i took two dress to ruby clean to have the bra cup taking out and press, the dress still had the…read moretags on them when i took them because i told them to leave my tags on all items. when i got the dresses back the bra cups was out the lining on one of the dresses was below the hem of the dress. both dresses was damage one of the dresses had spots all over it and it look like they had went from the back to take the bra cups out. both dress was destroyed. so i call and talk with the manager of the ruby cleaner in charlottesville virgibia on pantop. he was so rude and nasty to me after that i gave him a piece of my mind, because i learn that the customer is alway right but he might well said i was liar.so make a long story short he said he would clean one of the dress that had spots in the front and reimburse my alteration fee back to me . but he change his mind on the alteration fee . call me and told me to pick up my dresses and after all of that they took all of my tags off my dresses. so i want to let everybody know that do not take your clothes to any of the rudy's cleaner in charlottesville virginia or anywhere because they do a terrible job. i lost over $425.00 and my dresses was custom made and nothing cheap about them. they were beautiful dress. i brought one for mother day which i didn't get to wear and another one for another occasion. please be very careful about your clothes to going to ruby clean. i was very, very disappointed.i usually take my business to skyline cleaners in charlottesville virginia they are great!!! but the manager of rudy cleaner need to have anger management classesto know how to talk to peoples.

After reading the generally bad reviews on Rudy's and hearing some other bad things about them via…read moreword-of-mouth, I was pleasantly surprised by their service. The staff at the desk were polite during both visits. They were FAST and I was able to pick up my two items at 3 pm the next day, even though I was an hour early. Although my clothes weren't particularly soiled when I brought them, I think they did an acceptable job of cleaning and pressing them, and the paper tags were stapled into the tags of the shirt and the dress, NOT the fabric itself! Hooray! The only negative comment I have is the expense. My rayon/nylon work dress cost almost $11 to clean, whereas it cost less than half that in a northern VA dry cleaner. The dress shirt was pretty standard cost, a little over $5. My friend graciously drove me to the store to drop off my clothes, but it turned out it was just as easy to take the UTS bus down JPA. Although I picked Rudy's because it was pretty convenient, I won't hesitate to go there again (provided there's good service in the future!) when I need to have clothes dry-cleaned in Charlottesville.

It was nearby the Hampton Inn Charlottesville India. Parking was adequate, but they did get busy on a Sunday morning and most spaces filled. For rookies when entering you go to the right wall and purchase a wash card. A nice staffer assisted me. Then head over to vending to get detergent, softer and dryer sheets. The business is loaded with equipment which makes it seem small. There are a few tables and stools to sit. Also a few folding tables. The machines are Electrolux and worked great! I washed a sheet for my daughter in just under a hour. No issues. Before departing a customer picked up her laundry washed by staff and he even carried it to her car. That elevated my review. A 3.5 seems perfect, but rounding up with excellent service that was not expected.

I put this review on Google and thought I'd put it here also…read more.. Dropped off a few sets of bed-sheets on Saturday, my first visit, and gotta say they will do more of my laundry. Bianca, hope I spelled it right, was just a gem! Very pleasant and helpful in explaining my options and when they would be ready. WOW, excellent service and laundry was better than I could do it. Lots of cars in the parking lot, and still plenty of washers/dryers available for DIYers. Even though my drive will take me 35minutes one-way, I am going to make it a habit to do all of my laundry at ELC! Now I go there every week! (not in my other review) Well Done!
