My co-workers and I had our Christmas party here the other night and it was TERRIBLE. We waited over an hour and a half for our food and it was lukewarm at best when it arrived. Omg YES. I found this place about a year ago on the last day of a conference. Before I discovered this place I had went to the drive-through shack style which to me, was meh. on the last day I told my coworker that we had to find something better and we did! They roast their own beans and advertise that they are 1fair-trade and organic. The flavor they are able to coax out of the coffee is exquisite and the time, effort, and care show through in every sip. read more

Stopped in based on the reviews and was not disappointed! Had a hot caramel latte and was pleasantly surprised they offered soy and almond milk as dairy alternatives in their drinks! I went with almond milk and was delighted with the light nutty flavor it added in to the already perfectly roasted coffee. This coffee is smooth yet robust if that makes sense. The owners served me with laid back yet very polite interaction. Apparently they are the only roasters in the area, but you don't get the vibe of snobby coffee house folk from the owners or the clientele! Though we're on a local food/farm to table/craft-brewing oriented journey, we're learning that "local" doesn't necessarily equate to "good," though it more than often does mean quirky or quaint, and usually "nice." On the other hand, sometimes local means both kind people with a mission and really really good coffee. Being "West" also means they get to have some real fun with their branding. I liked the cowboy-themed packaging of the Brown Sugar Coffee Roastery and their coffees are FairTrade USA certified too! Normally I don't go for dark roasts, but I'm going to give this a try. I'll definitely be coming back here the next time I visit Riverton. The real deal. I've lived all over and this is some of the best coffee. They know what they are doing. Magic in every roast. My only criticism is that if you buy a pound of coffee you should get a free cup of whatever's on drip - especially if you have your own mug. Most roasters do this? I paid for both. read more

We went in for some coffee and brunch. Me and my girlfriend got great coffee. My sandwich was pretty good but my girlfriend's food was for some reason terribly salty. It tasted like somebody spilled salt in the filling they used. She couldn't eat more than 2 bites of it. The waitress dismissed it by saying the item comes really salty and said that even the chef Confirmed it was gonna be this salty. My girlfriend is never fussy about food but she didn't like how the waitresses just dismissed her by saying it is what it is. The waitresses also pressed us to give our orders as soon as we sat down. We hadn't even looked at the menu. She kept standing there and looking at us like she won't give us a min to look at the menu. She looked rushed, and in no mood to wait a min. Overall, the food was good. Terrible customer service from that one server. Could be because there's only 2 servers to tend to such a busy place l. read more

Love this place to death. Would 100% recommend to everyone I meet. I go fairly frequently and know the staff. Except as of late there has been a new addition to the staff. I don't have any personal issues with this person. However I don't think it's very professional to come yell at other coworkers with a store full of customers. I felt very embarrassed for everyone involved and everyone watching. It was an awkward situation that should have never happened, at least in the public eye. It got worse when everything she was yelling about was wrong and had to be pointed out to her by another coworker that wasn't even working. What a complete coffee oasis in an otherwise food desert. The beans are roasted by the owner on site and most are organic and fair trade. The proprietor, Aaron, was there with his parents, all co-owners in this business. They were all lovely and accommodating, and Aaron made us each a mean pour-over of his Brazilian and Oaxacan. I liked the Brazilian more but the Oaxacan was tasty also. Fingers crossed this place takes off--it should!!! read more
