Staff is always nice. The quality of the beary beat wash (best wash you can get) is okay. Sometimes it doesn't always get my car clean... even after going through a couple times. If you are neurodivergent and find navigating confusing traffic patterns or tight parking anxiety-inducing, I would recommend skipping this specific Brown Bear location. While the car wash quality and value are standard, the layout is incredibly frustrating. The location is situated at a busy junction of three roads, making the entry point unintuitive. I struggled to figure out how to enter the lot properly without blocking traffic. - The Problem: There is effectively only one way to enter the actual car wash lane. - My Experience: I initially pulled in from the wrong side, hit a curb, and had to pull back into traffic. I attempted another route, only to find myself blocked by vacuums and exiting cars. I had to merge back into heavy traffic and try a third time to get it right. Unless you are comfortable with high-stress driving maneuvers, you may want to find a different car wash. This was one of the better car wash places that I've been to. There was no wait for my wash but I really appreciated the free dryers and free microfiber towels to use and return. They offer a membership or you can pay for a single wash. Definitely will be back! read more

This review is based on my numerous experiences driving my vehicle through the tunnel for a Beary Clean Wash (currently priced at $11.99). I've never paid for any services here or any Brown Bear (largest car wash network in Washington state) locations as I've always leveraged the free annual Customer Appreciation car wash day as well as coupons received from my dealership. I will say that I appreciate the staff for being proactive and asking if I want my rear SUV wipers taped down to prevent any potential damages each time. All experiences have been uneventful and they have all gotten the job done mostly to my satisfaction. If I had to pick one area for improvement, I would say that the drying process can be more effective to avoid customers having to manually dry the vehicle (e.g., water spots) upon exiting the tunnel wash. Additionally, the lines can spill out onto Rainier Ave causing some back up traffic on the main road. Out of all other locations, I have chosen to return to this particular one due to its convenient location in Renton. read more

With their affordable ($7) basic wash, free "bear freshener", quick service, friendly employees, and high powered vacs they pretty much knock it out of the park when it comes to a safe, reliable place to get my new car shined up bright and fresh. I also love that they offer a deal for unlimited washes for $19.95 a month (my local car washes up here in Bham look at my like I'm crazy when I even suggest such a thing)! The Brown Bear car wash on Rainer is really good. They have taken my antenna off and taped down my rear wiper on each visit.

I moved down from San Diego a few months ago and definitely not used to my car looking so out of sorts. I'm used to being able to wash my car on a weekly basis and have a beautiful looking car to top. Ever since I've been down here, the rain and the snow has Prevented me from washing my car, my car has it look like poop most the time so when I came across their car washing, I was like yes this is definitely what I need and the monthly membership saves you money. Would love to see full service, but I know that's hard to expect out here nowadays when a lot of people don't want to work, but the car wash is excellent and I have nothing to complain about. read more

I've been going to Brown Bear car wash for a while and Andre was the first one that has ever told me about taping down my rear wiper. He was very professional, friendly, and helpful. I was highly impressed by him. During my interaction I saw him assist several other vehicles with speed and efficiency. I was highly impressed by him and his diligence to the job. I'm literally writing this review outside the car wash, immediately after my wash. The attendant on 5/13/22 was a misogynistic, unprofessional douchebag. He was hanging out with his friends and showing them the inside of the machinery as I entered the wash. He motioned for me to reverse to realign my tires on the track (I have off-road tires), started FREAKING out, came up to my window, laughed in my face (I wish I was joking) said "There's a car behind you" and held a sign in my face and pointed at it and said "Do you see this sign? You need to go FORWARD" and I said "You were pointing the sign to the right though?" and he said "Yeah, you need to go forward and to the right!" which is what I was already doing. I will not come here again because of this guy and will tell everyone about my experience here as a woman, being made to feel as though I don't know how to drive my own car. This is a recognized car wash company in the Washington area. I thought I would give it a try because i haven't gotten my car washed since I bought it. After the car wash was done there was still prominent dirt on the back of my car where they were suppose to scrub. Best car wash in WA. I take my cars there at least once a week. These reviews by others are just so bad when I hear you haven't washed your car since you bought it and it left streaks ?? That is hilarious. Another has bird droppings but pays attention to his car. Well when you let it sit in the sun for a week guess what ? Those will not come out in a car wash or even 2. I see these people while driving every day and when you have so much dirt on your car that you see fingerprints from last year guess what ? ? ? You might want to wash it more often. This is a good car wash for people who maintain their vehicles, not for people who do not. read more

If you just need to stop for a quick wash and air freshener (very cute, and smells great!) no judgement here, they will take care of you for a cool $7. You can add services in their tunnel, but I love the ability to do-it-yourself deep clean in their parking lot. They provide clean, damp terry towels, so you can clean EVERYTHING, and they have a low-cost vacuum for all the crumbs. read more

Like that they have a scanner as you drive through to detect your pass for the car wash. This lifts the boom to allow you entry. No need to wait for an attendant to scan the inside of your car door. This is the location next door to Starbucks. This location has the overhead scanner at the automated pay station if you have a membership so you don't have to open your car door for an attendant. This is a good standard drive through car wash. I would give this location 5 stars if the attendants were more proactive about doing the pre-scrub and hitting the bird poop with their manual brush before the drive through. I was in this car wash on Sunday afternoon. I had stopped at a more convenient location prior to arriving here, at my old standby. I have been a Brown Bear customer for at least 30 years. My first choice was a diseaster so I went over to Rainier. While I had to wait, being it was a beautiful Sunday afternoon I finally got to Robi. I explained to him that I had a lot of bugs on my grille and would appreciate his attention. Then I remembered that my rear window sometimes doesn't come out too clean without some additional help. My car is perfect. I had traveled from Arizona back to Seattle and my car was filthy. I purchased a bearry best because I didn't really expect much. Thank you Robi for a job well done. Really streaky windows, soap still left behind, and the two bird poop spots I was trying to get rid of was still there (and it's usually gone after going through a car wash) And the worst part? Brown Bear in Renton (off Rainier) is awesome, today I ran my car through and it came out with this weird residue left on it, I assumed was wax, so I circled back around and talked to Daniel (the smiley guy who guides you in like a fighter onto a carrier) and he figured it was a hydraulic leak, the wash was stopped so other cars wouldn't get slimed and he asked Abel his assistant to hand wash my car for me to get the grease off. This young man (not yet 20) did it with a smile and was genuinely happy to do it, he showed excellent work ethic and together they made today's visit pretty awesome, even fun, despite the slight delay.
