Really cute little place in downtown Hammond. Simply lit and cool atmosphere. They have a full bar, big screen tv's over said bar, and music playing in the background. Service was top notch, friendly and knowledgeable. Food was good as well. The pulled pork tots are NOT to be missed! The Monte Christo was good, but the cheese was a bit overpowering. The Ribeye Cheesesteak sandwich was also really as per the Hubby (I don't like peppers so I passed). The Roast beef Debris Tots were good but certainly not as good as the pulled pork ones. There are lots of sandwich options, tots, soup, salads, pastas, flatbread, burgers, Po Boys, etc on the menu. Honestly they all sound good! All in all, a nice place to chill, eat and/or have a drink. They have a new location picked on the large wall map inside each month, from which they add specials, which sounds really cool as well. So, I guess we'll have to keep coming back! NOTE: Check hours!! They are open Thursday - Sunday, and offer Limited Menu Brunch on Saturday & Sunday.

Love the Scelfo Salad (grilled salmon and greens) and the cheesy shrimp sandwich on garlic rubbed sourdough bread.

Pretty dope Italian spot in Hammond! OpenTable brought me and fellow teammates here for a couple…read moreteam dinners. Located in the downtown area of Hammond, this may be my favorite restaurant in the area and for good reason! The interior has the right amount of lighting to give an intimate feel and there's plenty of indoor seating where tables can be pushed together for large parties. The bar area is also comfy if you're looking to pop in for a glass of wine or a cocktail. Speaking of which, there's plenty of wine by the glass and featured bottle wines. It doesn't have as expansive of a bottle wine menu like other Italian spots but they don't need to as they offer about a dozen wines each from the USA and from the Italy/Spain/Argentina regions. So you'll find whatever you need to suit your tastes. And then there's cocktails. All the classics (Cosmopolitan, Manhattan, Old Fashioned) are here with some Italian favorites like the Negroni. The popular ones amongst us were the Limoncello Spritz (think of a vodka sparkling lemonade), the Espresso Martini, and the Basil Cucumber Gimlet. Tasty and pretty presentations! As for eats, the shareables that are must-orders are the Italian Meatballs (served in polenta w/ spicy tomato sauce), the Calamari, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, and Caprese Salad. These always made the table whenever we were here; the meatballs and brussels sprouts being the ones people couldn't stop eating. The turtle soup is also a good first course if you're going light. It was my first time having turtle soup and I enjoyed the heck out of it! For pastas/entrees, it depends how heavy you want to go. The pastas that we loved were the Fusilli and Casarecce. The Fusilli has a cajun spicy tomato base w/ shrimp, italian sausage, basil, and mushrooms; an excellent combination of ingredients for a delicious pasta dish. The Casarecce is more simple using a parmeson garlic cream sauce and a pan-fried breaded chicken breast on top. For entrees, the pork osso buco, duck breast, and diver scallops were all wonderful. The osso buco especially being super tender was a crowd-pleaser. They also have a filet mignon special w/ a fried potato cake and asparagus garnish finished in a red-wine demi glaze; this special was ordered by several people each time and had all of us oohhh'ing and ahhh'ing every time it was delivered. The filet is super tender and the potato cake is a great complimentary side to it. For dessert, we usually share the house cheesecake which has chocolate chips and caramel with a cookie crust; a perfect way to finish off the meal. That's if we save room for dessert! This spot is a must-visit and a place we plan to frequent whenever we're in Hammond. They also have a lot of gluten-free options in case you have a gluten intolerance. Do yourself a favor and check this spot out; you won't regret it!

It was a little odd, we were the only customers in the restaurant the entire time we were there! Yes, it was Easter weekend, but it just felt odd at 7:00 on a Saturday night and we were the only ones there. Any way...we get seated at our table and ordered crab cakes for an appetizer. For the price, we were expecting more than one tiny crab cake. It was just ok. We were served bread with their signature flavored butter which was good. For dinner I ordered the filet cooked medium and my husband ordered the trout special. My steak was decent, slightly undercooked for my liking, but good flavor. My husband's trout was the smallest piece of fish I've ever seen on someone's plate at a restaurant. He enjoyed it but was still hungry after his meal. We opted not to get dessert since we were the only customers in the restaurant we felt like the staff were waiting for us to leave. That may not have been the case but that's how we felt. Maybe we picked a bad time to try this restaurant so we will give them another try. I would say this a great place for a special occasion if you're looking for ambience. I wouldn't go there with expectations of great food.

It came with a Peter jelly that was tasty and helped, but it was very thin. Service was quite slow. There were a handful of other 2 person parties inside. A couple already had food, so I'm unsure why it took the period of time it did to get served. However, when my Dish arrived, it was delicious. I ordered the Chicken Angelique, with the sauce on the side. The sauce was a high end sausage & white gravy type sauce. Paired with the DELICIOUS Grit Cake, the Chicken and the fried Sweet Potato Hash it was very good! I was not a fan of the Spinach flavors this dish. I normally love Spinach, but this was not a fav for me, so I removed it from my dish. But the dish I'm general was delicious. The husband had the Chicken Maurepas. He said it was "Okay. Nothing to brag about." I tried it and wasn't a fan. Our Server was nice, ( but again, service was slow), the location had a nice atmosphere and was pleasant.

She specifically wanted a burger from an expert Burger establishment and knows this place well and its reputation for great burgers, which is why I'm a bit disappointed to leave this review tbh Long story short, her burger that was ordered medium rare, first comes out basically well done or medium well at best. She is one of those people who would literally eat a raw burger vs an over cooked one, so she is forced to send the over cooked dry burger back asking for once again medium rare. I mentioned to the waitress to that my friend would prefer an under cooked, rather than over cooked burger. so if anything the cook could err on the side of rare. Well he sure did err on the rare side. The burger comes out the 2nd time...and its raw. No way it was even rare. I eat rare burgers, no way I would eat that. Tell me you can't cook a burger without telling me you can't cook a burger. I mean just because you miss the mark cooking it the first time dont compound the problem by sending the next one out wrong in the opposite direction. Great atmosphere and service. Very surprised about the cook being unable to cook the burger to order as requested. Several trips here that have been great so I'm going to be generous here today and give them four stars.
