I don't think I've ever been so mad in my life so on my mothers birthday we went to go get our eyebrows done at this brow art place in Pensacola at the mall and the women working there she had pink hair I don't remember her name well she was rude she rolled her eyes a lot and when I told her want I wanted for my eyebrows she corrected me and said it's called a clean up well she threaded and cut half my eyebrows off and then tinted my mothers eyebrows to the point you can't see it and threaded them so far apart she yanked my main eyebrow out when it's thick and I felt her pull it getting to my car with my mom you can see where she cut them and they look awful this place is awful and needs to be shut down I'm getting a refund and called a few people this women needs to be fired for what she has done this is what she did I found out her name it's Elisabeth she was extremely disrespectful to me and my mother telling me I have no eyebrows Update: got my money back! read more

Be careful of the new threaders. I was there last night and the girl spent 2 minutes max doing my eyebrows. The lines aren't clean, stray hairs were left on the lower brow bone, she didn't touch the top of the brow, blood wasn't blotted off, and the pulled hairs weren't brushed off, just left on my forehead. I had to ask her to clean up the center area, which she took tweezers and pulled a few hairs from the inner edge of my left eyebrow - so now they're uneven and the center wasn't even touched. I had to go home and clean everything up myself. Had that been my first time there, I would NOT come back. But I know the other girls do amazing work. I'll continue to go back, but if that girl is there, I'll be turning around and leaving. read more

They took a chunk of brow off my husband and it was terrible. I could not believe, how? WITH THREADING, how do you mess up that badly?? With threading?? Hahahaha. MISTAKES happen, I understand, but THIS CHUNK was just SOOO BAD. It was something that you just can't undo or unsee. This was my first threading experience and the woman was very nice and quick. Maybe too quick because over my left eye there was a lot of broken skin (photo posted) and a small area over my right as well. I never got this from waxing. Normally I wouldn't post bad reviews but since they actually hurt me I thought I'd warn others. I went during the afternoon the other day to get my eyebrows done like I have many times before at this particular store. I noticed during the process that it hurt more than usual (a new girl was doing my brows) but I hadn't had my brows done in a while and just assumed I forgot how painful it was. As I'm leaving the store, my sister pointed out that I'm bleeding, i looked closer and the beautician had actually ripped my eyelid with the threads and the scratches haven't gone away in days. My eye is still sore and you can bet I will never be going here again. read more

The older lady with median length black hair was who did my eye brow. There was no one in there and rushed me out the place leaving my left brow sore and irritated the whole evening. All that pain and she still left hairs behind and clean them up. Worst $12 spent to top it off the brow brush she used was so dirty. To make matters funny, I didn't think this lady could be more serious until she saw I didn't tip her. Do NOT let the older lady do your eye brows! Her name is Naseem Virji and she is horrible! Not only did she mess up my eye brows, she made me bleed twice and accused me of lying when I said something. She was hard on the thread, enough to make me tear up and stop her 3 times. I told her I just wanted her to clean them up and she ended up making them super thin, and one is shorter then the other. When she was "done" she didn't even clean me up, left all the torn up eyebrows all over my face, and walked away. I hate to get lotion for myself and clean it up. She was rude and didnt care about what I thought. All the other times I've been it was good, and the younger lady was great and took her time. read more

Eyebrow thread was $11 . Waited about 10 min or so. The older lady was nice but I've had better threading. She acted like there were more customers the way she hurried me along. I use to adore coming to this place when the twins worked here. Now it seems that they hired someone who rather come to work late and take long lunches than meet the needs of their clientele. To explain, on 8/23/2012 at 10am (when the malls opens) two women and I were waiting to get our eyebrows done hoping to beat the rush. At 10:30 there was still no one at the shop (see picture of closed store) so I decided to leave to run errands and come back later. So around 5:15PM give or take, I decided to come back to get my eyebrows done quickly before meeting my neighbor for dinner. Upon arrival I found a half open store with a note attached to the gate (again see picture). When I got there there were three women waiting...a half hour passed and there were literally seven women waiting outside the store with me (one left due to frustration). When Talia (not sure how to spell her name) finally showed up (again see picture) she didn't apologize for our wait she just acted like she had always been there, and proceeded to try to figure out who to take first. Every time I visit Pcola I often go into Brow Arts due to their excellent service and reputation, and I have never dealt with someone with such a bad work ethic, plus to add insult to injury, the girl that went before me ended up with uneven eyebrows (AGAIN see picture). Thankfully she had long bangs! To say the least after seeing the work that was done on her I figured I would just travel to Alabama to get my eyebrows done by someone with more skill, experience and that shows me that she/he wants by business by coming to work on time. This is my 4-5th time having service here and to be honest the only reason I keep coming back is; 1. Its at the mall which is convenient for when I'm there. 2. It's the only place around in Pensacola I know of that does threading. Every time I've been I've only see one person working. It cost $11 for your eyebrows and for $11 I've had much much better service from places all over the country. They do only clean up with a dry Kleenex and nothing to help tooth your skin beforehand. The lady that does mine is pretty good, she gets the shape right. Overall its not my favorite place but happens to be the only one around. read more

Was so excited to get my eyebrows threaded after months of plucking myself. I decided to give this place a try, and was so disappointed. My right eye brow was thinned out and given an odd shape. I was asked for approval before the woman started on my left, and let her know it was much thinner than I liked. Now I'm left with two different shapes, and am back to wondering why I always seem to end up paying people for bad work when I can do better myself. The person was kind, but there was only one person working with 2 other empty chairs and a lot of people to help. The couches they had were not comfy and were cracking everywhere. The brow threading was great and looked good after, but hurt the most I ever had...probably because the thread they are using is so thick. I went to the Brow Art 23 in Ft. Walton Beach, Santa Rosa Mall, and the lady made my eye brows so thin! I am a hairy person and I love my thick eye brows. The lady there just destroyed them. I left there looking like a chola. I was so upset. If you want shape and you want your brows to look nice and thick do not go here. If you like your eye brows thin than I highly recommend it. I ALWAYS leave a tip but I was just so upset that she made me look terrible I couldn't even leave her a dollar! read more

do not recommend. i went in to try the lash clusters and ONLY the last clusters. after getting in there i was told to get the clusters i had to have my eyebrows threaded after telling the lady i didn't want my eyebrows done she still proceeded to thread my eyebrows and it hurt worse than getting them waxed. after she threaded my eyebrows she then told me she was going to tint them and i told her i didn't want that either and she still did it anyway. it's 4 days later and my eyelashes have fallen off and my eyebrows look l like i haven't gotten them done in 2 weeks and are now orange. i'm HIGHLY disappointed. read more

If you like to have uneven, ridiculously thin and lopsided eyebrows, this is the place for you! Otherwise, I'd avoid it like the plague. I went in today and specifically said that I like my eyebrows on the thicker side, and that they really just needed a cleanup. She made my left one so crazy thin it's about a hair thick from my arch to the end, and its visibly shorter than the other. The right is slightly thicker, but still thinner than I expected. And after all that, she didn't even get all the extraneous little hairs. She probably spent three minutes tops, and was very rough. There was no one behind me, but she acted like the store was on fire. Such a disappointment. I won't be back. read more

I used to go to this place religiously. There were two twins who would thread my eyebrows beautifully. However, they left and started their own business in Destin. After them leaving, the owners had great difficulty finding good people. I went there two weeks ago and a lady completely cut my face. I am an employee who quit, and am here to tell you all the truth! Brow Art is nothing but a money hungry, illegal trap! They are NOT WORTH IT! I left because I was working over 40 hours every week, sometimes 60! Never got any overtime until I quit! They only want Indians, are racial, and do not want anyone smart working there! They sell fake licenses to Indian workers who never even went to school! I have nothing against indians, or any race. I felt sorry for my co-workers who were tricked into spending 1500 dollars for a piece of paper saying they went to school! I went to school and have my license, and felt like a babysitter for the other workers who I always found doing something unsanitary!. I felt used, harassed, and taken advantage of ! My first day, I kid you not, I had to clean a filthy unsanitary salon! The backroom had products and spilt chemicals all on the floor! There were droppings on the walls and floors! The front stations were full of mixed makeup and supplies, hair bands, clips, spilt products, bandages, and yes hair! I am an OSHA freak and I threw away sooo much filth it isn't even funny! I hated how the company would blame clients for just wanting something for free, when they really were taken for a ride! And don't get me started on how they take no pride in the art of hair removal! I think that it is more important for the client to be happy and completely satisfied than money! Seriously! !!! My advice to everyone, DO NOT EVER EVER GO TO BROW ART 23!! And if you do, watch them, ask to see for their LICENSE!!! It should be blue, with the Florida symbol on it and their bar code number which can be scanned to see if they are actually a face-specialist, or esthetician. Make sure they sanitize their hands, wear gloves, and give you the respect you are inclined! Trust me, they do not sanitize the chairs after each sweaty client! Please have them WIPE IT DOWN WITH ALCOHOL! And if they have an employee who is honest, cares and is licensed and does what is right, get her number! because she will be gone in two mo. tops! Geetha normally does my brows and does a beautiful job. I love coming here. If you've never had your brows threaded, don't wear makeup on your way in because you may tear up. The threading process kind of feels like tiny pricks on your brows. I have sensitive skin and decided to get my brows threaded to avoid possible irritation from wax. It doesn't take long at all. I recommend this place highly if you'd like to avoid the harsh tugging that comes with waxing. read more

My husband and I went to get our eyebrows threaded. I asked for a clean up. Usually when I get my eyebrows threaded and ask for a clean up they keep the natural shape. The young lady who did my eyebrows began with my right side and asked me to approve of it once she was done. I told her it was too thin. There wasn't much to do at this point than to make my other side look the same as my right. She finished and I ended up with two different shapes. Then my husband asked to get his done by another lady at the shop. She threaded his eyebrows and asked if he wanted to have a small patch on his cheekbone removed. She implied that it wouldn't cost him extra. While he was in the chair I paid for both myself and my husband. We were about to leave when the ladies said he owed $18 to our additional eyebrow service cost. I asked why and we were told because he had facial hair removed. As I was telling them it wasn't right to charge us for a service that was implied to be free of cost, they had already charged us. They didn't ask if there was another way to compensate us for the bad service. When I asked for a free service the next time we visited the mall, the lady that did my husband's eyebrows said that we had her word. If you do go here make sure all is set in stone and no additional services are offered without a total price! read more

If I could give negative stars I would!! Please do yourself a favor and don't go here! I recently moved to Pensacola and needed to find a new place to get my eyebrows threaded at. Not having many places to choose from I tried my luck here. Biggest mistake of my life. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded in Jacksonville for about a year now and they have been perfect. Really all I needed was a clean up and the shape did not need to be touched too much. Well, I come in and "the older lady", as everyone else in these reviews have referred to her as, was sitting behind the desk. She was completely rude from the beginning! No one else was there so she started on my eyebrows right away. I have very dark eyes brows and I like them pretty thick so I told her exactly what I wanted, just for them to be cleaned up and that I wanted to keep the shape and keep them thick. Well, as she was hacking away at my eyebrows she kept going on and on about how she's the best threader in town AND THEN she tells me my eyebrow shape is horrible!! Um, no, I don't think so!! She finally finishes and shoves a Kleenex in my face and walks away. I stand up, look in the mirror and start to cry! My perfect eyebrow shape was now no thicker than if she were to pick up a pen and draw a single line where my eyebrow hair use to be. They were literally 3 strands of hair thick. And so uneven!! I paid and walked out crying. I felt and for the two girls who walked in as she was finishing me up and looked on wide eyed as I examined my poor eyebrows with tears rolling down my face. I hope they took that as a cue to leave!! Further examination once I reached my car was that certain stray eyebrow strands didn't even get touched and there were strands that weren't pulled out completely and broken at the shaft.
