The owner of this establishment is the sweetest & most knowledgeable owner I've probably ever met. You can tell she really takes pride in her craft.. and it shows! I have not gotten my eyebrows professionally manicured since before the start of COVID 2020. Fast forward one year later and I'm not willing to enter your average salon with their average "brow person." I specifically sought threading because my brows needed some serious shaping. Let me start off with the positive- my first visit for a combo service of eyebrows and upper lip threading about a month ago was great. Knowledgeable and pleasant owner. As a first time customer I was also given a discount (with a reminder) so I ended up paying $27. My second visit was a rip off. Same service, clean up of the brows IMO. But, was charged for reshaping and was billed $36. That's outrageous!! Will be on a look out for a new place. read more

This place makes me laughhhh. I have been coming here since I was a teenager on and off. I have seen the salon go through many artist and finally end with just the owner after the COVID lockdown. I realize her prices have severely increased, but although I found it to be way out of budget I still would make the trip to aventura just for her services. (Although I would get a different price every time) I always ask for a thick brow as my hair is curly and long and grows rapidly; and each time I would get a different result sometimes being way more thin than I wanted to. Yet still, I kept on going here because to me she was the best in the business. HOWEVER. I will not be retuning here ever again after inquiring about a previous artist who worked with her and was rumored to have their own salon. When I asked about her she said the business had closed down because they couldn't survive in the market and they weren't as good. I thought it was a strange thing to say (and was only asking out of curiosity.. not to change locations!) a week later I saw a friend post about the brow artist I had inquired about only to learn that not only was her business still running but it was thriving only a few blocks away!! The audacity to lie was so outrageous, it's clear the owner and wife (who is the only current brow artist) only care about their greedy ways and not about their actual clients! Thanks to Anarkali Salon I've officially converted to eyebrow threading. Years ago I was told how "painful" it is, but if you're ok with hot wax on your face and having it yanked, this is nothing on the pain scale. Plus, I've had the misfortune of having skin pulled off with the max. Ladies, you know the drill. So, being that this place is right in the same plaza as many of the Aventura "staples" I figured I'd give it a whirl. There's no need for an appointment, you just walk right in. Both times I've been taken care of immediately - and it only takes about 5 minutes (or less). Plus the cost is really reasonable. (Costs about $10 for eyebrows) The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because of the attitude of some of the workers. I understand this job may not be super exciting, but they could at least smile once in a while. However, considering I love the end result I will continue to keep coming back. read more

After my experience at Anarkali, I have decided to be extra thrifty and take care of my own eyebrows! From the other reviews, it seems pretty hit or miss, and I guess my visit was one of those misses. When I sat down for my appointment, the eyebrow technician looked at me and said, "Why are your eyebrows like that?" I have naturally sparse eyebrows and I did not appreciate the way she said that! I let her know that I preferred my eyebrows pretty natural, not too thin, and that I would rather her just clean them up instead of shaping them. It seemed that she hadn't listened at all, because she gave me these teeny tiny lines for eyebrows that took weeks to grow out. Also, I realized that threading is one of the most painful experiences ever. Note that while you can pay with credit card, only cash is accepted for tips. This might be a place for you if your eyebrows are easy to shape. I know that my sparse and light eyebrows are not the easiest to work with. read more

I absolutely love this place. I went by there today to get my eyebrows done and it wasn't busy. I signed in and was quickly served. I told her that this was my first time and she explained what to expect and put me at ease. There is some pain, similar to waxing. But I can't really describe it. Perhaps I would compare it to getting a tattoo, not the same intensity but the irritation of something going over your skin. I love my brows and will definitely will be back about 2 weeks. Its been 1 year of coming here to visit Daniela or Sharon. Both girls are talented, friendly and hard working. I'd suggest to make an appointment here so it limits the amount of time you need to wait because generally there are many walk ins. The only thing I would change about this place is that its extremely unfair that the girls answer the phone, do your eyebrows then are expected to check you out on the register while having tons of consumers waiting... I would suggest hiring a receptionist so that the ladies aren't running around like crazy. Love this place otherwise. read more

Went here to get my eye brows and the owner ended up doing my brows and she completely disregarded my instructions to just do a clean up and to keep the thickness because I spent 6 months growing out my eyebrows she ended up shaping it thin and cutting off the ends. I have been coming to this salon for over a year and have always loved the way my brows came out. About two and a half weeks ago I walk in and the young lady doing my brows tells me I'll be charged for a "reshape" because my eyebrows had been so grown out. I agreed, payed the 19$ dollars as opposed to the 15$ for a "clean up", and went on my way. I absolutely loved the way they turned out and I received multiple compliments on them. Fast forward two and a half weeks. I walk in this time for a "clean up" expecting to walk out with the same shape because hasn't been long since I last did my eyebrows. It was somebody different than last time doin them and I ENDED UP WITH AWFUL PENCIL THIN eyebrows in comparison to what they were before. She told me that they had grown out so much since the last time and had to be reshaped to "compliment my eyelashes" She took it upon herself to remove so much hair from my eyebrows so she could charge me a reshape fee and make the extra money.
