I ordered online and left explicit directions for the delivery to call recipients phone when they arrived, they did not. i was supposed to be notified when plant was delivered, i was not. shopify is stuck on the previous day saying it is being made, its 7:30pm the next day and no one knows if it has been delivered. 108.00 down the tubes. will never use Brown's again. They also use Shopify for their online website and Shopify sells your email and your credit card info is not safe with them, as they get hacked and let scammers use their services as well. Brown's was my favorite and go-to flourist when they were on south tacoma way and ive been using them since 2012, but I will never use them again. Do yourself a favor and find someone else for your Tacoma flourist. read more

The purpose of this review is not to speak negatively about this business or anyone in it but simply to share my experience and hopefully prevent others from having similar experiences. I came in on 6/20 and flipped through their standard booklet of arrangements. Nothing grabbed my eye. It was all very commercial and plain. I would have loved to have been asked some questions such as "what type of flowers are you looking for?" "What colors do you like." "How big would you like it to be." There was none of that. I eventually decided on a modest bouquet that was listed at $75 I told the young lady working that although there were lilies in the picture, I do not want any lilies. The person I'm buying these flowers for does not like lilies. Please don't include them in the arrangement. She acknowledged and told me they would be ready the next day at 11am. I get there to pick them up at 11 and was not greeted by anyone. They all just looked at me as if to say "what do you want." After I say hello and ask how they're doing I tell them I'm here to pickup an arrangement I ordered yesterday. The bring it out, AND....you guessed it. There's lilies in the arrangement, Peruvian lilies not the traditional star gazers but nonetheless I specifically mentioned not to include lilies of any kind. When confronted about it the young lady mentioned she thought I was only referring to the star gazers (uhhh no I specifically mentioned do not include any lilies. The person I'm getting it for really hates lilies) not a big deal to me, but it was a simple request that was not honored. I told them "We'll need to do something about this." They were kind enough to substitute some roses...begrudgingly. The end product is of subpar quality at best. Some of the flowers are already dropping pedals/dying and the arrangement is lacking in spots. For the price I paid I expected much better quality. To be completely transparent the flowers at the Saturday market for $20 or $25 are of the same quality, but a much better value, the people are very friendly, and will build you a bouquet of flowers you hand select. I cannot recommend this place to anyone. In fact if asked for a florist in UP/Fircrest Tacoma. I would say to avoid this place based on this experience. They did seem busy so perhaps they were preoccupied or stressed. Regardless I won't be supporting them or patronizing their business in the future and recommend others do the same. read more

My daughter sent me flowers for mother's day, when I got them they were shriveled and brown. The top looked like something had been dropped on top of it. I called them and they offered to replace them. They brought a new bouquet the next day and this one looked somewhat better, but not much. I will be sure to never order from this company. Received a bouquet of flowers delivered by Browns Floral 4734 South Tacoma Way and they were lovely

Spent ages trying to get an order posted online and it was not working. I finally called and they told me they shut down their online ordering. I found it highly frustrating to fill out the form over and over again, only to see it give me error messages, followed by retyping my credit card information, followed by a completed form, with no errors and nothing happened when I hit the submit button. I would have expected that when I called they did not offer to take my order. I confirmed that my online order was not placed and took my business elsewhere. It's the poorest run business I've seen online. I do not recommend them. I suggest that any other florist can outperform them. I'm updating this to add that I tried a different florist and the took my order and had it processed in less than 1 minute because they had both addresses on file. The other company now has all my business. read more

Horrible experience, less than one star, actually we weren't even given a chance to have an experience.... My partner and I are getting married this coming August and we were seeking a florist to dress up our Museum Wedding with style and elegance. We've made numerous phone calls to "Brown's, we even dropped by and left our number to schedule a consult. We never received phone calls, and never got a consult... We were ready to drop a huge amount of money to this florist because they worked with the museum before, unfortunately they lost their chance. We've showed many local vendors that are willing to assist us being that our wedding is not the traditional bride and groom. Out of all the outstanding vendors we've chosen, this is the first time we've actually felt discriminated. It wasn't until later that we found out that they do not support LGBT weddings, which is ok but they just seriously lost what would have been a "Large Budget Client". Due to their negligence and discrimination, we've decided to choose a different vendor who who took care of us with high professionalism. I plan on sharing this horrible experience with any family, friends, and coworkers. And due to this in professionalism, they will be removed from one of Tacoma's top wedding venues recommended vendors list. read more

They spoke to me very coldly and acted as if I was an inconvenience for coming in. I did not feel well respected here. If you just want flowers, then go ahead and try them. My daughter and I spent two hours with a consultant there 8 days ago and were told the quote for services would be emailed to us the next day. When we still had nothing 4 days later I called them to see what happened. They said they were typing it as we spoke and that I would have it before the end of that day.
