Was getting my hair done at lynn's and needed to get my eyebrows threaded . My mom suggested to get it done here since it's right next to lynn's- so convenience and time . I usually go to beauty by thread in sac/ Elk Grove and decided sure since my mom insisted to "just do it here and now". So far I'm the only guy that I've seen in there and they always do me right with my eyebrows. They keep them looking cleaned up but never over the top. It never looks like I "I got them done" which is exactly how I want it. If you're a guy thinking about getting them done, you should send it. Just ask them to clean them up and trust me it won't look like they've been thoroughly groomed to where your eyebrows stand out (in a bad way). As Preet was leaving I inquired about the total to pay. Preet said that it was okay to pay after the event. After the event, I sent a message to Preet asking for the total so I could pay off the balance. She sent me the total. I sent the info to my sisters. Everything was paid. My sister paid for hair/makeup. I paid for my hair/makeup and $125 for my daughter. My other sister paid for her hairdo even though she should have not paid anything. I told Preet how dissatisfied my sister was and asked her to reach out to her to discuss the situation before she accepts the payment. Preet sent me a message that "this is not how it works". What do you mean?! You didn't provide the service, you used my sister as a model to teach your so called "helper" for her brother's main event! I ignored her and decided for my sister to deal with the situation. The next day (mind you, the payment was already made), Preet started to call me and text me to pay for all the services and send a screenshot or she would "take an action" At this point, I lost it! Why are you texting me when everything is already paid for! Then, instead of apologizing for the pathetic hairdo and taking responsibility of the shitty service, she started accusing my sister of wanting free service, as her niece ( my daughter). How is it "free" when I paid $125! The fact that she assumed that we hadn't paid for the services and the insane amount of text messages shows how disgusting and unprofessional she is! I was appalled by her disgusting use of words and accusations that I cannot fathom how this person is in business and why out of all the wonderful, talented and gracious MUAs, I chose her! It was my first experience with eyebrow threading, so I don't really have anything to compare it to. The lady that worked with me was really nice. She was gentle & professional. I know my eyebrows need a lot of work, but she did a good job overall. When I went home to take a closer look, there were a few stray hairs here and there, but that was an easy fix. I came to this place because my regular eyebrow threading spot is closed on sundays and it wasn't the service that is making me write a bad review it's the fact that the area around my eyebrows completely broke out like exaggerating as you can see in the pictures this is not normal. I have never broken out like this when getting my eyebrows threaded and Iv been getting it done for years. This is disgusting I am so upset because I don't typically have sensitive skin or even have acne this way unless it's during my period which I only break out with ONE zit of that, but THIS is ridiculous. Beware of this place! THIS is the most unprofessional place of business. AMAN is the most rudest and disrespectful person towards her customers. First of all, her charges are over the top and her services are below par. Her attitude towards her clients is terrible. We arrived on time for our appointment and she kept us waiting for 2 whole hours without an explanation. When we asked, she responded, "We don't need your business, you can leave" and said really bad and mean words which I cannot even write here. On top of that, she said you still need to pay even when we didn't avail her services. Aman is full of greed and pride and overcharges for her services. Even her work is incompetent. This is a review is regarding make up services only. I come here for my eyebrows and they do an excellent job. And I would come and see make up getting done on the side. I'm graduating college soon and figured I would get my make up done here. I asked my eyebrow lady for information and she gave me a card and underlined a phone number..which I called and got forwarded. Then I received a text saying she's with a customer right now and she can't answer. Totally acceptable. I thought she would get back to me in a few hours, but never did. So I texted her back a few days later, which we talked about dates and what I wanted done and prices. She told me she would have to check her schedule....few days past, nothing. I text her again and ask if she had checked her schedule...and again no reply. I've just given up at this point because it seems like she did not want to do my make up either because it was too early or maybe I didn't want hair and make up? I'm not sure what it is, but if they offer services such as make up, they should be a little bit more organized. I understand being busy, but there should be an alternative to creating schedules or getting back to interested customers. read more

(She sits in the first chair on the right side when you walk in) is amazing, she's super sweet takes her time & my eyebrows come out perfect. The other lady, I believe is the owner, long red hair, does a fantastic job as well. But if I get anyone else my eyebrows turn out TERRIBLE! This last time I came in to get my eyebrows threaded, they turned out so bad, she left so many hairs under the arch & I was like you missed all theses hairs?!? So she got them but the shape of my brows are totally different. I come in, sign in and ask how long the wait is because there are only 2 ladies working and a couple people waiting. I was told it would be 10 minutes, so I stop by Safeway and come back within 15 minutes. I know, I was 5 minutes late, but nevertheless, I was already on the list. The second time I come in, the ladies don't say anything and I figured they remembered I was there just a few minutes ago since they didn't ask me to sign in again like they did the first time. They proceed to help all the other people coming in after me and just ignore me for 15 minutes until I decide I am done being ignored. I'm not going to waste anymore of my time or money here. NOTE: This review is not about the threading or make up services. It is solely about the level of customer service provided by Preet. My family members and I needed our make up done for an upcoming wedding and I had called Preet to book an appointment. I was told to send her a text message instead which I did on the same day itself. She never responded and hence my cousin called her and she was told to send a text as well. She never responded and finally I texted again and Preet responded to me. I informed her about the services that we needed and for how many people. She told me the prices and range of services that she offered. I told her what I wanted and the date and time as well. She saw my text and acknowledged it. This was in early May. I texted her again today in July just to check what time the make up lady was coming, and Preet sends me a text saying that she is fully booked. At which point I screen shot the texts that we had sent back and forth and the May date which showed when we had our conversation. She gives me a call letting me know that she needed us to come into our salon and put down the deposit and sign a contract for us to be confirmed. She had not told me any of this via text. She said that people always call her but when we called her twice she told us to send her a text. Had I known that we need to sign a contract I would've done that right away. When I pointed that out to her, she told me that there is nothing that she could do to help me. There was no apology or accountability whatsoever. I understand that she might be busy but then hire someone to handle your messages. I cannot stand such unprofessionalism and she might be good at what she does but I wish she would save some of her skills for her customer service because she gets a zero in that department. I came into get threaded for the very first time. I was able to walk in with no appointment, and get helped right away. I've had a bad experience in the past with getting waxed because I apparently have very sensitive facial skin. My eyebrow skin would either tear or break out no matter where I went. There was slight irritation, where my skin became red, but nothing else outside of that. I saw the opening sign and, out of desperation, I decided to try it out. I've come here twice now. Arman is great! Quick, friendly, and efficient. Before coming here I've only ever had my eyebrows done once (I got them waxed at the Benefit Brow Bar). I've never gone back to get my eyebrows done because I'm lazy and having my eyebrows done isn't a necessity to me. Well I came here to get my eyebrows threaded for a friend's wedding based on Leah R.'s recommendation and now having my eyebrows threaded will become a necessity in my beauty regimen. I was extremely apprehensive to get my eyebrows threaded because another friend of mine had told me a horror story about her experience with another place where she came out of the salon with basically no eyebrows. Every time I've gone, Aman has been quick but doesn't rush working on my eyebrows. My eyebrows have always come out looking great and I've even gotten compliments on them. The first time I came though I did come out bleeding a little bit (hence the 4 stars) but because I have a pretty high tolerance for pain it wasn't too big a deal to me.
