Threading feels strange, but less shocking than a strip of wax being ripped off your skin. I bought an unlimited 3 month pass for $50, which makes it easy to afford keeping my brows looking fantastic all the time. I had my upper lip done too, and it hurt so much that all I could do was crack up laughing. It's less expensive than Anastasia at Nordstrom, and more reliable than the (cheap, but) one-size-fits-all methodology of the Asian Nail Salon model. I purchased my full face threading membership two weeks ago at the Northgate location and when I went I'm they didn't have my name under file. I asked how could that be??? They couldn't figure out why I wasn't showing up and they asked me if I wanted to buy a new membership. So I just spent $150 and I can't get a refund?! I've tried contacting customer service but no response. The ladies working there have always been so kind and I've never had any problem with them so don't understand this. What an awful experience. It was my first time coming in and asked to get my eyebrows done. The lady said 30 minutes so I decided to go around the mall to kill time. When I came back, they recognized me and said I'd be next and just sat down. While waiting, they were calling off names off a list, which I was not informed about. They asked me for my name however, no one told me to sign in. They were very rude about how I always need to sign in when I come in even though it was my first visit. My frustration grew with the older lady I got. She just seemed unhappy and acted like she did not care. During the service, she was doing it very fast and she never asked me once if it hurt or how I felt. I've gotten threading before and it's always been a pain free experience, but after coming home I noticed my skin around my eyebrows were super red and now I have a small scratches from her threading too hard. If you want what you ask for DO NOT go here!! I typically have my brows threaded by my lady out of town and she always does a great job, but I figured it was time to give someone in Seattle a try. Big mistake :( I specifically asked the woman not to remove too much of the brow hair since I am growing them back in so they look thicker. I also explained that I am trying to get a nice arch back in and once had someone mess them up and made them look straight. She said she understood so I let her have a go at it. OMG!!! She did everything I said not to do! She made my brows super thin, very straight on the top and bottom, no arch. Call me crazy but that seems like what I said I did not want. Threading is the new waxing... Quicker and not as painful. I've been to other Brow Art locations but I prefer the little stand next to See's Candies. The girls here do a terrific job and there's usually never a long wait. Once in a while I might catch them when they're on break but it's inside a mall. I have the membership to get my eyebrows, lip and chin ( turning 30 and having little people has been cruel lol) for 85 for six sessions, that part is pretty good. My eyebrows always look good..so I am happy there..but I swear they purposely see how cruel they can be with a piece of string. I admit I am a baby when it comes to pain; but come the hell on. It has been five hours and my eyebrows still hurt..they look great but they still hurt! Best place to get your eyebrows done! I got my first threading done here and haven't gone to another place since. My first time, they asked for my desired shape and thickness. After that, they just remember me and do my eyebrows the same each time! One time my eyebrows grew in a lot between threadings, and they suggested a new shape- i loved the new shape! Not a very high-end place but they get the job done. No appointment necesasry and usually not much of a wait time. They have a location in pretty much every mall and they all take the same membership card, so it doesn't matter where you end up. $60 gets you 5 eyebrow threadings with no expiration date. The first couple times they did my eyebrows I was in shock from the change and didn't like it, but I got used to the look and I get a lot of compliments, so that's nice. One time a lady put eyebrow makeup on me without asking because she was trying to sell me something. I thought it looked terrible and it wouldn't wash off. Also, they do stick the thread in their mouths and then use it on your eyebrow so I could see how that might bother people. read more

WARNING!!! Do not go here if you are in a crunch. I normally go to this place to get my eyebrows threaded. After a long 12 hour shift at work, I rushed over to get my eyebrows threaded for my birthday this weekend. I arrived at 8:15pm and the woman behind the counter turned me away!!! Her excuse was that she needed to work on the two other people ahead of me and complete paperwork. Clearly, this business is not about customer service at all and was very unprofessional for doing this. My impression is that you stop accepting customers at 9pm and not turn them away 45 minutes before you close. Not going here again. The first time I came in here I hadn't done anything with my eyebrows in a month. I've got incredibly fast growing hair, so I looked pretty crazy. The woman who did my brows is one of my favorite women, though she's rarely there when I go in. She was honestly shocked when she got done! And I was so impressed that my eyebrows could actually look NICE! [think Miss Congeniality when the guy says, "Eyebrows. There should be two!"] Cons: "The number of times I get asked if I wanted my upper lip done. "They totally disregard the sign-in list! I got cut twice last time when they were busy, and I was so pissed I just left. "For a chain with many businesses down the coast they definitely need to figure out a better system for their "membership" cards. Writing that information down on paper seems pretty pointless. not a pleasant experience. my friend and i stopped in to get our eyebrows done this weekend. i've been to the location in Tukwila, and was happy with my result, so i thought this would be good too. not so much. i could kick myself for not inspecting my eyebrows carefully while i was still there, but honestly, the holding of my eyelid and such always makes my contacts shift and i couldn't see properly for a bit anyway. upon arriving home, i found a bunch of strays that she *should* have caught, she didn't clean them up properly, and she cut my skin with the thread in THREE different places. i paid them $15. come on. hire competent people. also, my friend had lost her cash and was having problems with her card, and they were making a big deal and not making her feel very comfortable. don't make your customers feel bad. hearing "your card has been declined" once is sufficient. the lady kept repeating it like a parrot. obnoxious. needless to say, will be trekking to Tukwila. i miss getting my brows threaded for $6 in NYC and getting some quality. read more

It's pretty unclear on location from the information here. I did some searching around to figure out what was going on. Both shops are located inside Northgate mall. Neither was on the directory I looked at, nor on the website for that mall. * The storefront is in one of those little one-off hallways, by the store that buys gold (corners the main hallway). I think the AT&T store was fairly close by. It's on the Nordstrom side. * The kiosk is on the Macy's side of the hall, near the food court. You probably won't see it if you're walking on the opposite side of the hall. Service was quick and precise. My brows look neat and natural. She tweezed a few strays, clipped the edges where they needed them, and went back to thread a few small hairs she had missed before having me take a look. I took points off for the pricing. I think $15 a visit is quite high, especially since I didn't get any witch hazel or oil treatment after, we were just done. I miss the $8/visit threading sessions in New York. Perhaps if they shut down one of the locations in the mall, they could save some rental money and lower their price. I'm hoping they're just between locations right now and will move to storefront only, it seems wasteful to have both and not even advertise. I know they have a club thing, but I didn't have $70 available to pay for that right now. read more

Horrible customer service! They ran my card for a $60 membership fee even when I clearly stated before my appointment but I did not want a membership. I just wanted to pay for the $15 brow appointment . The woman threading my eyebrows spoke so softly I could barely hear her and she decided to run my card anyway without my approval. I came in to get my henna done for Eid and I was so excited. I showed her the picture of what I want and she said yes she'll do it and then after she was done, it had nothing to do with the picture it looked like something my 4 year old nephew could draw and it costed $30..Definitely not worth it specially when it wasn't what I wanted and when it was one hand and it was too small for $30 and it also faded away on the same day I got it. I'm only giving this place 2 stars because my eyebrows looked good. Other than that, it's just an unpleasant experience going to this place. First time I went in I got my eyebrows waxed. First of all, the place looks cheap, everything looks a little trashy in my opinion. The ladies were either a little socially inept or just too foreign to fully understand what you're saying because the conversation was awkward the whole time. Then she BURNED my brows because the wax was too hot, even after I told her it was! My eyebrows had a burn mark on them and hurt for 3 days! I decided to give them another chance and try threading. After telling them that last time they burned the hell outta me they just ignored me. I don't know if threading is supposed to be done so slowly, but the lady made sure she made it as painful as she could, and I have a pretty damn high pain threshold. I don't like complaining but I am never going back here again, like someone above me said: hire some competent people! read more

The gal who did my brows did do a good job on the shape and getting rid of all the little translucent hairs left behind from plucking. However, I wish I had read reviews before going here. The shape of each brow is impeccable. If you have perfect brows that need some clean up, this would probably work out great for you. I however, do not have lovely natural eyebrows. I have irregular shaped brows with a small, flat mole in the spot where most waxers like to make an arch As a teenager, I would always concerned about this. As an adult, I have made peace with my eyebrows and no longer agonize about a tiny pinkish brown imperfection. Not only are my eye brows now too thin, my eyes now look like they are spaced too far apart. And my mole was dug out with thread and was sheared off. I thought, wow this kind of hurts a bit more than I expected. I heard crunching in my head. I thought it was from the hairs being yanked out. I am literally missing flesh. Spend an extra $5 and go see a waxer. A talented waxer will take the time to shape your brows according to the best shape for your face and your natural features. read more

Only person I go to here is Veena. She does an amazing job. You can tell she has lots of experience. I don't even have to tell her how I want my eyebrow, she just remembers and knows. I'm in and out in like 10 minutes. I suggest buying the membership because you save $5 each time. Otherwise it's $15 per session. But, with the membership it's $60 for 6 sessions. Also, sometimes it can get busy, so I'd call and ask how long the wait time is, especially if you're in a hurry. read more

Went here with a friend to get henna done for Karva Chauth. (Indian holiday.) They charged us $60 each for getting just our hands done (which is super expensive) and it only lasted 3 days. I don't know what kind of cheap henna they use but the whole experience was really disappointing. (Usually it lasts weeks.) Will never go back. Will tell people not to go there. Way overpriced. Had an absolutely terrible experience today. My friend and I decided to try brow tinting for the first time, and went with the woman's recommendation on color, asking that she not go too dark. We are both very blonde, and walked out of the salon with black eyebrows. After scrubbing at home, had to run to the drug store for emergency dye removal. Although this did the trick, the experience was a heart stopper, not to mention a huge waste of $30. Very disappointed. read more
