It's been 3 days since I went to Brow Studio 7 (located in Memorial City Mall) for threading and the fact that I'm still unhappy about the outcome of my eyebrows should tell you that this review won't be 5 star! I decided to get my eyebrows done here ONLY because I didn't have time to get to my lady that I normally go to in the Harwin District, and since I was already at the mall, I figured I would chance it. Big mistake! Before the lady started on me, I specifically told her to keep my brows full, but shaped and defined. Assuming she understood, I laid back in the chair and let her do her thing. When she finished and handed me the mirror to take a look, I was torn- absolutely devastated at what I saw! She had done the total opposite of what I asked. My eyebrows were thin as a freakin rail! After paying the lady I quickly made a dash to the mall restroom which was right beside the brow studio to take a second look. Hoping my eyes had deceived me, I quickly came to the realization that what I was seeing was indeed a HOT MESS!!! All my eyebrow maintenance gone down the drain within minutes and I was left facing the fact that I would be sporting pencil thin eyebrows for the next few weeks! Horrific, I tell ya! Thank goodness for brow makeup and eyebrow brushes because that's the only thing that's going to save me until these bad boys grow back to their original shape! Walking around with paper thin eyebrows is not the biz! I can't and I won't. On a somewhat "positive" note, the studio is nice and clean and their prices are decent but the threading skills- nuh uh!!! If you decide to come here and you're ticky about your brows like me, I suggest you be very specific in telling them how you want them done and bring a picture. I can't speak for the other ladies that work here, I just know I did not like my results from the lady who did mine and don't plan on taking another chance on this place. Eyebrows are everything to the face and when that is altered in the worst way, it's kind of a big deal! Lesson learned: go with what you know when it comes to beauty maintenance. Came here one day since I was already at Memorial Mall, my mustache and brows were starting to look real bad. My mustache started resembling to a 13 year old boy's peach fuzz LOL. I asked one of the employees to give me a facial, and in my opinion, she did a 4.0/5.0 job. The only reason I say its a 4 star instead of 5 is because she left SOME small hairs on my mustache, it was barely noticeable but I'm a perfectionist. She took them off when I noticed though, def would recommend this place if youre nearby. read more

I used to get my eyebrows threaded back in California when I lived there, so I was really excited to find this place when I first moved here a few years ago. If I don't thread my eyebrows regularly, I have what I refer to as the "Burt eyebrow," like Burt and Ernie from Sesame Street. However, the eyebrow threading is a hit or miss here depending on who you get. I have had 2 bad threadings done here, each by two different middle aged women. One lady messed up on one eyebrow by accidentally removing too much hair on one of the arches and the other pressed the thread so hard on my face that my forehead and eye area were raw, very red, and I got little bumps everywhere. My eyebrows looked fine, but my skin did not. However, I'm still giving this place 3 stars because they have one employee who does a fantastic job and I always go to her. I would give her 4 stars, but since this review is for the entire shop, I had to give 3 stars. I would probably give this place a 1 or 2 star if it weren't for her. Shireen (I'm sure I'm spelling her name incorrectly) is really fast with her threading and she does a great job. I never have any problems with the way she shapes my eyebrows and she doesn't make them too thin. The best thing about her is that she doesn't press the thread down on my skin very hard, so I can usually walk out and do some shopping afterwards without looking like a freak. She only works on Thursday and Friday evenings though and also Saturday and possibly Sunday. If you're thinking about getting your eyebrows threaded here, I would recommend waiting for her or calling ahead and making sure she is working before you go in. Otherwise you risk having some wonky eyebrows or skin issues. The shop is located near Dillard's and there is a parking lot right next to their store entrance. read more

Shireen is the ONLY factor considered when giving this review. She is a top notch employee and for that I feel that this establishment deserves a 5/5 review. If Shireen is not there when I stop by, I will not allow any of the other ladies to provide me with any service. The few times that I have given the other ladies a chance I have gotten cut/pinched or received poor results. In my opinion, Shireen is the epitome of a good employee, she is friendly and customer service oriented, is realistic and honest in terms of expectations, has a very quick, soft hand and is ALWAYS there when she says she will be there. If Shireen were no longer at Brow Studio 7 I would no longer give them my business. read more

I am tired of the treatment I get at this place. Maybe because I am latina they always treat me like I am bothering them. I always tip, even when they don't listen to what I wanted. Today was the last straw, they took my credit card and said that It was denied, the bank told me it was a lie because they can see the charge and then the reversing of the charge. After I paid cash and tipped, she did not even so much as say good bye, much less thank you. I keep going to this place because it's close to my house but I do not deserve this and I am sure I can find somebody else even if I have to drive a little further. Like other reviewers, I only go (went) to this place out of laziness and convenience. There are no decent eyebrow threading places on my side of town!! (GOOF/Heights). I wouldn't say this place is cheap because the price is completely in line, if not higher, than eyebrow threading places on hillcroft (which is where I will be going from now on). My eyebrows are over plucked and I have been leaving them alone and growing them out since March. I was even talked into buying some cheap goo at Brow 7 to make them grow better (it didn't help at all). So fast forward to me coming in to this place this morning-I was the second customer there. I explained to some new girl that I'm growing out my eyelashes and to just clean them up. She repeated what I said and seemed to understand. Well, the end result was eyebrows thinner than they were in March. They're pencil thin now!!!! I'm livid! I've never been particularly thrilled with the results at this place, but this time they were horrific! I voiced my disappointment, but both of the girls just stared at me and the one who did my eyebrows kept repeating "ma'am I just cleaned them up". Even when I showed her the redness directly under the remaining hair indicating that she pulled hair out of that spot. Don't mess with a girl's eyebrows. If my stepdaughter wasn't with me, I would have let the expletives fly! read more

Super dissatisfied! I have to wait for my eyebrows to grow in because they have been butchered. For one, overpriced. Second, I have missed spots where brow should've been removed and spots that were supposed to remain untouched have absolutely no hair. Frustrating!! read more

Would never go back there ever!!! I asked for them to clean up my eyebrows leave the same shape, and thickness. When she was done not only did she cut my skin every where, she made them really thin just barely any eyebrows, one arch and the other round, and in one of them she took so much from the starting point is the worst thing ever please dont go to them !!!!! read more

It is worst place ever! I always thread my eyebrows every month in another place but because i was already in the mall i went to this place which is: 1- the brows shape is not good. 2- next morning i woke up and the area around my eye is red and itchy that means the lady hurt me with the thread in places that has no hair! 3- very very expensive comparing to other places. 4- the ladies are not friendly at all. This is my 3rd time here and Nimmie always does a great job. I have been here one other time about a year ago and I was not impressed they did an ok job, I never went back until recently and Nimmie did my brows and they come out amazing every time. The only bad thing is she works late in the afternoon and I can't always make it in when I want. But I will definitely return. I highly recommend Nimmie she does a good job. read more

Don't go hear whatever you do! Even if you're in a time crunch...it's not worth it! I just had my brows threaded on Friday and by Tuesday I had cellulitis on one of my brows; a result of a tiny cut from the thread. Needed to get antibiotics and antibiotic cream. This place needs to step up their hygiene practices. I saw no one wash their hands or use any antiseptic. Save yourself from a horrible infection and don't go here! read more

I am very picky about where i get threaded. I tried several places in Houston before settling on my threader Madhu, over at Brown Studio 7 in the memorial city mall. I always get most of my face threaded and Madhu is always detailed and thorough. I feel 1000% better after leaving her chair each and every time. I highly recommend her!!! read more

Don't ever go here!! I grew out my eyebrows for 5 months went here for them to cleaned up and give them that full shape and they made my eyebrows very thin like if they were drawn on!! I was furious since it took me forever to grow them back!!! This happen around the holidays 2017. Well I thought maybe it was the lady so I decided to take my daughter today and give them a second chance and they did the same thing to daughter in which she has naturally thick eyebrows and they made them look all thin...starting from the beginning to the brow to the end, the shape of the eyebrow is the same so looks like a straight line!! No arch no nothing and my daughter has never plucked her eyebrows so they can't say her eyebrows don't grow correctly. Wish I can post a before and after picture to prove and show you their lack of skills. Trust me don't go here...either they don't what it means to clean up or they don't know what the hell their doing. My daughters eyebrows look so bad she had to cut bangs just to cover them. Only good thing about this place is that is nice and clean. BUT IF YOU WANT YOUR EYEBROWS THIN THIS IS THE PERFECT SPOT BECAUSE THE RESULTS DON'T LOOK NOTHING LIKE THEIR DISPLAYS EVEN EIRH FULL GROWN EYEBROWS THEY MAKE THEM THIN. I only come to thread my eyebrows when Shireen is here. She's the only one that does exactly what you ask for, and takes her time with the threading. Do not go to anyone else, ONLY SHIREEN!! The other ladies there only do what they think looks best. Other than that, the place is very nice and welcoming. And the price is very good. read more

I have never gotten my brows threaded before, but I'll definitely be back. If you're not picky, this place is great. The lady was an oldish lady, and was kind of rough, but she was precise and did a very good job. I'm extremely happy with how they turned out! It was quick, probably 5 minutes, and it was only $10. I don't understand the bad reviews on this place, they were nice and made me feel comfortable. I was skeptical to come here after reading the reviews, but it was actually the complete opposite of all the bad stuff people have said. I recommend this to anyone. read more

LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS PLEASE AND PLEASE READ MY EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!!!! I ignored all these bad reviews because a friend recommended it to me and her brows looked very nice, but holy freakin cow i am so dumb. To start off this old woman who didn't even speak english sat me down in a chair and just started threading them without even asking me what shape i wanted or anything. Then, this old lady screwed up my brows so bad I ran out of the mall and actually cried my eyes out, my eyebrows are really important to me and i had been growing them out so i could get an arch for this SUPER IMPORTANT DANCE I HAVE COMING UP. After she finished threading them she handed me a mirror and i realized that she made me bleed....... she then proceeded to tint them without even asking me.... Now one of my brows starts in alaska and the other one starts in florida, this woman also CUT A HUGE DIVOT OUT OF MY EYEBROW WITH SCISSORS AND THEN SHE JUST CUT THEN END OFF THE OTHER ONE...... OK, so i know eyebrows are supposed to be sisters and not twins but mine look like they're from freaking different planets. I actually hate this place with a burning passion please do yourself a favor and never go here, and if u go anyway can u set it on fire for me. read more

Me and my daughter went there today. I had a great experience - nicely done without tearing out your skin. The person who did my daughter's eyebrows were the worst ever. They were uneven, way too thin, and ruined them. The girl said that she did the eyebrows for the natural shape and knew it was uneven. WHAT? That is not ok. I asked the woman who did mine, Shireen, to "try" to fix my daughter's eyebrows. The manager was there so I talked to him and he was unsympathetic and gave me a whopping $2 discount. Are you kidding? It will take weeks to repair the damage. He should have given a total refund of $12 for the ruined brows. No tip for the awful girl, but seriously? I have been going there for a couple of years and just be careful who you go to. I have not seen her before so maybe she was new but certainly untrained. I always explain to them what I want and to some it does not matter - they will do what they want to do. So, go to Shireen or run away. read more
