The guy working seemed pretty knowledgable about the bottled liquor and was quick to answer any questions they had. He gave us prompt and courteous service. They also had a cooler with wines and a separate cooler that actually had some steaks and cheese. My husband and I joked about it being a one stop shop for Valentine's day! It did lose one star because it was a bit dusty in there. It could use a good cleaning.

My advice to you is to hit this place up on a Saturday afternoon, order your cocktail of choice then just observe the regulars sitting at the bar around you. I didn't want to order anything heavy so I decided on the Brussels Sprouts and a cup of the Chicken/Andouille Gumbo. The Brussels were crispy and had a nice soy glaze to cap it off. They garnished it with some peeled scallions which gives a nice finish. I'm a sucker for Brussels Sprouts; if they're on the menu, I'm very likely gonna order them. The gumbo was pretty good, had a tomato richness to it. I forgot what my friend ordered; probably cause I had too many martinis. It's about a 10-15 minute drive from Hammond but it's worth it.
