebrows started to grow back. They now have a beautiful natural shape and are much fuller. I'm not going to lie, over the course of 3 years I have tried out a few threading places located closer to me, but none can shape and clean up my brows the way that Gitu can. Her work is very consistent and I always leave happy. I also take my brother here, and Gitu does an amazing job on male eyebrows, taking just enough off to clean it up, but still keeping the brows full and natural. I have also had my eyebrows threaded by Gitu's mom. Her mom has a slightly rougher touch, but her work is still amazing and she will transform your unibrow into two beautiful arches. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for about a year and had just moved to the area. Luckily, I found Gurleen. She is the nicest person. And she is actually even better than the lady that I've been seeing before i moved. She is gentler and it doesn't hurt at all. She notices little things about the growth of my eyebrows and even knew that I had used a cream for my upper lip (because the skin gets darker). So she does my upper lip too (no more creams). The last time I went in there, I had a huge and red zit (that I had popped earlier that day) on my forehead. I told her to ignore it bc I was a little embarrassed. She took some cream that she has (she also does facials) and put it on red and hideous zit and told me to leave it on overnight. It dried it up and was clear the next day. I was amazed! She knows skin really well. She always notices when I'm breaking out a little more or when I've been in the sun.
